Seriously, what happened there? I never bothered with subreddits like that, but the fact that Jon acknowledged it made me wonder.
Anyways, the episode was pretty on-point, though I felt that the first half was pretty hit-or-miss with its setup/jokes. Incidentally, my initial reaction was thinking that he had run out of ideas for a video by doing another Flex-Tape vid after such a long hiatus, but that was before I realized that his previous video before this wasn't the first Flex-Tape video, it was the one on VR Troopers. The original Flex Tape vid was memed so much that I thought he hadn't made any other videos beyond that.
Oh, I really dug the new opening he has as well. Only thing missing was Jacques, but I'm not surprised about that; Jon's already talked about how hard it was to work Jacques into the show after a certain point, after all.
