"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Bendis’ Bruce is pretty okay. He wrote the formerly Walmart exclusive Batman comics, which should be arriving at actual comic shops soon.
Bendis writing nowadays is okay at best which I find his X-Men and Iron Man (minus Doctor Doom before he Torch the Franchise and Run) so forgettable
His X-Men was legit good.
To me the entire Time displaced O5 Status Quo was "meh" to begin with especially with Iceman's coming out closet moment was poorly explained to IMHO and at least young cyke was bearable in Champions with redeeming qualities with the adult Cyke changing his post-Disassemble Anti Hero and rightclops ways
All New X-Men sucked but Uncanny X-Men was pure Rightclops.
I liked bendis's story in detective 1000. with old penguin taunting a decrepit senila bruce about how he knew who he was for decades but never said anything because then batman would have nothing to lose and the game would change but he wanted to taunt him now. and then bruce speaks up and has people take cobblepot away and reveals him being senile was an act.
It's official, King is off Batman once "City of Bane" concludes. Also, the book will be switching back to monthly schedule in January of 2020.
As for King, he will finish his story in a 12-issue maxi-series, Batman and Catwoman
Okay, I asked before which writer people wanted on the book post-King. On a similar note, which artist/pencilled wouldyou like to have take over as the regular artist?
Isn’t the new graphic novel Batman: Last Knight on Earth out now?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Otto Schmidt does a pretty good Batman. I’d also be interested in seeing Nick Derington work on it. His work on the Walmart exclusive stuff with Bendis was pretty nice.
And iirc, Last Knight On Earth is a miniseries. First issue comes out this week.
Here's a preview of Last Knight on Earth #1.
Tl;dr Bruce finds a dead child in Crime Ally and is shot. He subsequently wakes up in Arkham, where it appears he's been hallucinating his entire life as Batman as a coping mechanism for having killed his parents in crime alley. Chief Doctor looks like Joker.

Sounds super original.
Didn't Scott Snyder mention that one of the ideas for a Dark Nights Metal Batman, was a Bruce who was accused of killing his parents and grew up in Arkham? Oh dear.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.DC revealed more info on their 2020 DC Ink graphic novels. They’re all Batfamily related.
Shadow of The Batgirl (by Sarah Kuhn & Nicole Goux), which is about Cassandra Cain learning to be a superhero.
The Oracle Code (by Marieke Nijkamp & Manuel Preitano), which is about Barbara Gordon’s early days as Oracle.
The Lost Carnival (by Michael Moreci & Sas Milledge), which is about Dick Grayson’s time in the circus, and becoming (I believe) Nightwing.
And finally, Gotham High (by Melissa De La Cruz & Thomas Pitilli), which is about Batman, Catwoman, and Joker as high school students.
I’m definitely getting Shadow of The Batgirl, but I might get The Oracle Code too.
They revived Gotham high? AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Also more Cassandra Cain? I'm glad but i wonder why she's more prominent these days after Didio's attempts at stamping her out. Her role in the new movie perhaps?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. From what I can tell, it’s because some of the people who are starting to get clout now were reading the comics when she became Batgirl, and so she actually has fans among DC and WB’s staff now. Sarah Kuhn and Brian Hill (the two people writing her right now) have both said she’s their favorite Batgirl, for instance. Ten years ago, nobody in the industry was all that attached to her.
I'm just glad Cassandra and Stephanie are getting attention even if sometimes they are badly handled. Cassandra Cain in particular because her character was always interesting to me, and i always felt out of the entire bat-family, she was the closest in personality to Bruce.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."DC Black Label presents: Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity
Or: What if the Joker WASN'T insane and he kills because he WANTS to and what if Harley was a forensic psychiatrist and was helping the GCPD take the Joker into justice.

The book is still interesting, don't get me wrong, but I don't think the Joker in the mainline DCU has ever suffered from delusions; in White Knight, maybe, but I haven't read it so I can neither confirm or deny. That said, a Joker more closely modeled after real world serial killers like Bundy and Gacy could be interesting.
Well I welcome any book that puts to rest the idiocy that the Joker (or any of Batman's rogues for that matter) are mentally ill.
Bro I'm making a gag about Bendis-speak.
