I kind of agree with him on High Hopes, but I think it's bouncy in a year that needed bounce and I do love Urie's voice.
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.I agree that High Hopes is kind of generic by Panic at the Disco standards, but that didn't stop me from listening to it a bunch in my spare time. It's bouncy and upbeat, and my god, does this year need boucy and upbeat.
I do agree with his sentiments about Lovelytheband's hit, though. I could see myself really enjoying the song if it wasn't so blatantly obviously ripping off various indie hits of past few years.
Hello, after finally catching up on the thread I'm going to be joining the conversation. Does anyone feel like Todd doesn't want to these lists anymore?

Even his regular pop song reviews as of late have been pretty cynical. Maybe he'd be better off just doing OHW and Trainwreckords and only doing the pop song reviews if it's a song he has strong feelings about, since I get the feeling he enjoys those more.
Yeah; the current mediocrity of pop music seems to really bum him out.
He didn't seem to be enjoying himself with the Worst list, but that's been a trend for the past few years. I think I'll wait for his Best list to see how he feels then.
Weird, Lil Baby's "peek at you/pikachu" line is one I'm pretty sure the Rap Critic took a shot at like… 3 or 4 years ago. It may or may not be the same rapper.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.Pretty sure RC's Pikachu criticism was aimed at Young Thug, who's another Atlanta-based trap rapper. Lil Baby has been widely accused of being a less interesting ripoff of Young Thug, so it only makes sense the line would originate there.
"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliteratorI feel like the last Pop Song Review he had any passion for was probably Freaky Friday. *slightly off topic* I checked his twitter after the Worst list, and he said Freaky Friday would have been #1 if it wasn't for the production.
Best list is up for patrons, us plebians will have to wait for another 11 hours or so.
Judging by the thumbnail there's going to be a significant Ariana Grande presence here, and rightfully so. She was one of the few mostly consistent bright spots in this slog of a year.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard Playthrough(I just want Ariana Grande to be happy this year, what a mess for her last time)
I assume Miley Cyrus's new song will be on there too, as he mentioned it being good in the worst one. I really like it. Aside from her voice, the production has that gorgeous smoky bar disco feel.
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.I’m surprised Shallow didn’t make it.
You really should subscribe to Todd’s Patreon; you can do just $2 per video and see the list now.
I love Todd, but sadly I don't have the money. Disabled and trying to save to relocate. I can wait!
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.Well, you'll only have to wait, like, a week.
A particular webcomic I was following set the non-Patreon delay to a full YEAR. That seems a bit much.
Optimism is a duty.He only makes everyone wait 24 hours. I just like to recommend people support him if they can
I decided to bite.
#1 is absolutely deserved. There was really no other song this year that spoke to me on such an emotional level. Also it has a sick synth solo which I appreciate since it's becoming increasingly rare to hear in the pop world.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughSo...this is probably my favorite top ten list that he's ever done. I genuinely like/love every single song on the top 10. The #1 pick was so unexpected even though I knew who the artist would be, but I totally get why he picked it. I'm also really happy about all of the R&B picks between Finesse, Boo'd Up, and Love Lies. It was hard to hear about his anxiety and mental health struggles, though, coming from someone who heavily relates.

Todd being so bitter about being a Drake fan XD
I'm A Pervert not an Asshole!I mean... haven't you seen the latest news about the guy??
His list also reminded me that "Mooo!" came out in 2018. Holy shit it's been a long year.

I've been marathoning Todd's Top 10 lists these last few days (including some of the retro ones) and I came to the conclusion that… I kinda like this guy. It's exactly my type of humor: dry, self-deprecating and sarcastic yet brutally honest at the same time.
Not sure why he hates so much on Afternoon Delight in his 1976 list though… It's not a great song, but it's not ear-bleedingly awful either. Just kinda meh.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. He reminds me most of Bo Burnham idk why tho.
I don't listen to Top 40 at all because there are no local stations that play it, so everything was unfamiliar.
I'm surprised he said that "High Horse" by Kacey Musgraves was the only country crossover that he liked. From this, he's implying that he didn't like Thomas Rhett's "Marry Me", which seems to be the one country crossover this year that everyone else agreed on.
Oh! Forgot to mention, I bet there will be at least 1 song from A Star Is Born.
