He started off doing Beat Poetry, but his style and subject matter make him proto-rap and a favourite of many rappers.

Because, you know, there isn't a thriving Dancehall and Dub scene in London. Dubstep just sprang up out of nowhere.

Two Reggae subgenres (Rockers and Lover's Rock) were developed in London
