Yup. Apocolymon 100% lacked agency in being evil. And then Meicoomon had to die because she had junk data from Apocolymon in her code. Sucks.

Haven't the seven demon lords been used at least once a season?

I think Barbamon only ever appeared in the manga/games.

6 out of 7 aint' bad though.

Leviathan in Appmon pretty much fit the last Demon Lord that hadn't been used - Leviamon.

Unlike in Xros Wars where he was just a digital ghost like all his fellow heroic digimon that became chips.

Though regardless Leviamon is in Xros Wars either way. Not fully utilized, but there.

But yeah, Barbamon seems to be it. We got Lucemon(twice), Daemon, Beelzemon(twice, though the second version is like Greymon and Metal Greymon, unique versions of the species. The Tamers Beelzemon is based upon the regular version instead), Lilithmon(well, Laylamon in the dub), Leviamon(twice as noted above), and Belphemon(both Modes). Maybe someday we'll get the last one.

I remember in Tri that they were introduced having just gotten thrashed by Alphamon, but as I haven't seen the movies I'm not sure what role they play afterwards.

They were being kept in comas in lab in the Digital World mostly likely to keep them away from getting 14 Digidestined. Its a shame it took the heroes until part 3 to do something and part 6 for Taichi and Daigo to find them offscreen. I guess someone in the writers room rally hated 02. Then again from a writing standpoint, Yolei and Ken are pretty smart so they could have helped Izzy figure out the plot by part 2 if they were still active but that is an argument for another day.

Appmon is great. Funny how Tri and Appmon went from the hyped and least hype to reversing statuses by the end of their tenure.

I hope to see more regular X-Antibodies for lines in general. Greymon(Blue) X, Agumon(Black X) are still missing to complete that. And so on. Like, only Renamon and Sakuyamon have X forms at the moment. Would be great to see Kyubimon and Taomon do the same. ...Though they probably could just have the Silver versions, Youkomon, and Doumon have quick palette swaps too. Just needs a bit of recoloring for the most part.

I just wish we could see X-antibody Digimon animated outside of X Evolution. I genuinely believed that was going to be the turn in Tri when the black X flashed on Mei's digivice.

We have; Gaioumon was in Xros Wars/Fusion. Same with Grandis Kuwagamon. And Grademon.

Some others appear in the Hunters Who Leapt Through Time, like Dracumon. And Volcdramon.

Metal Phantomon also was in Savers/Data Squad.

It's not much, though. Only a few that are already X-Antibodies as is show up. Let me see if I can find a bigger list(maybe, I listed a decent amount already). Well, Alphamon obviously too, who shows up in some of Tri.

Now the question is when we'll see X-Antibodies be relevant to the plot itself in another anime. Or for that matter, X-Antibody evolution animations in general in the other anime. Those are pretty much only the X-Anime adaptions(and well, various games). ...Technically some Manga too? I mean, if you count panels of transformations. :P

Sorry if I posted any old X Digimon. Bandai has been revealing the profiles for both old and new ones for a while. I think I may have missed a few. These all look interesting. I believe I liked Rizegreymon X the most put of this batch.

Wizardmon X is a winner for me. Then again, the entire Impmon X line is kinda solid gold.

Oh hey. With both Angewomon and Ophanimon X, the entire Tailmon/Gatomon line is complete for X digimon.

That's pretty cool.

Also, Ophanimon's wheel, and the ridiculous number of wings on both, take a bit more from their actual descriptions.

I still wish some digimon's designs would calm the fuck down, but some are nice. Pegasusmon's cool. Justimon took inspiration from Iron Man. I'd believe you if you told me Monzaemon digivolved into Cherubimon. Ogremon's gonna rock out with your guts out, and Myotismon's going to a classy Italian rave, like in John Wick 2.

Also, looks like Myotismon has just straight up abandoned his arms in favor of his Grisly Wings.

Monzaemon having slime-like elements into its design is great.

Myostismon X is a really interesting design choice- see, that humanoid body is just a decoy. The real body is the cape.

Wonder if Digimon Survive will feature any of these.

No. It's been quiet for a long while now.

Actually, yeah, I see it now. His main body more resembles a bat. The thing I thought was a fancy collar is his actual eyes, and the space under it, where his suit/tux opens up, could be his true mouth.

, They did reveal in Famitsu last month that there's a shrine for a "Beast God" where human sacrifices used to be held, which the protagonists visit before getting dumped into the world of Digimon.

Given the prior reveal that Xuanwumon is a voiced character in some capacity, people are speculating that the shrine is for the Four Holy Beasts.
