PROJECT: Clean-up, aisle Evangelion fan fics

Alright, folks, with the new edict on fan fic content, we're going to have to go through the Eva fic pages and weed out some of the recs. The shipping page is the most obvious place to start, so let's.

SHIPPING: Right off the bat, the ones I've read and know that are on the chopping block are Changing Seasons, Breaching the Garden Gate, and Water Hazard. The rec for RE-TAKE, and possibly its trope page, will need some editing. Variations on a Theme is borderline...I remember there being something in there that was kinda skeevy, but it's been too long and the details aren't coming to me. I haven't read any of the others that are marked as Lemon so I can't speak for/against them.

AU: Eros and Psyche will need to go (no great loss)...not sure about Scar Tissue since what happens in there isn't meant to be titillating at all.

MARTY STU: Neo Armageddon Evangelist doesn't have any tags, but just from the description, it's probably going to have to go. I didn't read Hellstorm Evangelion closely enough to know exactly what happens there.

PEGGY SUE: The rec for ARSENAL will have to go, but it has its own trope page.

PARODY: It's been too long since I've read Misato's Predicament, so I don't remember what happens in that.

CROSSOVER: Fane of the Firebird, IIRC, only has material implying that Shinji and Rei have slept with each other, and I don't remember if they're aged up in the story or not.

That's it AFAIK.

EDIT: Per discussion in the Eva fic thread in that forum, Bpen's fics and 403 in the Crossover section should be safe, so I'll remove them from the list.

And, as Marq suggested, can we move them to the FF wiki, at least temporarily?

Unfortunately, as one of three people on the planet who have not seen EVA, I can't really help other than that.

I'd be fine with that.

Editing the OP with the problem fics, check for updates.

Hrm - can't we keep a rec for RE-TAKE All Ages? That's not just SFW, but miles better anyway.

I was thinking about that earlier. Since linking directly to prurient materials is a no-go now, the rec will have to be edited to only link to the all-ages version. Other than that, I think it's good; the rec itself is perfectly clean aside from the links. Its trope page may also need link pruning.

You know, I have the all-ages version on my computer but haven't read it yet...I need to make time for that.

In the fanfics Evangelion: Genocide Extended and Eva: Light and Water there is some lime scenes, I'm not sure but I think Aoi also has too.

Limes shouldn't be a problem; the new rule is mainly targeting Lemons.

Bump...I've heard nothing from the FF wiki regarding moving the problem fics there, and if that hasn't changed by Friday, I'll prune the offending recs and do the other cleanup edits. I'm going to move their titles to the relevant discussion pages for reference's sake unless I am directed otherwise.

I think the discussion page would be fine.

But once I get out of school, I'll try to find an active channel of communication.

Would it be a problem if you included the handles of the original reccers and the summaries as well, Willbyr?

Considering the recent changes, I think any more than the titles and possibly the websites where they could be found (and no more than just the websites) is enough.

Peggy Sure is done, and that wraps things for now. I'll leave this open for another coupla days to see if anything else needs to be done.
