Hmm... a good start, somewhere discrete and with plenty of space... materials could be an issue, though.

That's right... We may have to cannibalize some of the appliances in this building for parts. Perhaps an inconvenience to some, but it's for science, so it's completely justified!

(Is already scrounging around for tools like some kinda... tool.)

-A very tall and well-built man walked along the sidewalk. He was dressed in a well-worn suit of armor, with a map in one hand, and a helmet tucked snugly under the arm to which the other hand was attached. A Wholly Unremarkable Sword hung from his hip in its scabbard.-

-He eyed the map in his hand with a great deal of confusion, scratching his red-haired head.-

The people here are not too attached to the specifics of its decor, nor its electronics. I'm sure we can procure what we need without complaint.

"Oh, thank goodness for that, nyehehe... Why even- go on on an empty stomach?"

Gotta get your calories up to survive all the deathly danger and stuff.

Man, though, it's been ages since I just sat down and had fun.

-Otto and Membrane may feel someone gazing at them from the corner of the room, in the shadows.-

-...Also, you might hear a snapshot noise... and see the flash of a camera.-

"Boy, do I emphasize... Work work work work work, higher education's busy..."

Wonderful! Then the gathering of electronics will commen—!

(Peers down at the FLASH, recognizing it as a camera after a moment.)

...Ah! Is that you, Nemo?

-It makes that flash! That flash that apparently isn't magic, but still makes him think of magic!-

-He then looks towards Otto, blank look in his eyes...-

"My name is Nemo..."

-He... is still standing in the shadows, by the way.-

Ah yes! This is the, uh— possible third child I mentioned, Doctor. And Nemo, this is my fellow scientist and very fond acquaintance, Dr. Otto Öktem.

(Does the "look at 'im!" arm gesture between Nemo and Otto, clearly delighted to be in the presence of both.)

-He blankly stares, perhaps seeming a little confused, but then he looks back to Otto.-

"You're a friend of Professor Membrane's...?"

"What's a 'photographer'...?"

-...! Oh, wait...-

"It involves the 'camera'...?"

-Poor kid just really doesn't know about this type of thing... The Isles had nothing like this!-

Yes, very good, a "photographer" is someone who takes "photographs" using a camera, like yours! And... Uh—... In the context of my other two children, is what I meant. I hope this doesn't come as a surprise, but well... since you're an orphan, and uh... the people looking for you are horrible—!... I was... toying with the idea of maybe adopting you or at the very least being a foster parent until a willing and qualified party decided to provide you with a permanent home...?

If there is one thing I can't abide about this place, beyond how nonsense it is generally, it is the amount of danger it places minors in.
