It's not exactly what I'd call Gorn.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Image works, demonstrates trope perfectly. In fact, when I saw this topic, it was the very first image I was going to suggest.
Belief or disbelief rests with you.My question is what happened to the original image of the bee on the eye?
It dosen't make me want to cover my eyes when I see it.
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianI like the current pick. It demonstrates the trope without being too gory.
It kind of bothers me that no one suggested this◊ picture in the last thread, but the current one is basically the same thing.
Picard is still better. Also holy crap Uncanny Valley.
What's that from, anyways?
Belief or disbelief rests with you.I think whoever was playing had the graphics settings on low, I remember it looking better than that.
Oh god, that Dead Space 2 pic is freaky!
I'm just wondering why the realistic heart page "gets away" with having no image, but another squeamish trope doesn't.
Creator of the planet Vexus and DSBT Insani T.The pic is about as perfect a demonstration of the trope as you can get without actually showing the eye trauma. I'm fine with it.
Because this image isn't actually showing anything. It's an image with a drill and an eyeball. It's just suggestive.
If the image were somebody with a needle in their eye then you could easily scream "NSFW" but as it is- it's showing the trope without actually showing it.
FWIW that scene never showed the actual gore in the movie, either, and it still creeped me out very badly. I can't actually look at that page. Call me squeamish, or whatever.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere. It's definitely a creepy scene...I know I did the drawing-up squirm in my seat when I saw it in the theater and his eye flexed under the drill point.
I think we're good to lock this and move on.

I don't know how people can wear contact lenses. You have to touch your eye. I don't think I could get used to that.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. It's hard for about the first month and then you just get used to it.
But yeah, I think we are good here.
I know I couldn't.

What happened to the black and white pic?
Please. This◊ is "the b&w pic", and this is what happened to it.
The IP thread could be found in several ways, for instance editing the page, or checking its history.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Since this trope has subpages, the main page should not have an image.
Why does having subpages means the main page can't have an image?

Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianThat's a guideline, not a hard and fast rule. He said that pics should ideally go on the subpages.
It seems like where that thread left off was "images are okay on the main page, but they should be medium-neutral." Or did I miss a post?
Also, doesn't that only when the sub-pages already have images? They don't in this case.
Maybe we should use this thread to find images for the sub-pages instead.

Even with the link to the cuteness overload site, that picture is going to make you cover your eyes with your hands when you first see it!
The page with realistic hearts requested no pictures last I checked, so why should a more squeamish subject get a pic?
