I never said it wasn't an age old complaint. Only said it was one
Also...why does a certain chunk of you show off their underwear? I mean...it'd be one thing if they had something interesting printed on them. Or maybe you had lost a huge amount of weight and wanted kudos...but the others...seriously. I want to pants them. ALL. THE. TIME.
Time is so generous to us and, yet it's still such a cruel thief! -MikakoYoung people are working on the bottom in places where they don't see a future for themselves, for peanuts. They're seen as interchangeable and live up to that expectation.
I heard an educator for urban kids once talking about how he'll point out to them that the saggy-pants style seems cool because it came out of prisons, but it was actually started as a sign of sexual availability as a bottom. The kids he tells that to buy a belt immediately.

Fresh-eyed movie blogI heard that, but wasn't sure about the validity. Valid or not though, if it prevents me from having to deal with the saggy pants thing, I'm all in to start making commercials with the story.
Time is so generous to us and, yet it's still such a cruel thief! -MikakoSo this is a thread for people my age?
All I can say is that I think most people my age are . . . . what's a polite word for stupid?
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseCommon sense challenged?
Time is so generous to us and, yet it's still such a cruel thief! -MikakoThere we go.
Back in my day . . . . . or whatever . . . . . common sense was actually common.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI'd say our generation has a disproportionate amount of people from said generation saying we are the worst but previous generations might have done that too.
Although, I have to say: when the Baby Boomers were our age, they were just as bad, if not worse.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone else90's kid here, I do agree that our generation is too fixated on technology, case in point. I can't speak for everyone, but I am THE typical spawn without any direction as to what I'll do in the future. I barely scrapped into Medicine and I know I don't have the grades to continue doing it to be a doctor like I hoped. Friends of mine have tried their hands at being youtubers and pursuing degrees that don't have the clearest future... It goes as well as you'd expect.
Probably true, but thanks to the information age, we get to see every thought, navel picking, and selfie the current generation has to offer.
The Boomers are every bit as entitled, and let's not forget that we have them to thank for raising the current generations.

I had a brilliant idea once.
Wow. I'd swear that exact complaint doesn't come up in ancient writings at all about later generations of kids... Um, wait...
Actually, I do believe it does... And, crops up in medieval texts in both Europe and China, etc., etc.
Heck, for all I know, some of those enigmatic cave paintings could well be symbols for "stupid apprentice not rocking up on time to hold my pigment as I told them they should".
Erm: don't look at me. I'm 38. <_<
