So why did anyone even believe that the person wearing that shirt was a Valve employee?
Yes, too much on their plate for four years to make a five hour long game that uses a previous game's engine.
Half Life 2: Episode 3 isn't coming out.
Blind hope?

@Gilded:
Somebody forgot that, after Episode 2 came out, Valve released one or two more versions of the Source Engine. The Portal 2 engine is fairly recent, after all.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelIt's still the same engine though, just with some better textures now.
And a gel system, and a VPK system in place of GCFs, and a different mapping system that requires separate modding tools...

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelPortal2 was released in 2011. I severely doubt Valve was thinking about the uses for its engine in Half Life 2: Episode 3 back in 2007.
Just let it go. There is no sales benefit to releasing Episode 3 now, soon, or any time.

I was saying that Valve can't fit in an appropriate time for HL3.
Hell, I think they even said that it wouldn't come in 2012.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelAt the very least the VGA's did give us some pretty fun tin-foil hat things to speculate about with regards to the wheatley video
- Coordinates he mentions are 1.1.1 WHICH EQUALS 3
- The text at the top of the video says
- lanthanum comes from the Greek λανθανω which means to "lie hidden"
- lanthanum the element has a half-life of 60,000 years
there, enjoy your box full of conspiracy (via the SPUF)
I'm sure Episode 3 would make copious use of that gel system.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Ah so there's our release date. Good job, Blitzer.
Fuck you Valve, you used to be cool.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. Now we just need to translate 60,000 years to Valve time...

I'm guessing 60,000 years in Valve time is 60,000 years diving into swimming pools filled with hundred dollar bills.
Hey guys, just remember that Duke Nukem Forever is a thing that happened. It may have spent about a decade rotting in Texas before being released, and it may have sucked horribly, but it happened. There's always hope that the title isn't abandoned. Besides, other titles have gone longer between sequels. Its not like Valve isn't doing anything, either. They're steadily pumping out games. Let them get around to it when they will. The longer it takes, the better their engine will be, anyway.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire1.1.1 also translates to 6 in binary.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Valve was working on HL 2 for years without a peep, save a report of them going to NYU to get info on the science of facial expressions.
Jonah FalconHL 2 went to development hell too, thanks to a smartass who liked to leak the game, lots of videos in youtube show how it was that Half Life 2
Also images of Half life with the ID 2 engine
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/Actually, I think Valve had already thrown away most, if not all of the leaked Beta by the time it was leaked or something, since the Beta contained most if not all of the stuff from when the game was in the Original Story phase.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelIt had some incomplete enemies and weapons thought, also the Beta version of City 17 and the earlier entrance to Ravenholm,
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/...And? Most of the weapons were thrown out, sections were incomplete simply because (again, they threw out the Original Story and incorporated bits of what they did make into the final product), and enemies weren't finalized and were thrown out for whatever reason (were not fun to fight, didn't work properly, both, or something else).

"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelSorry for necroing, but this just came up.
Fake or real? I don't know what to think.
Too good to be real....

Keep in mind, Valve is making another Counter Strike game and the sequel to Defense Of The Ancients, so they probably have enough on their plate as it is.
