"I'd like to see that," Arianna smiled, amused at the notion of a skunk-drunk Shinji.
Skunk-drunk?! God damn, I am really out of it today. She sighed, feeling almost ready to scream in frustration (but that's for private, not here, darling), and wiped the ink from her eyelids, turning to Kyung.
"Give me a time and a place and I'll consider," she said carefully, because she usually got "drunk as a skunk" after missions like these. Then again, it wasn't like she had much time to go out drinking anyway.
Hey. The thinking would come after she screamed her lungs out under a doona.
When I walk on the street counting my steps, magic keeps silent and reality stalks me.Voerman emerged from the shower, a white towel draped around his hips, water dripping from all over. "'Scuse me, did someone say drinks?", the pilot said.
When it came to beer'n'weed, Voerman and Marie were Initiative legends. Nobody had seen either fully sober in years.

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it."She did," Arianna said quickly, pointing at Kyung. Arianna, however, had seen a drinking Voerman before (terrifyingly hilarious stuff) and now she could say she had seen a half-naked Voerman as well.
Also terrifyingly hilarious.
"You know constant drinking is supposed to be hazardous to your health, Olaf," she said, still with an amused smirk on her face.
When I walk on the street counting my steps, magic keeps silent and reality stalks me.Olaf shrugged gracefully: "So is gettin' shot at... 'N we do it all the time, don't we?", he said.
You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it."But we get paid to be shot at, while we pay for alcohol poisoning," Arianna insisted, smiling, "Or at least you pay for alcohol poisoning."
When I walk on the street counting my steps, magic keeps silent and reality stalks me.Mike went back to greet the others with Shinji acknowledging him by bowing slightly towards him.
Voerman chuckled: "I've got no kids, a chopper, no expenses to speak of and an eighty grand salary: Gotta blow cash on sumthin'.", he said. He nonchalantly dropped the towel and slipped into his boxers and put his pants on.
You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.Arianna honestly winced as the towel dropped (now she could say she had seen a fully naked Voerman- not that he would care, anyway) and turned away as he pulled up his boxers, "How about life insurance? Or cash it all into a bank for your retirement so when you're older-" she realised how stupid she sounded and rolled her eyes, "Or on hookers, then- at least you won't die of damned alcohol poisoning."
She turned to Shinji and Mike, "You coming?" she asked, curious.
When I walk on the street counting my steps, magic keeps silent and reality stalks me."Yeah maybe..." Mike said. "I need to eat something."
He then placed Shinji in a headlock. "You come too, Mr. PSIA agent. You need to eat."
Shinji only squirmed underneath Mike's left armpit.
Voerman heartily laughed. "Not convinced: Marie'd get really ticked off if I blew my pay on hookers... And Hell hath no fury like a girlfriend with a machinegun.", he said, shrugging. He put the glasses under the tap for a while, to get'em back in see-through condition.
He was thinking: Disposable income really was going to kill'em. They were young, childless, making American wages in Thor-forsaken Vietnam of all places. They had everything it made sense to have: They couldnt't go to fancy 5-day music festivals, 'cause there weren't any around Vietnam. They were seaborne, unable to run side biz. They had weapons, gaming laptops, an XBOX 360, a 7-seater SUV, a cruiser bike... They planned to retire in Mozambique of all places, something that could be comfortably achieved with thirty grand. Truth be told, there wasn't much room for conspicuous consumption in their lives except for vice.
He'd have to find some project to blow money on real quick. Then it hit'im: He'd save up for a Cessna seaplane. He'd need a plane to fly in, after going back to civilian life. All non-merc fliers drug tested: He'd need his own plane. Voerman grinned, smiling at Ari. "Ever told ya you're brilliant?", he asked her.

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.Arianna smiled at the compliment, "A kingpin to con me into a mission, but thank you nonetheless. I guess that means you're still coming though," she cocked her head in amusement at Shinji squirming under Mike's arm, grinning wider, "And yes, you are coming, Shinji. I need to see something funny before I die in the next mission. I'll even ply you with alcohol myself," she sneaked a sheepish glance at Voerman, "Ah- not the the point of alcohol poisoning, of course."
She fiercely avoided looking at Olaf's expression after that.

When I walk on the street counting my steps, magic keeps silent and reality stalks me."No thank you Arianna-san."
Shinji said while his head was rubbed at with Mike's knuckles.
"Eating for dinner will do."
"I'm sorry, did that sound like a request?" Arianna smiled innocently at him, "It was meant to be an order."

When I walk on the street counting my steps, magic keeps silent and reality stalks me."No, no....!"
Mike sighed. "Aw come on you." After putting Shinji in a noogie, the Chinese-Irish slapped him at the back hard.
Kyung Ah had taken the opportunity to clean up after the mission while the rest of the kids were chatting. Just having the option of a clean shower, food to eat and the options of any recreational activity she wanted was something the North Korean would never take for granted. Once she'd cleansed her body of the dirt, grime and sweat that even her limited role in the mission had included, she made use of a laptop to make a call back home. While she was a tough woman in the field Kyung Ah was just another mom when talking to her kids, be they younger coworkers or actual family. Several minutes of animated conversation followed, but one daughter was at school and the other about to head out to a movie; the talk couldn't last as long as Kyung Ah would've liked. After goodbyes she grabbed a snack from her personal stash and headed back to where the others still were. While she'd changed clothes, it was still pretty much the same thing she always wore; only now, her hair was down.
"Now play nice," she joked at seeing the noogie, then asked a general open question "So how much down time do you think we'll have?"
Avatar from: http://x0whitelily0x.livejournal.com/5953.html N: 5 F, 0/40 SBrianna emerged from one of the showers, draped in a bathrobe. She looked at the guys, without knowing what to say at all. She loathed being the new squadmate. She decided to tease Mike a bit. "How come you left the Rangers, Dublinese... Did the provos scare you off?", she said, grinning wryly.
Voerman looked at Ari and Shinji and shrugged: It normally took a few months for folks from different sides of a civil war to get along as mercs... He was glad they were jokin' about it... Instead of coming to blows.

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it."I don't really know why I left the Fianoglach anymore." Mike scratched his head. "You could say that I'm trying different things now..."
"A-no..." Shinji meekly asked. "Can we eat now? My stomach's about to have a coup any second now..."
"I don't drink so well..." Shinji said, feeling embarassed.
