... I realize that in my desperate thinking of what to name NPCs I ended up with the two solo signaling police being Tim and Eric. That was completely unintentional, I swear.

Anyway, sorry about not posting yesterday. When I did finally get back from work I got sidetracked by some homework and then friends, and next thing I knew it was bedtime. Working on a post now.

Nook and Cranny, Mc Suckie and O'Suckie...

Well like I said, I swear it was completely unintentional. Eric got named earlier on, where as Tim was just a name I pulled out on the spot for that post since it wouldn't seem right for George to refer to Eric by name but not the other guy. I only realized I ended up with "Tim and Eric" afterward. (To clarify, I've only seen a little bit of their show. I didn't really care for it one way or the other, it just seemed boring to me.)

Anyway, to bring over the discussion from the signup thread: Yeah, with the setting how it is it's easily possible for either or both of the new characters to show up having followed whatever ads Ross put out and only just got there, late.

The other option for the two, (Two, assuming Reven hasn't lost interest having to wait. Sorry about that.) is being out on their own solo hunt and running into the group once they've left. Right now, I'll leave it up to the new guys; with the first option you could probably post now, the second I'd prefer if you still held on for now. (Though hopefully it won't be long.)

Speaking of which though, there's still no posts since my last one. So I'm left again wondering if my players have dropped out or if I need to edit my last post... And having just posted this and looking back at it, I realize it looks a lot like I might be trying to guilt trip people. I swear I'm not, though I suppose that's not something I can prove. If you guys don't want to be in, that's fine by me. I'd just prefer to know rather than sit here wondering.

I mostly just hadn't figured out what to post yet, and then got swept up in other things, and forgot about posting.

Oh, I'm still interested. Meeting up in the field might be a good idea.

Oh I'm still around, it's just that for the past few days my job called me in early to work the whole day so that by the time I get home I'm too tired to write.

Anyways wait a few minutes and I'll jump right in...

@Falkon: Ah, understandable. Happens to me fairly often, even with this RP.

Anyway, for now I'll wait in case Acriz wanted to post before I did again. However I probably won't wait any longer than... When I get up tomorrow, I think.

If possible, I think I'll try to get things moving along a bit with my next post. Whenever that will end up being, exactly.

Having checked, it seems Atomic Nut has not posted anywhere on the forum since the 27th of March, so I don't know what's up with that. For now I'll try my best to make sure he could easily rejoin if he comes back, but we may have to assume that he's gone permanently.

Which would be particularly unfortunate, as I had been working out ways Alearth would fit into the overarching story.

EDIT: Derp, forgot to mention; now would be a good time for Reven and/or Yuri to jump in if they'd like.

Hey there Popcorn. I hope you've taken a look at the first discussion post like I suggested. If you, or anyone else for that matter, have other questions about the setting feel free to ask. There are some things I've already thought up but haven't brought up because I don't want to bore you guys unnecessarily with details that aren't immediately pertinent to what's going on. Or there are some things I haven't thought up yet because I'm not yet certain what to go with or that haven't even occurred to me, and I'll go ahead and be honest if I can't immediately answer. Same with anything I choose to keep secret because of potential spoilers.

I've been kinda meaning to mention that for a while but it seems like I end up forgetting it every time it comes to posting... <_<

Also to bring up a something you kinda brought up in signups:

I appreciate the understanding here, unless I'm imagining that. I'm not gonna try and lie or pretend my GMing style doesn't have railroading. I do try to lower it, though I'd be a biased judge as to whether I'm succeeding in that or not. Usually I do in fact try to guide or "railroad" players towards certain events I have planned, but I try to make sure those events are open to more than one way to proceed, and let the players pick their own way. And sometimes I'll have multiple events ready that can be taken in different orders. It may not seem like that so far because I decided to restrict this first segment a bit more than I would otherwise. In hindsight, that probably wasn't the best decision on my part. But I promise, a plan I already had set in motion a while back should correct that.

As for how James could get in, right now the group just reached the kinda major roadway of Chester avenue. (Or at least I'm assuming it's kinda major, since it's bigger on the map than the roads around it.) He could run into them having been traveling along it; just a thought. As for the actual plot point you brought up in his backstory, (The wife possessed by demons thing.) I'll have to actually give that some thought on how to fit it in exactly with other things going on. To be clear, it's still alright and does fit with the setting, so go ahead and keep it; I'm just admitting that I'll have to think where it ties in with other plot points before I actually use it.

And one last thing to mention in this post: I've got work tomorrow and the day after, which combined with doing some driver's education stuff to try and get my driver's license means I'm gonna be pretty short on time until around midnight my time or so, and that's a rough estimate at best. (For reference, right now it is 9:45 PM my time.) So for both of those days, don't expect any posts from me until then.

My internet connection has been and will be spotty for the forseeable future, just as a heads up..

On this railroading thing, the only thing I've noticed so far is our apparent inability to catch that kid, so...

Oh, that? Well, partially that was because he is tied to later plans, so I was a little inclined to let him get away, yeah. But on the other hand? You guys didn't seem to try too hard. I mean, none of you even jumped out the window like he did.

EDIT: Though thinking back on it now, there's also a matter of me having apparently made an error when laying out the building, so it probably should've been easier for you guys to give chase than I meant it to. That's totally my bad, sorry.

Anyway, I'm here now and done with everything I had to do today. I'm gonna try and get a post in the main thread done soon.

Anyway, I'm here now. Just responded to Baruta in signups and I'm planning to post in the main thread soon.

For a minor announcement: turns out I'm going to be working tomorrow as well. It's a slightly longer shift, which combined with finishing off the last bit of the Driver's education before the final tests means my estimate of midnight as with tonight and yesterday is bumped up to 1AM instead. However if they offer me any more shifts to fill this week I'll probably decline, so the rest of the week should be free for me to pay more attention to the RP.

... Or get distracted by my friends.

Alright, after thinking about it, I figure you guys at least deserve an explanation as to why nothing's going on from me yet. So here's a rundown of what I just went through in the past few days in terms of this RP:

First, I decided I'd wait to let more people respond to the situation before I forced it to continue. Simple courtesy, so I let myself get distracted. Then, about yesterday or so I decided it had been long enough and realized you guys were possibly again simply unsure of what to post. Unfortunately, I then got some minor writer's block, so I let myself get distracted while I waited for it to pass.

Then, last night shortly before I went to bed, something really, really major went down. As in, could have possibly been a matter of life and death for someone I care about major. No, I will not be elaborating further as it is very private, sorry. Anyway, this thing that went down has kind of shot my concentration to post to all hell, and I'm not sure when it'll be back. Could be a few hours, could be a few days.

I should also mention ahead of time as per usual, that I've got work tomorrow. I've also got work Wednesday, so if I get it back on either of those days, a post still won't come until pretty late.

I'm terribly sorry about the holdup.

It's alright. Real life comes first.

"Someone" is thankfully fine, yeah. The situation is actually over... At least, it seems so, and I really hope so.

Right now the problem isn't actually that itself. It's more my brain continually going "holy shit that just happened".

Anyway, thanks for understanding guys.

I'll try to get a post up when I can. Just again, not sure how long that'll be.

There we go, managed a post. If this still leaves people unsure of what to post, I'll try editing it tomorrow after work.

For now, I think I'll let my mind continue to blank by watching more shows on Netflix. I'll probably check in at least one more time before I actually go to bed tonight, just in case there's something major I didn't think about that you guys want to point out or something.
