Olaf's head proportions in that menu suddenly remind me of the Grinch. Cannot unsee...

They still make those menus.

Anyway, Frozen goes digital today! Hooray!

They did this same thing with Wreck It Ralph too! I expect this is the norm for Disney now? Anyway, I don't like Frozen enough to get this immediately.

Whoa.

In one of the activity books, Hans is referred to as a naval officer... like an admiral?

Also, it's amazing how different the music ends up sounding when used in this context.

I'm imagining that she had a very particular look on her face. The kind where you don't know whether you should be turned on or scared out of your mind.

That was cool, but cliche. The version they went with is far superior, IMHO. BTW- there is a track on the deluxe soundtrack of an earlier version of Elsa and Anna having the argument that results in Anna's heart being frozen. Apparently, at that time, the two sisters were supposed to be intensely jealous of each other, and although their duet starts out friendly and cooperative, as soon as Anna suggests that Else put the gloves back on, and return home, it's over.

I would have liked to see a little of this Elsa in the final film, perhaps in the form of having her newfound freedom temporarily go to her head. That's one reason I prefer Anna as a character; Elsa's just not as interesting because she isn't really flawed.

Elsa's flaws make the plot happen.

I feel like Elsa's flaws were more or less imposed on her by the plot. She doesn't seem to have any problems with her powers before the trolls freak her out. Anna's flaws (naivety, rashness, etc.) felt more natural, like they would have been there even without the separation of the sisters.

Just based on that audio, I kinda want to see evil Elsa now. [lol]

Maybe in some alternate universe or whatever, film Elsa will have to fight her evil counterpart.

The Elsa in the final film was actually damn great, but she didn't get enough screen time. I would've liked to see more of her inner turmoil.

EDIT: evil Elsa's deleted scene...

Hey, my apologies if this already up, but I found this surprisingly enjoyable. The Tribal chanting actually kinda works IMO. The kid is good too, if a little too "I WANNA BE A POP SINGER"

[up][up] The overall feel of that video makes me think The Lion King meets Frozen.

Was this already posted? I hope not. It amused me. Anna and Elsa's part is at 12:40.

Also, my girlfriend works at Disney World, and a few days ago she got to meet Anna and Elsa! They quite liked her new red 'do.

With the way those cosplayers acted, you think they would get better gigs.

I would define her treating her powers with such levity to be a flaw. I mean, she nearly kills her sister while screwing around with said powers. Then she became so scared of herself that it swung back the other way. Even with the trolls' meddling, she saw herself as a danger to everyone around her. Her fear and self-confidence issues are the very reason she can't move forward. She's stuck, frozen as that frightened child for whom the face of her powers is the limp, dying body of her little sister.
