Umm, can anyone estimate if this can get funding? I mean, Kickstarter project fundings slow down at some point and this is already slow...
Eh, there's plenty of time and between the slow but steady pace and the usual last 48 hour surge, it should make it.
Never thought an old adventure game franchise would have a comeback.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.Well, this game is pretty much funded now.
Don't count you chickens before they hatch.
Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them.Well, 10,000 more and 7 days time. Unless it miraculously stops, I don't see it not getting funded
I don't really like the Guide Dang It! puzzles (I only played the first game) but the biggest part for me was the Soft Club Russian translation that made the jokes work better.
If the translation ends up being portable on this remake, then I'm interested.
ERROR: Signature not loadedIt got the $500K. Now they want to raise $250K more in the last 5 days.
Setting ourselves a new goal of $750,000! so that we can add vastly more content and loads of incredible new features. Al, Josh, the Replay gang and Adventure Mob have a laundry list of bonus features, all aimed at adding length, breadth, and 500,000 new laughs to the original game. Some of the features we'd desperately love to add are: animated intro and cinematic cutscenes, maps, dialogues, more speech, foreign languages, Easter Eggs, minigames (in the LSL tradition: fun to play, easy to skip), new puzzles, new girls, new locations...and that's just the top of the list.
It WAS $1M, not 750K. heh
Jonah FalconI've been following the Kickstarter blog on this, because I donated so I could get my little slice of nostalgia. I'm very much looking forward to this, not because I'm a huge Larry fan, but simply for the kicks of playing the remake. And obviously I'm hoping that I get a decent softcore porn title, given how few of those there are.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I played the text adventure Softporn Adventure. :p
Jonah FalconSorry for the necro, but Larry Laffer is back... again, with a new hand-drawn adventure game, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Won't Dry.
Should retitle this thread to simply Leisure Suit Larry Series.
The thread has been retitled.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Is Al Lowe, series creator, even involved in this one?

Gotta say, so far media reception has been... abysmal. And yeah, in 2018 I'm not sure Leisure Suit Larry is a bright idea.
'Leisure Suit Larry' Fails to Read the Room, Back With New Game
Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry Could be the Most Offensive Game of 2018
The funny thing is that "fish-out-of-water tale about learning not to be such a greasy douchebag" is what the series was originally about, and a lot of the humor was at Larry's expense. There was always this sense, at least in the early games, that Larry just wants to settle down but he screws himself over. It can work with the right hands, but from what I remembered Al Lowe was done with the company that remade the first one. And seeing how he's not mentioned, probably not here either.

I bought the first one for Amiga, so I have some interest.

Working on cleaning up List of Shows That Need SummaryWell Leisure Suit Larry is making fun of douchebags so I don't see the problem. Some of it hasn't aged well but all of Larry's problems are do to being a sexist manchild who can't talk to a woman.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. Is the game even a fun porno game?
The games don't have any actual sex that's not fade to black.
They're just dirty jokes and not really even that dirty.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.Wow, that sounds really boring
They're silly point and clicks where the jokes are usually aimed at innuendo or how much of a goober Larry is.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaire
Well, not it has reached 40%(200,000) and new video.
Still kind of sad considering other old games got their funding so quickly =/ I guess Larry games have bad PR because of last two ones... Anyway, I just hope they get money over the goal because I hope they can make remake even better.
