Oh, definitely, I don't see it coming up soon anyway. If how we want to adapt USUM ends up contradicting it, the idea can easily be scrapped.
Completely echo Swift, yeah. We'll see how it works out.

Contact Me!Granted how addicted to the series i am right now, I can't see the word Replicant and not think of Nie R.
Otherwise, the revised opt-in thing sounds kinda cool really
edited 8th Oct '17 11:34:53 AM by Skyzerk
Oh it was always gonna be opt in. But glad you like the idea. I will be making a Replicant character to test the waters so to say.
- Species: Porygon 1
- Nickname: John Doe. Aka. JD.
- Gender: Identifies Male
- Ability: Download
- Personality/Bio: JD is the first in line for the Replicant Project of Team Rossum, A Porygon run Android body serves as his "home" of sorts and he is generally seen as loyal. In truth JD questions the project's viability and success and has begun to question his status as a Porygon running a "meat suit" and where that leaves him, especially in service to Team Rossum.
Headshot of JD's android body◊.

I'm cool with JD
"life is just a series of increasingly canon-eluding ao3 tags" ~ everydunsparce "Keep your hellfruit away from me, tempter" ~ also EveryAnd because I just set up her involvement here's another character bio for someone relevant to the next arc or so.
Name: Jackie [PENDING]
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Ambiguous (currently)
Appearance: Darker skin, brown-ish hair tied in a very long, thick braided ponytail, green eyes, wears a blue coat with poofy bits
Organizational Ties: Pokemon biologist and geneticist, not tied to a specific organization (yet)
Region: Hoenn, works in Holon
Bio: Hey, didn't we see this lady in the Return To AU and Holon arcs? And in a cameo as Locke's girlfriend? Well she's back in style wondering where the hell said boyfriend went, headstrong as ever. Working with and fascinated by biology and genetics, she gravitates to Pokemon with unusual biological quirks, but no scientific knowledge can prepare her for the J-Team.
Pokemon:
Chiroptera: (Starter)
Species: Crobat
Gender: Female
Ability: Infiltrator
Bio: A cocky sort, and also a daredevil. Flops her stunts more often than not though.
Weatherman
Species: Castform
Gender: Male
Ability: Forecast
Bio: Thinks altering the weather is an art and he's a master of it. Everyone else, naturally, just thinks he's nuts.
Genesis
Species: Leafeon
Gender: Male
Ability: Leaf Guard
Bio: Naive, innocent, and always willing to lend a helping hand, Genesis is nevertheless cagey about his past and somemon named "Crabweed".
Rosetta
Species: Unown K
Gender: Unknown, slightly feminine
Ability: Levitate
Bio: Cryptic, mysterious, and somewhat aloof. May be trying to emulate Tagg's Xatu to variable success.
Thundersnail
Species: Accelgor
Gender: Female
Ability: Sticky Hold
Bio: Despite her name incredibly lazy. Is only really arsed to do much for food and battles.
Monstercat
Species: Alolan Meowth
Gender: Female
Ability: Technician
Bio: The newest member of Jackie's team, and usually lost in her headphones. What she can accomplish in that state is not to be underestimated.
Also, I should probably finally debut this lovely commission of Jackie by MousaThe14! Thoughts on all this?

Contact Me!Interesting.
"Dang that sure is totally poggers my good bitch"I've decided to introduce a new character for Unova Episode III: The Entralink Strikes Back!
- Name: Mason (Mononymous; did not take adoptive parents' surname)
- Age: 21
- Gender: Male
- Ethnicity (edit) Schoolkid Genetic Menagerie, at least partially [Ainu]
- Appearance: 6'0, black hair cut short and slicked back, dark purple eyes, preferred outfit usually consists of faded jeans and a dark blue coat
- Organizational Ties:
Unknown relative in Team IronThe School - Region: Northern Sinnoh
- Bio: A Dark Obscuric with a knack for illusions, Mason keeps quiet about his past before the age of 10. He ended up being raised by a middle-aged couple living in Snowpoint City, who remain the only people he has talked about what he remembers from his childhood. However, having received word that a relative of his may be in a suspicious organization that would later come to be known as Team Iron, Mason finally became a full-time Trainer to seek them out.
- Personality: Mason is rather sarcastic and cold at times, but tries his best not to let himself get too rude. It doesn't always work.
Pokemon:
- Name: Mako
- Species: Gabite
- Gender: Male
- Bio: Ugh, finally Mason is going out and doing something with his life. A town that's constantly snowing is no place for a dragon like Mako, that's for sure. Unlike Mason, Mako is far less restrained in his standoffishness, and is perhaps a bit too ready to get into fights, unfortunately for his trainer.

And now, a miniarc proposal!
Mario WAAPT + Totally-Not-Rabbids!
Oh no! Strange, deranged white Bunnelby have invaded via both the weakened multiversal barriers of The Entralink Is Done With Your Shit and their own timespace-travelling washing machine! Now, J-Teamers must ally with Bunnelby doppelgängers of themselves and a rabbit-eared Porygon-2 named Beepo to defeat the Megabug, a mysterious glitch that came along for the ride!
Tenative arc rules:
- Each PC or NPC involved gets two Pokemon: One of their own mons and their Bunnelby doppelgänger
- They have the option to keep the Bunnelby at the end of the arc
- Battles are strategic, with emphasis on cover and maneuverability
- Enemy Bunnelby (and Diggersby, for Smashers and boss Rabbids) are notably boosted in power by the Megabug
- Everyone gets gadgets and gizmos to supplement their regular attacks
- Due to the way gettiing playable characters works in the actual game, people can join in on the arc as it's ongoing
But any interest? Or suggestions and comments in gen-
Rabbid!Bunnelby: <BWAAAAAAAAAAAH>
...Well, they said it better than I could.
(Also thanks to Crow and Psyche for helping me plan this.)

Contact Me!Probably interested. Current WAAPT energy is a bit low, so I'll work out details when I'm peppier in regards to this.
"life is just a series of increasingly canon-eluding ao3 tags" ~ everydunsparce "Keep your hellfruit away from me, tempter" ~ also EveryI'm interested.
[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]Possibly interested?
Tastes better on the way back down.o/
Yeah, I'm in.
Gotta draft up my arc idea...all I have is some character ideas.
"Dang that sure is totally poggers my good bitch"Eh, what the heck. I'm in!
You see, I mistook this for some kind of... sentient garbage.Three things. First, miniarc!
What's this? A strange portal has opened up to another world? And out pop a group of four adventurers who are more than meets the eye? And they're always looking for new members...
This is a miniarc based on the Companions guild and questline from TESV: Skyrim.
Arc rules:
- Both humans and Mons may join at any point.
- Players can get one human and one-two Pokémon to join "the Circle" - the elite and leaders of the group.
- Enemies will include - but are not limited to - Golurks, Mamoswines, Gallades, Gardevoirs, Escavaliers, Yamask-line Mons, and Gastly-line Mons.
Characters:
- Aela the Huntress
- Species: Decidueye/ Midnight Lycanroc
- Gender: Female
- Ability: Limber
- Personality: Aela is strong, loyal, and brave. She has a love for combat but disdain for overtly-boastful Pokémon.
- Farkas
- Species: Aegislash/ Midnight Lycanroc
- Gender: Male
- Ability: Stance Change
- Personality: Compared his twin brother Vilkas, Farkas is stronger but less intelligent. However, Farkas is a kind-hearted individual. He also has [arachnophobia] and thus fears spider Pokémon such as Dewpider and Galavantula.
- Vilkas
- Species: Aegislash/ Midnight Lycanroc
- Gender: Male
- Ability: Stance Change
- Personality: In contrast to his twin brother Farkas, Vilkas is more intelligent but not as strong. He is very skeptical and distrusting of new Pokémon.
- The Harbringer/ Dovahkiin/The Last Dragonborn
- Species: Komno-o/ Midnight Lycanroc
- Gender: Male
- Ability: Bulletproof
- Personality: A stoic man with high morals. Back home, he is known as a warrior of great prowess. While he tends to be quiet, he speaks when needed.
And yes, they do come from a PMD-style universe.
Any concerns or questions? This is my first miniarc, after all.
Second, Shaun's Battle Bond Gallade.
I was thinking that his stats would look something like this:
(Yes, stats are generally worthless in the context of the RP, but this is for a general idea).
- Stats:
- HP: 70
- Attack: 165
- Defense: 115
- Sp. Attack: 65
- Sp. Defense: 85
- Speed: 115
As for appearance, I was thinking he looks like a modifed Mega Gallade. His "hips" will become thinner, the "cape" resembler a gray trenchcoat, enveloping his arms with holes for the blades, which will be a stormy grey-blue. And his hair/helmet becomes jet-black.
For the moves, I was thinking either a 80 BP Psycho Cut or a 130 BP Close Combat.
Thoughts on this?
Last but not least, a new weather move!
Thunderstorm:
- Causes the Thunderstorm weather condition.
- Status
- Learnable by any Electric-type who can learn Rain Dance.
- Z-Thunderstorm - Boosts Speed one stage.
Thunderstorm - Weather Condition
- Boosts power of Water and Electric moves by 50%.
- Weakens Fire-type moves and Solar Beam by 50%.
- Every turn, all Pokémon that are not Electric-type or immune to Electric attacks due to a Ground-typing or an ability like Motor Drive take 1/16th damage.
- Flying types take 1/8th damage.
- Causes Castform to become Water/Electric type.
- Makes Weather Ball an Electric or Water type.
- Thunder's accuracy is boosted.
- Hurricane's accuracy is boosted.
- Synthesis, Moonlight, and Morning Sun restore less HP than usual.
- Abilities such as Rain Dish and Swift Swim activate normally as if the weather was normal rain.
- Each turn, abilites activated by Electric Moves - like Motor Drive - activate.
Stormbringer - Ability
- Causes the Thunderstorm weather condition.
- Unique to the Chinchou-line (as of now)
Thoughts on this?

"Dang that sure is totally poggers my good bitch"In general, I support all three of them, although I have a few notes about the Thunderstorm stuff specifically.
For one, I'd suggest making the ability version exclusive to Lanturn specifically rather than the whole line, just like how the same ability in Pokemon Uranium is exclusive to Yatagaryu. This version of the weather condition certainly seems way more balanced for an RP format than the Uranium version, since it doesn't do as much damage per turn, although I'd suggest adapting the type-effectiveness part of that and just cutting the individual percentages in half. Except for Pokemon using Fly or Bounce, in which case the power is doubled again because congratulations you're now the highest object
Additionally, I'd say Weather Ball should only turn Electric, although for Castform itself, I 100% support it getting a dual-typed Thunderstorm Form. Also, Kyogre should get the move as well, since, well, Kyogre. :P
I feel like there's other things to note about it but I can't think of them off the top of my head.
As for the Gallade, my vote is toward boosted Psycho Cut, although I figure it could be bumped up to around 95, since Water Shuriken is 4/3 its original power and come to think of it, I might have put Gus's boosted Accelerock at 55 (rather than 60 like I thought) which is a teeeeeensy bit more than the same ratio.
Of course, that barely matters in an RP setting where we just call it "an unusually powerful version of the move" :P
Miniarc
Sounds fun, and I like how we would now have a PMD Elder Scrolls to PMD-B's kinda-sorta-Fallout. So I'm probably throwing somebody its way. Question, though, would humans be in Pokeform?
Batte Bond Gallade
Also fine with it, and vote Psycho Cut. Question, though, if a mon that can Mega Evolve gets Battle Bond, do they lose the ability to Mega Evolve in the process?
Thunderstorm
Eeeh, iffy on it for being Rain+, Uranium origins or no. If it were lime a Lanturn-exclusive enhancement to normal rain I could buy it, mabye.
Contact Me!Re: Companions arc, no, humans stay human.
Unless they get the Circle's Beast Blood and a Sun/Moon band so they can fight as a Midnight Lycanroc
Yeah, they do lose that ability.
A. I didn't even know Uranium had this. B. As stated in the chat, I'm fine with it being vetoed or reworked.
EDIT: VS's D!Post

"Dang that sure is totally poggers my good bitch"Alternate proposal for Thunderstorm/Stormbringer-
- Stormbringer is exclusive to Lanturn, and, hypothetically, Zapdos.
- Thunderstorm makes both Castform and Weather Ball Electric-type.
- Thunderstorm gives +50% to Electric moves and -50% to Fire moves and Solar Beam.
- Thunder's accuracy is only boosted 5%, and Hurricane recieves no boost.
- Damage per turn:
- 25% Effectiveness - 1/24
- 50% Effectiveness - 1/20
- 100% Effecticeness - 1/16
- 200% Effectiveness - 1/12
- 400% Effectiveness - 1/8
- If the user is in the semi-invulnerable turn of Fly, Bounce, or Sky Drop, the base damage per turn is doubled that turn only.
How does this sound?
edited 14th Oct '17 1:13:20 PM by SwiftSeraph
"Dang that sure is totally poggers my good bitch"Okay, so, after a bit of shower-thinking, perhaps we could modify Thunderstorm and Stormbringer to be less "rain but better" and more "hail but electric-type"? Like:
- Damages all non-Electric-types for 1/16 of their max HP, regardless of type effectiveness
- Still wanna suggest the "does double that for Pokemon using Fly, Bounce, and possibly both the user and the victim of someone using Sky Drop" if that sounds feasible?
- I still think that Thunder and definitely Hurricane should be boosted — the latter helps Flying-types more than anything else, really.
- No boost to Electric-type moves, it already has the damage-each-turn effect. Fire-types and Solar Beam (also Solar Blade) still probably get the nerf, though.
- Electric Weather Ball, and I still support dual-type Castform but if people would rather its new form be pure Electric that's fine too
- All Electric-types that can learn Rain Dance (plus Kyogre) can learn Thunderstorm, while Stormbringer is just for Lanturn, Zapdos, Raikou, and Thundurus.
- Replaces rain if caused by Rain Dance or Drizzle, but stacks with it in the event that it's used during Primordial Sea. Obviously can't be used during Desolate Land or Delta Stream.
Also considering a Flying-type equivalent, which could be more rain/sun-esque in contrast to Thunderstorm being hail/sandstorm-esque? We'd have to think of a name/basis first, though.
Does there *need* to be a new Castform form? Like, Sandstorm doesn't give it one, even, and that's a canon thing.
I'm done here.I suppose not necessarily, but I certainly like the idea.
UNRELATED NOTE NEW MUSIC THAT TECHNICALLY ISN'T NEW BUT STILL IS NEW
I...like this idea, but maybe we should hold off till USUM comes out if we were to do that.
