From my understanding, it was a journalist breaking their NDA and posting just the title screens.

Also, they said they will only post balance changes, but I can't rrally believe someone who bteaks nda won't just go and spoil things.

Well, if anybody knows where to find leaked details that come out, I wouldn't mind knowing. I don't want to spoil Future Connected's story for myself but I'm curious about any gameplay changes to the main game they haven't already mentioned.

Only thing I'm really curious to know beforehand is how it runs. Since 2 had some controversy over playing undocked.

For what it's worth, the leaker is avoiding all story spoilers and only giving a few specific details on the gameplay.

I wanna know if Vision Reacts still overrides boss themes.

I hated that back in the original.

Based on one footage shown, I think it still does.

Dunno if NDA on voice actors/actresses have lifted. Rufus Jones retweeted the trailer with a comment. And before you ask who he is, That's Dunban over there!

Xenoblade twitter posted bios on each of the Future Connected protagonists and we got some small details about the story.

Shulk and Melia took one of the High Entia transport ships to Alcamoth, but crash landed on the Bionis Shoulder.

Both Kino and Nene are children and Kino is basically a male Nopon Sharla and Nene is a female Nopon Reyn, based on their bios, and Kino wants to be a hero like his dad and Nene is a motherly big sis to Kino.

Mind, this is all based on what I can get through Google translate, so I might be wrong somewhat.

Huh. If the translation on this is correct (which, given it's Google Translate, is a decent sized question mark), there's a new time attack system in the main game. Looks like you access it via rifts, a la the Land of Challenge in 2.

So, Gem Man's brother got sent into another dimension during an ether furnace accident?

Challenge Mode shop. Gear and gems. Considering there seems to be more room even after you seemingly fit in up to level VI gems, I have to wonder if there's something afterwards.

Challenge Mode unique gear. Scuba Shulk, Pajama Dunban, Pineapple Riki, and is Reyn wearing pajamas like Dunban or are they some soft of swimsuit. i can't tell.

Hmm. I foresee a Monado duel! There's no way they're going to pass up a Monado vs. Monado battle.

I forget the exact way it works.

But I hope the optimal strategy for gems no longer involves leaving one of your parties connections really low.

Last time I played though I rotated everyone, except I left Riki and Seven at minimum affection.

It was optimal, but it also felt kind of mean.

I always just got everyone up to speed while shuffling through characters or spamming items. As for the crystals, I just threw everything at the wall and see what stuck.

Heads up: previews are out tomorrow.

You go TO YOU TO ME I'VE GOT IT with level V cylinders and crystals until you have rank 6 gems which are kinda pointless since each provides 80% of the stat cap in most cases.

The time attack screenshots on Twitter are straight up better versions of the Land of Challenge in XB 2, down to the Nopon Archsage handing out the missions.

I am full of feelings. Mostly extreme jealousy. Nintendo plz release early.

Unless you carefully get Mega Heat using rank 5 cylinders, in which case you get max value rank 6 gems. Those are frequently 100% of the stat cap in a single gem (such as 100% Debuff Resist).

Only reasonable way to get that (unless this version changes some things) is to purposely keep two characters at low affinity so that you can turn crystals into cylinders and then repeatedly increase the value of the cylinders very slightly until you have two cylinders that are each at least 80%. Then you toss those in together and use Shulk + Reyn and pray you reach 300%.

I do hope they adjust the process so that deliberate low affinity is no longer optimal over high affinity. Or some way to control it better.

Now that you guys have reminded me how it works.

Maybe a piece of equipment that drastically lowers affinity boosts when equipped?

Or just another way to make cylinders.

Notably the video shows the "new zone" introduction for the Bionis Shoulder, complete with Bionis... until it explodes and is replaced by a graphic of the landmass.

Also, the video shows that FC adds more outfits for Shulk and Melia. Saw Shulk wearing a hoodie and Melia in black.

This looks great. Now I'm dreaming about X getting this treatment.
