Manga/Dragon Ball

You know, this is old news, but it always annoyed me that people would use the Goku vs Toppo fight in the manga as evidence against the "Goku has a second, Godly Ki base form that is much stronger" theory, when that very same fight has Toppo "transform" from base form with mortal ki (which is a bit stronger than SS3) to an identical-looking form with Godly Ki (which is on par with MSSB).

I'm not saying the theory is true, just that it's weird to use that fight as an argument against the theory when the other fighter in the fight straight-up proves that the theory is possible.

Saiyan beyond God has been discarded, stop being petulant over it.

I'm not being petulant, I'm just looking back at various stuff in Dragon Ball throughout the years, and that jumped out at me. Right now, I'm reading about all the fusions original to Dragon Ball Fusions (they should make a Fusions 2).

Apparently the next Xenoverse 2 DLC is... Android 21!? Speaking of Fighterz, seems like DBS Broly will have some sort of transforming gimmick? Also, vague spoilers for the next chapter of DBS...

Seems like a new character similar to Ginyu is appearing. Also, a battle more resembling hunting from Naruto or One Piece, whatever the hell that means??

Oh thank god. I was worried they'd keep him perma-buff, even though that's A) redundant with Old Broly around, and B) not the appeal of the character.

We might get an announcement of Broly's new English VA. Then again it might just be a one-time thing like Hit's VA from Xenoverse

There's a pretty safe bet it's going to be him, so you can chill on that.

Why would it be Vic? He was fired a while ago, probably before Broly was even finished being programmed, and it's not like Funimation can't get ahold of another voice actor to replace him.

Yeah unless they pre-recorded dialogue way ahead of Nu Broly being made, there's next to no chance of it being him.

However, I could also see them using a stand in if they haven't settled on the new voice.

Could always just have Nu Broly just grunt for all his dialogue

I don't know Fighter Z feels like a pretty major game to get it permanent. Plus he'd be voice-acting for 2 if both Broly's get new lines.

Re-dubs really aren't cost-effective. And I wouldn't bet on Nu Broly being the permanent role, for two reasons:

• Funimation's time to find a suitable voice is limited by the release schedule of the game, it's not like they'd delay it to find a better pick if they weren't sure
• Conversely, because it's a game, they have a much easier time recasting the role if the voice they do pick doesn't work out

The galaxy brain solution is to just play with Japanese voices; you don't have to deal with this when you do that.
