it seems we are getting new about the action utawarerumono now. here is the site: http://aquaplus.jp/uta/zan/
there is hardly anything on it right now, only showing the logo.
Looks like the remake of the first game is going to be officially translated and released in the West as "Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen". Release is set for "early 2020".
It's being done by NIS America this time, though, not Atlus. I really hope this doesn't introduce a confusing new set of translated terms and names.

That one has the redone gameplay, right? The original game was annoying when you scaled the difficulty up because they did a terrible job of balancing.
I believe the gameplay is similar to that of the sequels, judging from the trailers.
And now they've announced a brand-new game.
Once again we have a masked dude with amnesia and a girl who finds him. Business as usual. Other than that, not much is known at this point.
Having the protagonist be another human undermines the ending of the third game a little, though I guess they did leave some wiggle room for Haku to back out on it.
More news:
Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth are going to be released on Steam January 23rd, followed at some point by Prelude to the Fallen (release date on consoles "Spring 2020").
So soon you'll have the entire trilogy on PC, if you like.
Not going to buy the second or third games even though I think the latter is the best in the series. I already own them, after all. The remake of the first sounds promising though.
I'm actually replaying the third game right now and man, I forget how annoying Camyu and Aruru are once they aren't children anymore. If they weren't spoiled royalty they'd starve to death in a gutter somewhere.
Ah, the game froze up while I was fighting boss Kuon. After using Fumirul/twins final attack combo the game exited the attack screen and is just showing the three of them and Kuon just standing around. Can't do anything but move the camera. ...Well, I guess that makes a good place to stop playing. I'm not replaying that full stage again.

Remake is out on steam just short of a year after 2 and 3 made it there.
Neat. And bought.

On Utawarerumono page just who on Earth renamed Hakuoro to "Hakuowlo" and why?
Also I doubd the exhumded skeletal thing really merged with Hakuoro. The young scientist actually wasn't Hakuoro. Hakuoro really was that skeletal abomination which took on the science guy's appearance by absorbing genes from splattered blood when the guy's boss shot him.
At least I think it went that way.

Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.It's probably the official English transliteration of his name. Check the edit history of you want to know who did it.
He used to be that archeologist or whatever. I mean, he separates the power from himself and turns back into a human at the end of the third game.
In the anime series Hakuoro simply got willingly sealed stating that he's an unnecessary being which gave me the idea that the archaeologist wasn't really Hakuoro.
Humankind is like a train. No matter how powerful the locomotive is, it can only travel as fast as its slowest car allows it to.He got willingly sealed in the game too. He is Uitsa... I forget how to spell its name. He's its host. It makes him immortal and gives him superpowers.
Letarmoshiry or whatever is said to be an incredibly tiny, insignificant country.
UTZ is presumably Utawarerumono Zero and about Tuskur.
I suppose I'll buy the remake for the Vita if it gets translated. It was one of the first VNs I ever read so I don't need to, but it's one of those rare few projects I just want to support.
