I hope that Raptors with guns and body armour will still be a part of it.

I love Jurassic Park, so I'm totally looking forward to this, Spielberg or no Spielberg. I mean, Joe Johnston is good too. Jurassic Park III was fine by me, and Captain America The First Avenger (which I saw this morning) rocked my socks.

I hope they update the science, though. Let's see some feathers on those raptors.

They did that in III, and look how well that went. Their scarier without feathers

The raptors in III had a few strands of hair. An updated version would have many more feathers.

"I hope they update the science, though. Let's see some feathers on those raptors."

That's kinda depressing actually. Way I see it, the only way for the dinosaurs to have more up-to-date looks rather then what Hammond produced for his park is if someone else went back and tried to recreate the creatures again.

And that's Reason #23 we needed a reboot more than a sequel.

I didn't like Jurassic Park 3 much. Good story, just not executed well. And the film felt very rushed. The CGI effects in that movie weren't very good. If the effects are as good as they looked in the first film (which they probably won't as I've always felt CGI effects have gotten worse with each year), and we have a good story, and is well planned out, then it might be good.

That's not a hard feat to accomplish if you get proper budget and Spielberg.

hehe, I'm the only guy who liked Jurrasic Park 3. I liked it better than Lost World at any rate.

Not that i'll argue with anyone (you're probably right, I'm just a fan of crap films) but why does everyone hate JP 3?

I'm guessing because Spielberg didn't direct it.

Meanwhile, Jurassic Park III should get a pass solely because they returned to basics and didn't feature the ridiculous concept of dinosaurs destroying San Diego.

[up] and? They weren't all feathered. In fact the Raptor cummunication aspect of JP 3 was what I found most intriguing about that film

The dream sequence relating to it on the other hand... *shudder*

At first I didn't realize I needed all this stuff...

I have no problem with feathered raptors. I just found JP3 to be boring, predictable and uncreative.

It's been too long since I saw Lost World to tell which of the sequels I would like least with my modern tastes, but I remember I liked Lost World as a kid. My dad loves it because he's a huge fan of Jeff Goldblum.

[up][up] It was a DREAM SEQUENCE! That Raptor said one goddamn line, it wasn't like it got up and started breakdancing

Actually, the probably filmed it getting up and break-dancing, but decided to cut it for time constraints.

I like 3 better than The Lost World. At least only one of the 3's protagonists was stupid.

I remember seeing an announcement for this way back when. It was intended to come out in the same year as the fourth Indiana Jones. That might be a bad omen.

I liked a lot of JP 3, I just really hate the ending. The rest of it is pretty damn good, much better than Lost World. I still like parts of LW though but it's the weakest of the three.

I'm excited about this. I'm hopeful for a thoughtful, somewhat darker piece but I'll settle for a well done creature feature.
