How exactly so?
I am kinda assuming that majority of people willing and capable of throwing money to support the comic are already doing so via patreon.
Or unable to do so for lack of money.
Ultimately, that seems to be the two halves of the problem: Zack's current amount of support is not enough for an artist to help them.
The problem of Zack not being willing to take one even if that wasn't the case is a different, just as difficult beast.

He feels like he's got a lot of "My Guy" tendencies in his persona. He's made himself a different person than who his parents want, and then he does things because "that's what my character would do" even though it makes him a bit of an asshole.
Or it could be this is who he genuinely is, but it feels like a front.
