Wait, sorry, it was the one being talked about with production to food. I was thinking of good to production because with Sowers, I'd min-max extensively for production and that allowed me to build all the things as if I had another resource buffing industry.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterAh, that make sense then...
Give me cute or give me...something?So if I'm achievement hunting, which of the basic factions is best for an Economic victory? I'm leaning toward UE, but some of the more production-focused factions might still be able to out-Dust them...
So food helps with building speed?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I think Horatio is the best for Economic victory. Horatio lets you have a bigger population. Bigger population, more taxes. Also bigger population more industry to expand faster to get more taxes. And more tech to research faster to get to the better money structures.
Tealove is best pony.Pony Fanon IndexExcellent points. Plus the knock-on effect of just having +1 F per pop is cool too.
Indirectly. Food increases population, population means more industry.
The UE passive makes your production increase proportional to your taxes. As in, the higher your taxes the more your production. Build some morale buildings and then set the slider way up for extreme money and production. Heck, just buy the morale buildings with your excess money.
Increased population is certainly a strong competitor, but personally I would just make a UE-based custom race with population growth bonuses.
^ But unless you're in high enough tech to get most morale buildings, you probably can't crank the taxes up that high...
Give me cute or give me...something?The point is simply that it's always an option and never a penalty. Cloning heroes doesn't strike me as the best way to earn money either. Of course, I'm usually talking about custom races and think of their innate passives as the only traits that really matter.
Economic victory only requires you to have created that much Dust. The amount you spend doesn't matter. So in theory, cloning Administrator or Corporate heroes could get a fair amount of Dust-flow going.
What you say about the UE is why I was initially inclined toward them though.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Wit hero bonuses mostly affect trade, as opposed to taxes or whatever you call the more standard dust production? That's all well and good during peacetime, but in my experience it's never seemed safe to rely on trade since they'll declare war on you as soon as you start looking successful.
Isn't it a straight-up +2% Dust (produced by the system) per point of Wit?
Dust produced per system and science produced per system...
Though their main selection of talents on dust is centered on trade routes...only one that directly generate dust...and just paltry 10...

Give me cute or give me...something?Yeah, the actual abilities only affect trade income. But you can stack Wit for many levels.
So Endless Space is now following the footsteps of Sword of the Stars...namely the fact that there's now roguelike spinoff!

Give me cute or give me...something?Looks pretty entertaining. Plus, I like how Endless Legend looks. Might pick that up straight away.
So, I bought the game from Amazon, unaware that no matter where you bought it you needed to join Steam to install it. Before I start ignoring it (I got it on sale, so I wouldn't be losing much), do you have to have Steam to play it - or just to activate the game?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I bought it on Steam so idk.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I think it uses Steam to handle multiplayer accounts and cloud saves. Just make a steam account and see if that's enough to activate—Valve's great about not spamming you unless you say that you want to be notified when a game on your wishlist goes on sale.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterYou need Steam, Period.
Anyway, I love the Vaulters...though I got curbstomped in the first game due to me neglecting military...when 2 sides declare war at once, can't fight...
...so I abandon 2 vaulter games...3rd game there's 3 admin/corp heroes from the start...also I found several Endless structures in my sector...woot!

Give me cute or give me...something?Realized that not all people have probably noticed these, so... Yeah link to official site pages of Endless Legend and Dungeon of the Endless

First I've heard of Endless Legend. How's Dungeon of the Endless? I have it on my wishlist, but I keep forgetting to look into it more.
Its pretty good if you ask me and as hard as roguelikes are. I guess roguelikes fit very well Early Access style since most roguelikes keep getting features added to them anyway.
Endless Legends is also for early access game VERY solid(very few bugs and quite enjoyable) even though its still obviously unfinished and AI is really stupid.
Anyway, there is going on faction creation competition for Endless Legend and they are on voting phase now. I have one attempt there too, though sadly its not really getting noticed...
I put in a thing but it was really bare bones. I doubt it'll get noticed XD

^ Is there any race trait that grant that? The only thing I can think of that grant it is that tech just below the science victory research...
