He looks like Gotendo, because it's clear he couldn't be the protag.
That's probably why it takes place so many years later and at the end of Oob's training.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Gotendo?
...huh. I guess there's something to be said for consistent inconsistency.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.If they did the Boo Saga, a mistake like that shouldn't have stuck.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Huh it’s weird how they never have Goku occasionally visit his family.
Like the guy can teleport without any effort. It really shouldn’t be hard to put in that he visits them every once in a while. I’m not sure why Goku has to effectively cut off all contact with them especially since he knows they miss him.
Man Goku as a kid again. Could have been an amusing novelty for a while but it really did go on for far too long.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."To the end of the series even.
Until this part anyway.
They didn't even shown him killing Super 17, laughs.

Apparently, Super Broly was in the works before Kale was ever thought of
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"Wow.
That's incredible.
why the fuck did they put a female Broly in the arc before Broly
why didn't they tie any of this together
So was creating a rule 63 Broccoli random or not?
It doesn't seem like a necessary thing.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Yeah. I thought that Kale had the misfortune of being created before Toei said 'fuck it, let's straight up use Broly' and that doing so was a mistake. But if they were already going to use Broly, then it's Kale whose very inception feels really pointless.
They still had the potential to actually tie the two in together, considering that they had plans to use both before either of them appeared. And they really screwed up on that front, with no references between them or in-universe connection.
Man this franchise really needs someone capable in charge.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Everybody needs to sit down and hash things out.
None of this write it down on a napkin (or however Toriyama made his notes) and let everyone just do what they want bullshit.
Start with one version, and then everyone follows that, while adding extra character beats an shit.
There needed to be a proper road laid out.
One Strip! One Strip! There's be no point in having multiple versions than
I don't mind having multiple versions that have different approaches to the same outline
I do mind the piss poor planning and development of the ideas
I'd rather the versions be consistent with THEMSELVES than with each other

Insert Fry.gif here.
Pfffft. So much for Broly being "Male!Kale" she's a rip off right down to the meta sense.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Sure there is. Each version/medium has it's own editor/director who keeps all the material attached to that medium straight. Or, more simply, one coordinator keeps straight multiple mediums and their individual, unique characteristics.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.A simple reference would make do...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Why do we need multiple versions?
Just have one base version, with the other version following it, but expanding on some material that the other one doesn't cover.
Like, all we need is a bit of structure to it so there are no later contradictions like with the original DB / DBZ anime and the manga it was based on (Dr. Frappe dammit!) and it'd be good.
And since Toriyama actually has time to plan things out, they'd have plenty of time to iron out the kinks.
Jiren could have easily been fixed if there was a baseline to work off of, with some extra scenes expanding on him (approved by Toriyama of course).
But instead, the ship has multiple steering wheels, and everybody wants to go their own way.
One Strip! One Strip!Because the release schedule would make it completely impractical to have the same version.
It should be obvious looking at the versions we have right now why they're so different.
Toei couldn't maintain decent pacing while following a weekly manga. They can't follow a monthly one.
And Toyotarou was heavily behind the anime even while the anime was padded out the wazoo. It just flat out isn't possible for them to do the same thing.

The development & behind the scenes stuff in this franchise is just weird.
Its like everything has to be kept separate no matter how well they'd fit in with each other.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Ok, this is true, but they could have gone for making it seasonal.
Give one story time to get ahead. I mean, there's also the fact that they started the two stories at the exact same time as well. What other series has done that?
I also do think that with some set guidelines, Toei could've done a better job. Just let them know what they can and can't do (so we don't get another Fusion Reborn scenario), and boom. Now things are smoothed out.
One Strip! One Strip!A Heroes/FighterZ/Xenoverse 2 livestream is gonna start in a couple of hours:
Pretty sure the reason Kale exists, Watsonianlly speaking, is because Universe 6 and 7 are twins and whatever happens in one has some manner of counterpart in the other.
I mean, Cabba is Shota!Vegeta, Caulifla is Rule 63!Goku, there's Frost working with the Saiyans, there's the Namekians, so on and so forth.
Also, Kale is great and all you heretics slandering her deserve to be thrown into a wood chipper, feet first!
*shakes fist in righteous anger*
New trailer of World Mission, shows a better look at the different game modes and characters, and also introduces a tournament mode called Hero Stadium:
I honestly can't wait to get my hands on this game.
Okay, the first post in my blog is now live! I've added the commentary for the second part of the episode (I really dropped the ball there) as well as expanded some other paragraphs and re-worded a few things. Also, there a picture! And even a .gif!!
I think I'm happy with this format going forward. Let me know what you guys think!
Here's the first episode post. In addition to whatever other comments you guys might have, what were your thoughts on Goku being turned into a kid, and the way Oob was handled?
