Alright I can confirm firsthand that the game has been beaten. I'm not going to say anything but as far as spoilers go, I assume everyone is fine with just spoiler tags?
This song needs more love.Spoiler tags while labeling it as CS4 spoilers would be good.
I'd like to know what happened.
Edited by burnpsy on Sep 23rd 2018 at 12:04:51 PM
Well here's everything I know: (MAJOR CS4 ending spoilers!!!) There are three things I know for a fact and the rest is hearsay from people who watched the stream: The Grandmaster gets partially revealed (as far as I can tell it's no one we know), Celine becomes a cat girl (or just gets a form she can transform into at will. Not sure) and is playable, and Olivier survives, loses an eye, and marries Schera. I've seen pictures of that stuff.
The hearsay is that Angie survives, Cedric joins Ouroboros while Bleublanc, Sharon, and the Stahlritter leave it, Osborne dies (and maybe was supposed to be a resurrection/reincarnation of Dreichels maybe? Not sure), Victor dies, Arianrhod and McBurn die, Rean survives but loses his ogre powers, and Ouroboros get the Sept-Terrions and make preparations for their next plan: Eternal Recurrence. No idea if any of that stuff is true but a few people have been saying them so they're somewhat likely.

This song needs more love.CS4: Can confirm that Angie survives. She's playable.
Full list of CS4 playable characters (spoilers, ofc.)◊

If they keep crossing over the arcs like this then the end of the Calvard arc will have like 50+ playable characters.
This song needs more love.So basically business as usual, ultimately. Ouroboros can cross off another item on their checklist and the heroes manage to barely scrape out a victory.

"No will to break."While you're correct, you should spoiler tag that.
You may consider those details a given, but you just summarized what's behind the spoiler tags.

CSIV spoilers: I will say though, assuming that stuff is true, it seems like Ouroboros is losing members faster than it can replace them. They're down at least one Anguis and three Enforcers. Not to mention how I don't think they ever replaced Luciola, Joshua, Loewe, and Renne.
This song needs more love.CS4: Watch as, in the final game in the series, they finally fail and their plans fall apart because they're short-staffed.

Oh god, I haven't even played CS 3 yet, this is killing me.
Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleCSIV Spoilers Here is the Grandmaster, BTW.

This song needs more love. This guy has been doing marathon streams of CS4.
This is one of those times I'm glad to be a Spoiler Hound.

I generally am too, but I've enjoyed playing Cold Steel so much, that I want to sort of avoid them.
Si Vis Pacem, Para Perkeleadult Millium?
Edited by Memers on Sep 24th 2018 at 5:17:35 AM
Just watch, Campanella will be the last one standing. The zeroth, and the last. And it'll turn out the one spying on Star Door 14 is Dorothy.
"No will to break."I mean, if I had to guess, I’d say that Campanella will be very important to the series’ endgame.
Oh God! Natural light!CSIV spoiler This was the other picture that I saw of the ending.◊

This song needs more love.Just saw the streamer I linked finish Cold Steel 4:
Of all the unconfirmed stuff Vatek mentioned, I don't know enough Japanese to know if Bleublanc left Ouroboros, but Victor lived (losing an arm). Everything else is true, including the part about Osborne.
Kevin, Zin, Wazy and Noel show up only in the end credits. Said end credits are superimposed over the wedding reception for Olivert and Schera.
The game has two endings. The first plays after the first defeat of Osborne. Rean and Crow die, Valimar and Ordine self-destruct, and Millium stays dead. On reload, an alternate ending becomes available, which is when that screenshot of the full playable cast I linked happens. All of the mechs disappear, but Millium and Crow are revived in exchange. Rean's hair and eyes go back to normal. The empire releases all of the lands they annexed, I think.
Millium spends most of the game after Arianhod's death as a spirit. She interacts with the party as if nothing was wrong. Also, she and Jusis are definitely an item by the end credits.
The game ends on a post-credits sequence where Rean is in his room, there's a photo of whatever girl you chose for him next to the rest of his photos, then Rean gets a call from that girl and leaves his room.

CSIV: Do you know if Vita left Ouroboros? That was another rumor I was seeing.
Edited by LordVatek on Sep 24th 2018 at 2:52:55 PM
This song needs more love.CS4: I don't know. There's a scene about halfway into the game where Bleublanc, Vita, Schera and Olivert help the party, but I wasn't paying much attention when it happened.

Just to be clear, by “reload” do you mean a New Game Plus, or just reloading the save somehow?
Oh God! Natural light! All these CSIV spoilers kill my soul since I need to wait for the localization
Reload as in it prompts you to open your last save right before the point of no return.

Ah, okay, good.
Anyway, I was wondering - anyone know who sits on the Emperor's throne by the end?
Oh God! Natural light!
CSIV's OP.
People were complaining about it on reddit, but I think it's a pretty big step up from the last one.
Kinda busy studying for college midterms so I can't write in detail why I feel like that, but anyway, there it is.
