He is being exposed to Godly Ki alot
Goku, Vegeta, Black and Zamasu
but that would imply its like Radiation...
Is Piccolo and Gohan gonna develop new forms due to all the Godly Ki in the air?
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!I was thinking more like "bring in Trunks' training with Shin from the manga, but instead of making it lead to something stupid, like healing powers, make it lead to something awesome, like Trunks having a little bit of Godly Ki and not knowing it".
Ohh...
That could work though again that requires the good Kais to be proactive in the anime and we can't have that.
Future Trunks honestly is one of the more iconic users of Super Saiyan
Its Him, Goku and Vegeta that the form is pretty much associated with 'Sorry Gohan'
Trunks joining or being on the verge of joining the SSG club makes sense to me
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole! The Animators flexing with Heroes is pretty funny
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Funny enough, this is his second instance on Heroes. Remember when Blue Evolution Vegeta Final Flash'd Kamioren in Episode #11? That was also him. The man even publicly announced his contributions to Heroes around two months ago on his personal Twitter, but most people thought it would only be the former Vegeta thing.
Shida's a freelance animator who happens to primarily work on Toei Animation projects. As I implied before, he worked on Dragon Ball (Z, GT and some of the movies), but he also did some One Piece, PreCure, Gegege No Kitaro (2018) and more.
I wouldn't say that an increased budget had anything to do with it, but rather a change in staff and positions. Yamamuro's additional stilted influence in directing and storyboarding from Heroes' earlier episodes have been reduced, replaced by Kazuya Karasawa (storyboarder for this episode and the last one) and Yui Komatsu (director of this episode) shining through.

I love Shida's work as much as everyone else, but there's one bit that always makes it weird, and that's the constantly warping muscles/textures in close-ups on skin. It's super well animated, but it's almost too well animated, and it makes the characters look like they're made of energy beam effects. Makes me a little nauseous whenever I see it.
Trunks unknowingly having Godly ki from training with Shin sounds more stupid tbh. It really undercuts the ritual and Whis' training of Goku & Vegeta is Trunks and Kaioshin can give him god ki accidentally.
Unbelievable.
Its not THAT unbelievable if you're willing to stretch it. Shin might not have even known that would be the result of the training because he's still a rookie Kai himself. Whis properly trained Goku and Vegeta, hence they have better control over their God Ki compared to Trunks who can't tap into it without sufficient emotional trauma.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. No, obviously I like my own idea. It's just that I can't believe Saiga is still doing this. After 3 weeks of me being suspended, I haven't even been back for a week and he's already back to nitpicking everything I say.
You ever think...maybe you can just...ignore what he has to say. Its not like you have to listen to what he says.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I didn't know you were suspended (not that I'd care) and I'm just joining in on the discussion. If you're going to call other people's ideas stupid (Toyotaro) than it's not like you can expect your own to be free of criticism.
And honestly, making vague posts about it does nothing constructive.
I try to.
So, any news on that Super show that will supposedly be coming out this month? Obviously it's not happening, but have we heard anything on why it's not happening?
After the potential reveal that they're making another movie, I guess the assumption is that they'll continue focusing in that direction rather than bringing back the anime.
And it might be a coincidence, but I'm curious about the fact that Heroes' animation dramatically improved by the time the anime was supposed to return. Maybe the leaks were correct that that was the original plan, but things have since changed and freed up some staff.
Do we have any idea of how many from Super's staff worked on the movie?
I'm guessing that a lot of Toei's focus is also being placed on the One Piece anime, since there's been a huge effort to improve production for it with the start of the Wano arc.
I think there's also a One Piece movie in production as well. They might be stretched thin between projects.
x3: We have quite a bit of shared staff membersnote :
- Tatsuya Nagamine - Co-directed Super (TV Series) with Ryota Nakamura. Also worked on Power Puff Girls Z and One Piece (TV series) starting this month with Wano (though he directed One Piece Film: Z and Heart of Gold prior).
- Naotoshi Shida
- Koudai Watanabe
- Yuya Takahashi (A fan favorite freelance animator who started on Super's Episode 14)
- Naoki Tate (Been with the franchise since Z and GT. Gets too much flack for being the "Episode 5 guy".)
- Shuuichiro Manabe
- Futoshi Higashide
- Yuki Hayashi (Technically he only did one episode of Super, Episode 2, and parts of the first opening. Not to be confused with My Hero Academia's music composer, but he did animate on that show too.)
- Yuichi Karasawa
- Atsushi Nikaido
- Ryo Onishi (Brought us bouncy Goku from the teaser and film, and two distinct Ribrianne scenes from the TOP).
That's also true. Some of them are either working on the new movie, working on the Wano arc of One Piece, and to a lesser extent, Heroes and other Toei properties.

I was not implying Trunks's forms were tied to Broly's or even should be. I was stating, to my displeasure, that as much as I don't like the lack of creative vision in the English dub if I had been working on it at the same schedule I would have caused a Dub Induced Plothole that would wrongly make people associate Trunks's new form with Super Broly's forms. It was me, acknowledging the pitfalls of being "creative" with your dub when you have no say in the creative direction.
I'm saying much of what's been done hasn't been good, but in hindsight, my approach would not have worked either. Waiting for the Japanese version to conclude before dubbing might be the only "good" way to go about it. But we have video games players will want context to, waiting is really not an option.
And if 光 to いか isn't a pun in Japanese, it could have fooled this ignorant English speaker. I still say it shouldn't have been directly translated. I'd risk an accidental plot hole over context lacking stupid names.
That's why he wants you to have the money. Not so you can buy 14 Cadillacs but so you can help build up the wastesI don't think Trunk's "psuedo-god" form is named in any dub. I think it's only named in stuff like Heroes (the game).

It's used very little, which kind of surprises me.
Xenoverse 2 only had it in cutscenes (despite adding a new Trunks in the same DLC to use Sword of Hope) and he doesn't use it in the Heroes anime or manga, even after Vegeta got to use Evolution again.
I also would have thought they'd give it to Xeno Trunks.
Listening to this, while I get that Toei might have had their own plans derailed, I think they could have pushed Toriyama to say a bit more so they had more to work with.
It might have also helped if they showed a bit more of him doing stuff like the Manga did (flying to save his allies and stuff like that).
One Strip! One Strip!I'm of the belief that the manga included scenes like Jiren's introduction as a direct response to criticisms of the anime's portrayal of Jiren, so Toyotaro had a bit of an unfair advantage there.
I don't think Trunks' new form should be tied to Broly's forms, I think it would be better if Trunks' new form was tied closer to the "proto-SSB" that Goku used against Beerus, when he was keeping up with Beerus using what appeared to be SS1, but still enhanced with Godly Ki. Just say that Trunks is using that form.
