Can someone from America confirm this for me?

There is something Mario Kart 7 related in the Eshop, and it's showing Bowser's Castle 1 from the GBA as well as other things.

I wouldn't know. Don't have a 3DS.

There's a screenshot that kinda looks like the Super Circuit version of Bowser Castle, judging by both the scenery and the map at the bottom, but it's completely redone in the style of MK 7 graphics-wise, so I can't be sure.

So, Retro Courses and most likely cups that they are in for the moment:

• SNES Mario Circuit 2 (Mushroom Cup 5th Track, Shell/Banana Cup)
• N64 Luigi Raceway (Mushroom Cup 1st Track, Shell Cup)
• N64 Kalamari Desert (Mushroom Cup 4th Track, Banana Cup)
• GBA Bowser's Castle 1 (Mushroom Cup 4th Track, Shell/Banana Cup)
• NDS Luigi's Mansion (Mushroom Cup 4th Track, Shell Cup)
• NDS Waluigi Pinball (Flower Cup 3rd Track, Banana/Leaf Cup)

• NDS Airship Fortress (Star Cup 4th Track, Lightning Cup)

I think either GBA Bowser's Castle or SNES Mario Circuit 2 will be the last or next to last track in Shell Cup. The other will be in the Banana Cup as the first track.

Waluigi Pinball or DK Pass will end up as last track of Banana Cup. The other is a track in Leaf Cup.

Depending on the Wii courses, Maple Treeway will end up in either Leaf Cup or Lightning Cup.

Game Cube tracks will be in Leaf and Lightning Cup.

I agree. It'd be nice to turn off Lightning, Blue Shells, and some other troublesome items every once in a while.

Mushroom Cup:

Obligatory standard circuit, has a bunch of Toad floats; Village with windmills, reminds me of Bianco Hills; That beach course from the E3 build; An Arabian-looking desert city

Shell Cup:

64 Luigi Raceway, GBA Bowser Castle 1, Wii Mushroom Gorge, DS Luigi's Mansion

New Characters:

Metal Mario, Lakitu, Two more character slots shown

Returning Characters:

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, DK, Toad, Koopa, Daisy, Wario, Rosalina, Shy Guy, Mii

There aren't any more character slots shown for returning characters, which may mean that no other characters will return.

Mixed feelings about this. On one hand, no babies! On the other hand, I would have preferred if they had gotten rid of Daisy instead of Diddy Kong or Waluigi.

I wouldn't count Waluigi out just yet. Also, one of those ? marks must be Shy Guy!

EDIT: Never mind, Shy Guy is listed as a returning character... strange as it is...

So, Wii Mushroom Gorge is in! That's fine! It was a mildly expected track anyways.

3DS Shell Cup

Also, it seems that we will get N64 Koopa Beach as well! That throws a monkey wrench in my theory.

Those jars on the Arabian course... So it must be Shy Guy's track!

GCN Dino Jungle and Wii Koopa Cape are in as well, according to the Wiki!

Only three courses left to announce. I supect two of them will be GCN courses and the last will be a Wii course!

Also, Luigi is NOT going to get a Mushroom Cup Course?

At least the 1st Place racer isn't the only one who can be screwed by this incarnation!

... All I can say to that, is OH FUCK! At least it's less of a FUCK YOU to the 1st place player since it hits everyone else too.

Also the fact that the Blue Shell in Mario Kart 64 DID launch you up in the air (with a complete halt in horizontal movement)... But so did the Red Shells as well... =<

Still better than the aerial version.

Also, Bowser's Castle may have both an inside and an outside area, inside it looks like any Bowser's Castle, while outside it looks like the futuristic Bowser track that we've known by now.

Now, confirm a Luigi course for either Star Cup or Special Cup and I will be happy!

Luigi is the King, but where is Mr. L is the only one cooler then Luigi. And before you get on that whole Mr. L is Luigi thing metal Mario is also playable.

For some reason, it seems unlikely that characters from the Paper Mario titles will get in. I'd be happy to see Mr. L/Dimentio/Doopliss/etc. but the chances seem slim somehow.

Except Mr.L is nothing but a costume change for Luigi. Metal Mario is an actual transformation, and he's heavier than the real Mario, which would have bearing on the kart stats. Having Mr.L would add nothing to the game.

Oh heck yes! I'd love for him to be in! Alas, the world of the RPGs are separate from the platform games.
