General Star Wars Animated Series

I would love to see them two interact given that they're both dark siders who are against authoritarians rather than working for/as them.

the next season of The Bad Batch will be it's last

Which surprises me, as it feels like the show is tackling a much lengthier narrative than can be resolved in one season.

I'm curious what kind of show the animation team will be working on next after this, as I imagine Tales of the Jedi won't be taking up all of it's time.

I cant say I'm personally surprised by this. Especially the places Tech, Omega Crosshair were in at the end of the season made it seem like the character arcs of the Batch are starting to move towards their conclusions.

Star Wars Visions Volume 2 trailer is out!

I guess in terms of character arcs the show is on a clearer parabola. But there's a lot of plot threads in the setting to contend with; the fate of the clones, what ever it is Palpatine wants Kiminoan technology for, why Omega is important, what the clone assassins are, the doctor with his designs on the Entire taking up eugenics, whole lot of mysteries about Cid. There's a lot going on.

Fact that most of those mysterious are intertvained does make it likely, assuming we get 16 eps again. If I had to guess, first half will be about finding Omega and Crosshair, while second will wrap up their story.

Hype!

Oh, I've been looking forward to this since it was announced. I absolutely loved the first volume of Visions and this looks like it's going to be great as well.

Oooooh man, I can just feel that the one by Cartoon Saloon is going to hit us in the feels.

I feel like that and the ones by Aardman, Punkrobot, Studio La Cachette, and Studio Mir will be PEAK AF.

I'm loving the veriety in both, animation styles and tones on display here.

It's really surreal seeing star wars aliens in Aardman style.

Well, this'll be interesting.

I want to see Disney themselves try their hand at a Star Wars animated story.

Maybe I'll get that Disney Princess Lightsaber fight that I've (for some reason) been dreaming of.

Hell, why not make it a Disney Princess Musical Lightsaber Battle. Just really go nuts.

There are actually Disney songs parodies with star Wars characters made before Disney bought it.

Yeah, next season being the last doesn't surprise me in the least. Crosshair's approaching his redemption moment. Meanwhile, the Batch has found a home to settle down in and are looking at Crosshair's rescue as a sort of "One last mission" thing. Also, it looks like we're right on the verge of getting answers to the questions surrounding Omega.

Season two ended with a pretty strong "We're in the endgame now" vibe to it. I'd already figured season three would be the last.

I guess he got bored of the moon because someone found him in our favorite far, far away galaxy!

Honestly good to see the restraint. The Bad Batch concept doesn't need to stretch itself out long.

I am in so much need of a show staring Luke, Leia and Han together. We've not seen them as a trio in the new canon outside of the original films and the comics. I'm just really eager for an ongoing story with the charasmatic characters who were once at the heart of the franchise.

I guess you could only really have it set either directly after Return of the Jedi and have them fight out the end of the war, or a decade and a half later where it's them three and teen Ben and Poe dealing with the rise of the first order, as you can't have it step on the toes of what ever the Mando-verse is doing with Luke.

And honnestly I'd happily have a show with the trio dealing with the rise of the first order. The live action shows are putting a lot of work into making Rise of Skywalker more solid, I'd happily see a cartoon do the same for the initial conflict with the first order.

Visions volume 2 is now out on Disney+, in Europe at least.

Which short was the best for you?

All were great, but if I had to randomly choose top 3: “Sith”, “Journey to the Dark Head” and “Spy Dancer”.

Regarding "In The Stars", I do like that they didn't feature a Sith or an Inquisitor as the main villain like I was expecting. It's a nice change of pace from the other shorts that did use them. Plus, having an AT-ST be the big threat of the short reminded in a good way of the Mandalorian.

It's kinda strange seeing high tech machinery Cartoon Saloon's art style.
