Well, MLP is getting a third season already.
So by that logic, this won't be turned into a show for at least 2 more years!
There is nothing new under the sun
Agreed, besides something tell me she might be working on this right now.
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love. The tongue avatar indicates playful ribbing. It was a joke.
I for one think that was a typo on that one article mentioning a "third season". Its far too early for them to be working on a third one if they aren't even done with the second season yet.
Also, officially speaking Lauren isn't working on any show at the moment. She's said she's done all her work for MLP and won't be coming back for a possible 3rd season. She's working on something though. If all goes well, we'll hear about it in November, apparently.
...Good lord I feel like a stalker, going through Lauren Faust's DA comments...
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Sorry
I am very excited to know too. you aren't being a stalker don't worry it's normal trying to follow a person you admire

Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them. You hear networks picking up a new season of a show that barely started the previous one LOADS of times!
She is still credited as the creative consultant, so while she's not working on it as much as before, the studio still communicates with her on occasion- they should still be working on the last episodes of Season Two at this point, I would think!

I believe the Galaxy Girls live on planets named after the namers of the real-life planets they're based on. Except for Moon, Sun and Milky, who would live on Luna, Sol and Terra respectively. That blog is probably just a 4th wall mailslot.
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail. That actually brings up a thought... is there no Earth/Terra Galaxy Girl? Most of the blogs and the Twitter are tagged as "Mother Earth", but I assume that's an alias for Lauren Faust to promote the dolls and stuff.
Anyways, going through some of Lauren's older drawings on DA is kinda fun. Here's a sketch she did in 2006 about a certain subject. Also some charaters that haven't been made into dolls yet.
Milky Way's little sister Andromeda
Pluto's band mates Eris and Ceres.

You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Nice job! Pluto is officially my favorite galaxy girl
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love. So, is this what Lauren is going to do now that she's off of the ponies?
Maybe. Maybe not. Nevertheless, I see a lot of potential in this series. Lauren Faust said she wanted to make a sci-fi series with a fantasy twist, and I'm getting Nanoha vibes just from thinking about that.
A good writer puts in a lot of details in there story. But a great one gets a story from a single detail.I hope she does something now that she's off of the Ponies! As long as it's not something that's shit like Fish Hooks... I feel sorry for the people with actual talent responsible for that commitee-driven shit everyday.

This is where I, the Vampire Mistress, proudly reside: http://liberal.nationstates.net/nation=nova_nacioShe's alluded to wanting to make Galaxy Girls a cartoon before, and Friendship Is Magic got started because she was pitching a "micro-series pop opera" based on Galaxy Girls to Hasbro. I want to say I saw a comment on one of her old sketches that a cartoon had been in development twice, but I don't feel like digging through her DA comments again to make sure :P
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!She even says that exact same thing in the interview she held with Equestria Daily the day before the Season Two premiere, so you are correct.
I don't think she can do it just yet, but she deserves to anyway...
This is where I, the Vampire Mistress, proudly reside: http://liberal.nationstates.net/nation=nova_nacioI have a feeling that we might get a show of the galaxy girls, but give it time. You know it doesn't take 3 days just to produce a tv show right? I have a hunch that Lauren wants to do a few things before doing Galaxy girls.
Also, what Lauren is hinting with November makes me curious. So many questions to what it can be. Tv show, contract for a feature length animated feature, or something out of the blue? Might as well wait and see!
Damn straight. And if you think I'm demanding a rushing of possible greatness here, stop thinking so, please!
I'm just afraid she won't get to make it, unless shes does something that requires independent funding - that way , no corporate can gt in her way. But that is really hard to pull off without something like Joe Murray did (A donation drive), especially in a country that doesn't really value animation, save for a niche audience like the US.
This is where I, the Vampire Mistress, proudly reside: http://liberal.nationstates.net/nation=nova_nacioGood animation costs money, if done cheaply you get something on the lines of Johnny Test.
If Lauren does a Kickstarter project for The galaxy girls, I have a big hunch that her pony fans(as well as Power Puff Girls and Foster fans) would help out. Although the only two kickstar projects that didn't work that were animation related were from Milton Knight and Dave Alaveraz(its not finished, but it looks like its heading to the point on not reaching its goal).
Good animation COSTS A LOT of money. But it needs talented and dedicated people at its side to be all worthwhile. It also needs those funding it to not get in the way, hence why I suggested the donation drive plan.
However, at this moment, in a bad-to-shit economy like this, it's going to be hard-pressing to get this made under the eye of someone in a corporatist position. Especially something creator-driven. Kickstarter may be her best option.
This is where I, the Vampire Mistress, proudly reside: http://liberal.nationstates.net/nation=nova_nacioI would donate money to her cause, her ponies really earned me
Make your hearth shine through the darkest night; let it transform hate into kindness, evil into justice, and loneliness into love.Anyone who is that dedicated a fan should. She does deserve it... Question is(and this includes myself)how much???
This is where I, the Vampire Mistress, proudly reside: http://liberal.nationstates.net/nation=nova_nacioAnimation artists, if you want to become a major player in the industry, need a life-long game plan, or a massive Xanatos Gambit. This is not only to gain recognition and experience, but to build your own skills as well-rounded artist and person. It gains you respect with executives. This also means you need to make sure you are actually alive and able to work by the time you're old enough to get your chance, so taking care if your body is also crucial!
And Kickstarter is over-rated. Most of the time, it doesn't work. I have no idea how Joe Murray did it, but then, I suppose it's no use questioning Joe Friggin Murray.

[up} Stuff like Kickstarter is only suggested if you really want to be independent so you don't have to be stopped by a corporate commitee when making something... Unique/Original. But it costs a fuckload!
Best for people to hopefully, take your advice, especially in the US, where the best cartoons ARE hard to come by. So are the opportunities to make one, like Faust is trying to do...
