Damn. That's such sick burn I can't even be mad at how people are shitting on Gohan again.
Is it just me, or does the fandom seem to constant be searching for a whipping boy they can rag on.
It was Yamcha, it was Raditz, now it's Gohan.
Why is there this need to pick a character and go after him? Is it entirely because of annoyance at their fans, with the character taking flak for being that person's favourite?
One Strip! One Strip!I think it's true like in the anime vegeta only went sparkle super sayain thinking about some random kid he met like 3 times. also I guess thats how roshi powered up so much between when he first appeared and now, he was no longer getting any
Its especially galling in Videl's case.
Girl had a lot opportunities, she could have been a successful martial artist & maybe finally end her father's constant winning streak, become police chief or some kind of law enforcer, or even help manage her father's large estate & billions in royalties.
All that possibility and she ends up a house-wife. Like there's nothing wrong with motherhood but there is an inherent tragedy in seeing someone not live up to their full potential and unlike Gohan at least she did actually had some fire in her belly.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You know? Considering that Videl actually had the passion to train and get stronger...I shudder to think what would happen if she had saiyan blood in her...
She's already more of a saiyan that her husband is
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"You mean "was"
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah, good point
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"Day after I think.
Also that Sabat thing left off the follow up which was better.

This song needs more love.Yeesh. That was so full on "forget about how the series treats its female characters, let's talk about how much Gohan sucks!" that you can actually see Sabat apologize about it further down the line.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I've never seen so many people so upset about the treatment of one character before...
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.In my defense my last posts were about the treatment of female characters.
It’s just in the case of Videl ya can’t talk about her without at least mentioning the reason why she no longer fights.
I think there’s some similarities to 18’s case with Krillen.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Is talking about how much Gohan sucks a thing? Huh, like father like son, I guess.
With Goku is usually way more mean spirited while with Gohan is just wishing he was better
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"Yeah the impression I get from most of the ribbing is "we make fun because we care".
Yea, with Goku it's way more mean-spirited.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Hey at least 18 didn't get one of her defining traits completely stripped away to make room for the housewife stereotype and she still gets to fight.
It sucks that this is the metric we have to use.

This song needs more love. There is a tinge of sadness though.
Really all this ribbing is done with a lot of sadness.
True, true. At least its not all bad with her.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah.
I think it is mean spirited in the case of Yamcha though.
With Gohan, it's frustrating because we know he can be more, but his own creator is determined to keep that from ever happening because he realized too late that he had no interest in mining that potential.
One Strip! One Strip!Bring back Great Saiyawoman. Gohan and Videl as a crime fighting couple is too good.
Like Scott said, you can excuse Chi-Chi and 18 but Videl doesn't have the same excuse.
And i find it hilarious that people in that thread push the "Videl is traumatized after the Spopovich fight" theory as true when Scott thinks that makes things so much worse akin to a Downer Ending
Uni catI don't see how you can argue that Videl was traumatized by Spoopovich when her behavior didn't change at all afterwards.
She accepted the lose and moved on, like basically everyone else did after getting the shit kicked out of them. Trauma doesn't really seem to be a thing that Toriyama does. Can anyone think of an example from the manga?

While we're on the subject, it's complete BS that she didn't get to beat Spopovich within an inch of his life.

I think even Mr. Satan himself commented on how much he wants it.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Frieza had trauma from being stuck in hell.
In a sense...she already did.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.
That makes me feel great for my life style, thanks
