Or as many has pointed out: people who are hungry and are scared of losing the only way of eating they had.
This country is a joke.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Worth poiting out that some of those fanatics are old people (60 years +), that only follow Maduro becuase they are afraid of disrespecting Chavez' memory.
I'd know. I've talked with some of them.
So they respect Chavez so much they follow a guy who claimed Chavez is a bird who sings his praises?
Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's not so much follow as: 'With Chavez there was hope. With Maduro there is hunger. But we have come too far to go back'.

Yeap, one coworker of mine curse chavez for dying and leaving us with maduro, it was pretty much like this
worker: why he have to die!?
Me:....you know he have cancer right? are you going to blame him for that?
Worker: yes!?
It was....hilarious.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Apparently Jaime Bayly (a well-known Peruvian journalist) and Rafael Poleo (an exiled Venezuelan journalist) got into a heated discussion even both of them claimed to be against Maduro and his lackies. Gotta love little things like that. I've seen the video... and it pretty much borders on satire.

So according to Aporrea, even if a Venezuelan oppositor is chosen as president, he will still be controlled by the constituent.
Well, at least they are being honest, right?

Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem. If the opposition wins (one can still dream, right?), it's not like they'll be recognized by the international community.
About the elections, well, I was extremely frustrated about the murder of Oscar Perez and just wanted to make the reds pay but right now, I see the opposition as too divided like for them to take more radical measures and there is still a lot of Venezuelans who believe the government can go down peacefully...
We will probably have to wait until the elections for something like 2014's and 2017's events to repeat themselves.
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.Marco Rubio said something interesting today.
Man, finally a politician that is making some sense!
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem. You’re aware that he’s lying right? No support would come, there would be no help, especially not from the US. Not unless Trump tried to have the CIA install a military dictatorship that answered to the US.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranMeh, I was referring more to the fact that if a coup happens from our own side, then having other countries support the hopefully good new government would help a lot.
Even Venezuelan politicians avoid talking about the military like the plague. But they are obviously our only hope so yeah, Rubio saying something like that makes me feel better.
Oh, speaking about that, I forgot to mention that Europe increased sanctions against military and politicians related to the Venezuelan government. The US and Europe are thinking about further sanctioning PDVSA if things don't improve too, so a full blown US embargo is possible.
I think the international community is putting pressure on Maduro because of the elections. Everyone is cynical about them, but over here a lot of Venezuelans still think we can get out of the reds through non-violence...

Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.I really hope Maduro can be removed without violence too. Who is there left to vote for? Like, anyone who isn't Maduro or a Maduro loyalist. Or is it worth rallying to force the government to re-allow Capriles or Lopez to participate?
There is a lot of propaganda to make Lorenzo Mendoza the new president from both sides (you know the Venezuelan guy who owns Polar corporation) but I'm cynical about the communists being willing to hand out the government even if he or someone else completely wrecks them in terms of votes.
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.I just spoke with a friend of mine today. He basically said that this country has turned into a Bad vs Worse scenario. I can't say I disagree with him.
Meh, the worse is so much worse than the bad that in practice it's no different than a good vs. bad situation.
Regardless, I've been having a very hard time keeping my hopes up about... everything. How do you people avoid getting dismayed?
And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!My family and I are poor. We have always been. My grandmother, who was alive during Gomez's time, spent several days without eating nothing but onion soup during her childhood. Things were always this rough for her. She has no love for the government nor the opposition. 'Pendejos', she calls them. She says that Maduro looks like a pig and mocks the people, and that Julio Borges surely is spending the carnivals somewhere outside the country, not caring a sh+t about her.
By holding on to the idea of one day fixing things myself.
Students protested today in honor of the other students that were killed by the government.
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.Well, recently a lot of things have changed. There was a lot of propaganda recently about making Lorenzo Mendoza the new president and I kind of accepted the idea of going to vote but Popular Will and the other opposition parties decided not to go to the elections and are now going to fight for the conditions with the international community. The guys of popular will even called out the military to follow the constitution and help Venezuelans.
About recent protests:
CNE workers protested for a raise of salary today.
Patients protested because of the medical crisis.
PDVSA workers protested for the sake of getting better salaries today too.
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.Anyone read the article saying the US has banned transactions using Venezuela's new cryptocurrency? Link to the article
Is this "petro" actually legit at all? Or is it just Maduro trying to scam people out of their money in a desperate bid to fund his regime?
edited 19th Mar '18 1:42:32 PM by danime91
It's legit in the sense that yeah, the government is seeking to implement it so that shops can actually take the crypto, but trust me just like everything this satanic government does, It's doomed to fail.
About recent events, I was somewhat glad that there was something of a front that was being made with the civil society and nearly all political sides that opposed the government, but I've kind of become paranoid recently because a lot of the Chavist politicians that joined the group were part of the coup attempts against Carlos Andres back in the 92 which were led by Chavez. I think they may be seeking to give the government more time by asking for electoral conditions instead of just focusing on getting rid of Maduro, just like last time with the revocatory and the dialogue.
Also, yes guys, we made fun of it many times over here, but It's official! The government just said that they will get rid of the three zeros of the bolivar again. Personally I think the new one will be called the Bolivar Hulk!
I won't complain about the uselessness of the government to control the crisis because they are insane communists that are 100% trying to kill us and drive us insane.

Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem. The government is really silent about it and we aren't really sure if that's the total death count.
It's getting harder and harder to keep up the rhythm. Everyday is a struggle...
Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem.I've been finding it harder and harder to keep on going, too. Whatever "keep on going" means.
And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!
no, the one who notes already switch to anti chavismo, leaving the party with: a) oportunist who dosent give a shit b)fanatics who still belive the party line and c) indiferent or to needy for the party hand to survive.
