Trails franchise (Trails In The Sky, Trails Of Cold Steel etc)

Is no one else bothered by the increasing lack of meaty challenges?

CS is pretty busted. Honestly even as far back as Crossbell, there's annoying mechanics put in to the battle system. I've never liked the staggering enemies with weapon thing, it doesn't add a whole lot to just running into them, and making running away require a percentage is BS. Not to mention making Information only good on that one party member who has it, and needing to Analyze or use Battle Scopes are precious wastes of turns, especially with bosses or on harder difficulties.

This would be a good franchise to incorporate Kingdom Hearts-style "future major character" super bosses.

Like, secret members of Ouroboros or things like that?

One idea I had was to take a page out of the Divertissement and have you play as future major characters after the Final Boss (but before an epilogue or what-not) and fight the protagonists with them, though my specific idea would have had them masked to keep them mysterious.

Anyway, I've purchased CSIII and am currently downloading it, although I'm going to try and wait until I've completed the Crossbell games before I start it. I should be able to finish Zero tomorrow, and I might be able to start Azure as well.

I was thinking that maybe Rean and Altina could be added as a boss to Ao no Kiseki PS4 as an epilogue addition.

Towa superboss when?

Add in a Phantasmagoria fragment to each entry, reface some of the super bosses from games past. Or even player characters themselves.

Imagine the 5 users of the Eight Leaves as the ultimate super boss.

If we got more bosses like 3rd spoilers Cassius, that would be amazing. A singular, really powerful boss that doesn't need all the minions or gimmicks. Just a really strong, straightforward slug fest of strength.

Question: if one has the English PC beta patches of Zero and Ao downloaded, how does one go about transferring the save data from Zero to Ao? Is it even possible?

I couldn't figure it out myself , so I just used the perfect save the version of Ao I used came with.

If you have a perfect save you get to pick which character you choose at the end of Zero.

Yeah, I'm only on chapter 1 so far, but everything I"ve heard about Ao doesn't give me high hopes for Elie. She seems like a less compelling version of Kloe.

No lie, even if one wasn't boring and the other criminal, I think I'd still go with Randy, for I'll always be in favor of Bromance over Romance.

I like Elie more than Noel at least.

Where'd you hear that? I've been following all info about Hajimari but that's the first I'm hearing on anything like that.

It's why I'm hoping next arc has a fixed romance. Having to split your time between love interests means no matter how decent they turn out, individually they'll never get the time and care that Estelle and Joshua got. Also that you'll constantly have to tuck those development scenes behind Bonding Points, so it'll rarely get directly tied into the plot. Yeah, either let players pick, or drop the system and give a main romance again.

I don't think it is impossible to make a Chosen Romance have as much care, but that would require having the lockdown point be very early.

Like, for instance, you pick your partner in the first game, second game that's it, no more double timing, every romantic event is now tied to the plot, you carry whatever max link benefits you got, etcetera.
