Sure, he could go outside and read some books, but the classes aren’t in session, so he really can’t just casually walk there and read some of them. He peaks out of the door, looking around to double check to see if there is someone around. Once there’s no one, he quietly gets out as walks around.

Kiel has arrived at the top of the school, looking around the garden and the battle court. He did hear about some students' battle here, but it’s not used for the time being.

Joker: <So, naturally, you need fire, fighting, rock, and steel to win, right?>

After Joker and Luka got healed up, Kokichi got dressed up as some middle school student from Kanto while Jazzy dresses up as a pumpkin.

For some odd reason, Jazzy begin to viciously bite Kokichi.

Suddenly, one of Yuna’s pokèmon came out of her pokèballs. Meiko, who is an Midday form Lyacraoic, chases after Jazzy while Yuna prevents Yukari from chasing after her.

Yuna: I don’t recommend doing that, Yukari. Besides, she is close.
Yukari crosses her arms as Kiel and Joker heals Kokichi from the battle and the bite.
Yukari: Close? Close to what?
Yuna: She’s close to evolving. All rockruffs needs to be away from their trainers until they’re done.

It had come down to a Tera-Water Nessa vs Tulip's Tera-Psychic Florges. Both Pokemon looked like they could faint at any moment, but Nessa had other plans.
Nessa: No! I don't want to lose! If I lose, then literally everything will have been for nothing!
Poppy: That's... the spirit, Nessa? I'm not too sure, actually...
Nessa: If I lose, here and now, then everything Poppy has ever done will have been for nothing. You think this is a fun battle? No. For Poppy, it means getting stronger, and if we lose, we'll all be weak the whole time.
Poppy: Nessa, if we lose, we can just rematch-

Yukari has already completed the gym trial as she heads towards where the battle court is located. However, Yukari stops for a moment as she considers the events that happened yesterday.
Yukari: Not only Jazzy is out somewhere in Paldea, Kokichi can’t battle, which I don’t blame him. Only Forte and Kiel is able to battle, but…
Yukari senses that something is off whenever Kiel asks her about if he did improve. Now, she doesn’t mind that, however it came up a lot more lately and she better nip the problem before it could get worse. There, she summons Kiel.
Kiel: <Huh? Did something happen?>
Yukari: No. It’s just that you kept asking us about if you improve in battles.
Kiel: <Is it that annoying?>
Yukari: No, it’s not. But, I feel like there’s more to that. It’s like…you’re not “good” enough???
Okay, she doesn’t have the non-stiffness of Yuna, but it’s clear she’s worried about Kiel for something serious.
Kiel: <...What’s the point? Even if I evolved, I’m still not good enough. Sure, there’s Forte and I know she can easily defeat Grusha, but for me…even if I have every fire move in the world…it’s not enough…it will never be.>
Kiel is on the verge of crying, but he is holding the tears back as he doesn’t want to worry Yukari that much due to the fact that she senses something wrong.
Yukari: I see…hey, Kiel, I know you may think that you’re not good enough for battling, but in truth, you are strong enough…in an emotional sense and special attacks.

Yukari: There are moves that can utilize your sp. Atk, which are your strong points.

Yukari: If you want to stay up, that’s fine. I’m in no rush to do elite four battles. Besides, Jazzy really wanted to become a paldea champion and we haven’t got the bug badge back from Tagg, though I don’t mind someone else delivering for him.
Kiel: <Um…I just want to say thank you for earlier.>
Yukari: For…?
Kiel: <You know, with the whole you are good enough speech thing?>
Yukari: Oh, right…I only did that since I cared about my pokèmons’ wellbeing and don’t like when their wellbeings aren’t good.
Kiel: <I see. …Hey, Yukari, I know it sounds weird, but since we’re just passing some time, I want to be human.>
Yukari: …Pardon?
Kiel: <You know how you take classes from that chef guy? I want to take classes from him as well, but I can’t since I’m a pokèmon and I don’t want to cause you any trouble.>
Yukari: Well…to be fair, Jazzy is out for the time being and the fact that the bug badge is still being work on getting back… Alright, if you want to be a human for a day, then I’ll find a way for that.

Yukari and the team are just taking a stroll as the weather looks nice today.
Yukari: The wind does feel nice. However, I hope Jazzy is doing well…I asked Yuna about it and she says that Meiko hasn’t come back either. I hope nothing-
Joker: <Hey, why is there a ship here?>
Yukari: Huh?
Yukari looks at what Joker is referring to and notices the ship.
Yukari: …Who the hell places a ship in the middle of Paldea?!
Kokichi: <Beats me. Besides, none of us here don’t even own the ship.>
Kiel: <Oh! Maybe we can go in and see the inside of the ship.>
Yukari: Wait, it might have some security measures since we’re not the ship’s owner.
Joker: <Yukari, are we stealing something from the ship?>
Yukari: No.
Joker: <Then, we’re just exploring on the ship since we’re not stealing and the security measures won’t affect us.>
Yukari: Joker, I swear to Arceus! You’re going to get us in trouble with the ship’s owner!
Yukari pursues Joker while the rest just simply shrugs and follows her as they all head to the ship.

Spectral blue swords extended from Silas's forearms as he began to slash and slice, dancing around Helena. She spawned dupe after dupe to keep him off, dodging everything as best as she could. What the hell was this, it looked like he was coated in armor shaped like a Mega-Lucario, but it was so small it couldn't be armor... was it skin?!
He dashed around and gave her a kick. Helena grunted as she hit the wall and turned to face him, pulling her own tonfa and began to swing, Juliana jumped in with a focus palm. The way he moved, it was like he was dancing, like there was a beat that only he could hear and it gave him a sync to everything.
Silas dodged the focus palm, it connected with Helena instead. She felt her armor absorb the blow, but it still transferred quite a bit, the force shivered throughout her body, and Helena couldn't take it. She blacked out, her last conscious thoughts about what monster had just shown up.
Silas turned to Juliana, who prepped herself to face the Burst Heart, only for him to whistle. She turned and was faced with a very ready Hacks, reading a close combat rush. Without Helena she had no dupes, and without that... well she wasn't exactly ready without a crutch.
Roxy entered the bridge of her home, and looked to Bishop. "Get this running!"
"Yes Commander!"
Roxy darted over to the radio station and turned it on, grabbing the headpiece and pulling her cowl down. "You there Cylus?"
"Hey Cutie, how'd you get this number?" came his response, Roxy grumbling at it.
"So, how's this work?"
"I work the controls, open a portal out, our ships fly back to your OU. Simple as."
"And you can just do that?" Roxy asked, skeptical.
Cylus was glad she couldn't see that his left arm had merged with the console a bit. "Yeah easy enough, as soon as your Silas shows up, you're heading out, I'll be there shortly myself."
"Well... thanks, for saving me from Gabriel I suppose. Get lost in the distortion world for dragging me into this shit."
Cylus laughed, looking out over the ship, sighing whistfully. The Wing, his had been the Oblivion Wing, but it seems her Silas had gone on some different adventures and renamed it... oh well. It was a good old ship, and this one seemed far different to what he had, a shame.
He looked out and saw a small group running in, a bunch of pokemon lead by what looked to be someone using a burst heart. That was odd, it was a Mega-Lucario, he didn't think Bursts could hold a mega... could they?
The burst vanished and in a flash of blue, hopping into a lower airlock was Silas. Oh... now this would be interesting.
With him on board, time to fill his obligations... he threw the switch, and watched as the portal opened, swallowing the ship whole. They had finally escaped, Cylus looked to Hayon and began to laugh, his arm slinking back.
Hayon began to laugh back, the two looked to the door frame as in ran authority guards, who were faced with Cylus, still laughing, as his left arm shifted into a chainsaw, his eyes glowing in the darkness.
"Want some advice? Run."

Stormchaser, Tony's Room (A couple months ago)
After the gang left Barato's that day and regrouped, they all were now getting ready to sleep for the night, but everyone was still concerned about Saul's behavior, particularly his increasing nervousness about the Murkrow that had been attacking the people of Mesagoza. The whole room seemed rather quiet. Tony was making his bed, Saul was sitting on Tony's desk, and Stephen and Autumn were just staring at him suspiciously. After his bed was all made, Tony then finally broke the silence.
Tony: So Saul, you gonna tell us what's on your mind?
Saul was twiddling his claws and tried to give a smile that showed that he was doing okay.
Saul: <W-what do you mean? I-I'm not thinking about anything important right now!>
The whole group was not convinced by Saul's attempt at playing it cool.
Tony: Well, you obviously are…you've been acting weird ever since you left our meeting with the Chief, we've all noticed that.
Stephen: <Yeah, we all know there's something going on with you. Besides, you're not really doing a good job of hiding it.>
Saul just continued to try and act like literally nothing was wrong, even though he was literally tearing apart at the seams.
Saul: <Uh…errr…can't you see guys? I'm…totally…okay! For real! Heh…heheh…>
That was when Autumn snapped. She straight up Tail Whipped his face, throwing him off the desk and onto the floor. Then he pinned him to the wall with her paws, clearly showing that she was done with Saul's lies and wanted answers.
Autumn: <Alright Saul, listen up! We all know you're acting weird! Especially when we were all talking about the Murkrow from Tony's case! There's no point in hiding it! Why the hell are you trying so hard to act like you're fine?!>
Saul: <Umm…>
Autumn: <COME ON SAUL! WHAT'S GOING ON WITH YOU?!>
Saul: <Errr…>
At this point Tony and Stephen saw that the conversation was getting heated, and wanted to cool things down a bit.
Tony: Autumn! You're taking it way too far!
Stephen: <I agree, pressuring him is just gonna make it worse!>
Autumn: <I DON'T CARE! I'M SO FRIGGIN' TIRED OF HIM LYING TO US ABOUT THIS! HE NEEDS TO TELL ALL OF US! NOW!!!!>
Saul was now on the verge of crying as Autumn was continuing to pressure him into spilling the beans about what he was hiding.
Saul: <I…umm…>
Autumn: <WHAT? WHAT IS IT SAUL? TELL US!>
At this point, Tony knew that things were just going to get worse from here, so in a fit of desperation, he slammed down his hands on the side of his hand with a loud "thud!"
Tony: ALRIGHT YOU TWO! CUT IT OUT! BOTH OF YOU!
Everyone was startled by Tony acting out, with Stephen looking worried at not just him, but Saul and Autumn. Tony realized he was way too harsh there and calmed down a bit before responding.
Tony: …Sorry, I shouldn't have yelled like that, I hope all this noise didn't wake anyone up… Clearly trying to talk to Saul right now isn't working, especially when he's so scared to tell us what he's been thinking about. I think we should just all get some rest. We can talk more about this tomorrow, when we're all more relaxed and not so tense. We're going to talk to that injured person the Chief was talking about in the morning anyway.
Autumn then looked like she was about to say something to Tony, but didn't. She instead took one more glare at Saul, before making her way onto Tony's bed to get ready to sleep.
Stephen: <Actually Tony, I want to talk to Saul for a bit before we go to sleep. Just us, alone.>
Tony: Really? Okay, I suppose. But please try to keep it quiet, other trainers here are trying to get some shuteye.
Stephen: <Don't worry, we'll be okay. Right Saul?>
Saul, still crying a bit from Autumn's interrogation of him, nodded and then went to head outside of Tony's room, with Stephen floating behind him as they made their way out.
Stormchaser, Hallway
When the two were outside, Saul then sat down in front of the door to Tony's room, while Stephen floated down to be face to face with him.
Stephen: <Now, I'm going to say this off the bat. I think you have something to do with the Murkrow attacking those people. Am I right?>
Saul paused for a moment then nodded slightly. Stephen closed his eyes and let out a sigh of disappointment.
Stephen: <I figured. At the meeting, as soon as we mentioned the Murkrow, your cheerful demeanor started to change, and when we talked about the injuries they inflicted on those people, that's when you really started to crack. Those were all obvious clues. The most damning one of all though was when I saw something else as you walked away to "catch your breath.">
Saul then looked confused for a second, before realizing what he was talking about.
Saul: <You saw the feather too? …Wait, you were following me?>
Stephen: <Yes, I kept an eye on you, and I turned myself invisible to keep you unaware of my presence. I saw you looking at the black feather that was floating around in the sky. It seemed like you were familiar with it. At first, I thought you were just in awe of it, but then I remembered that you have a past criminal lifestyle. One that might be still trying to pull you back in. My guess is that you owe some sort of favor or debt to this murder of Murkrow that's been terrorizing Mesagoza, and all of those attacks by them were their way of trying to get your attention. So, is that all true, or did I miss a few things?>
Saul just stared at him in awe. He knew Tony and Stephen were detectives, but he didn't know that they were this good.
Saul: <Wow, that's actually pretty close to what was bothering me…you did make one mistake though in your assumption there, but I'll tell you more about that tomorrow.>
Stephen: <Indeed, and I think you should also tell everyone else the full story of all of this.>
Saul: <B-but…won't they be mad at me for dragging them into another mess of mine?>
Stephen: <Saul, you've shown yourself to be a good mon overall, I'm sure they'd be able to understand if you just explain everything. I'm not mad at you, what makes you think they wouldn't be any different?>
Saul: <Autumn wouldn't understand…>
Stephen: <Oh? Why do you think that?>
Saul: <You saw the way she was being aggressive to me. She wanted my head! If anything, I have a feeling if she wanted to kill me, she would!>
Stephen: <Saul…you need to understand that she was only mad because you've been unable to spit out what's been bothering you, and the fact that you've also tried to act like you're okay, when you're not.>
Saul: <Yeah, but sometimes, I think she just plain hates me. She's been a little suspicious of me ever since we made it to Paldea…I don't think she'll ever like me…as a member of the team, or as a friend…>
Stephen: <Well, how would you know that if you've never asked her?>
Those words hit Saul in the gut the most. He never thought about that…but still…he didn't want to ask her anyway…because he was too scared of her opinions about him. The way she berated him, and saw him as a mon overall, it painted a picture that she never liked him to begin with, and now it was all becoming crystal clear, he didn't need a reminder of that from actually asking her about it. So, after Stephen said that to him, all he could do was look down at the floor, with tears welling up in his eyes, before starting to cry softly. Stephen knew that he had talked to him enough for the night, so he aimed to wrap things up with him so they could go to bed.
Stephen: <Well…it certainly is late, why don't we both go back to the room so we can finally sleep, hm?>
Still weeping, he then looked at him and then turned his head to face the wall of the Stormchaser.
Saul: <Actually…I need to stay here for a bit…>
Stephen: <Oh…I see, well, when you're all set, there's a space on Tony's bed for you to doze off on…right next to Autumn.>
That sentence made Saul's tears fall down even harder than before. Stephen then looked ashamed of himself that he even mentioned that statement of his. He instantly made himself invisible and phased through the door to Tony's room. Saul continued to let it all out, as he put his claws on his face and sobbed. At that moment, anyone could have heard the sound of sobbing coming from one of the hallways in the Stormchaser, as it echoed throughout the ship. It was as if Saul's sadness was spreading, to every corner and every turn that wove itself into the depths of it, and the Stormchaser noticed, as that very night, when Saul eventually made his way back to the room to sleep, the ship made it so that it felt like it was the comfiest place it's ever been in a long time, and he never felt more relieved to rest.
Fun isn't something one considers when I watch or read stuff with people with costumes and capes, but that does bring a smile to my face.

Yukari and co have finally caught up with Joker as he looks around for the entrance.
Joker: <Nice looking ship they got there.>
Yukari: That I agree, however, none of us here are going inside the ship. Sure, we aren’t going to steal anything, but entering the ship without the ship’s owner's permission is going to get us in trouble.
Joker: <Okay, then why is the ship’s door open?>
Yukari: Huh?
The ship’s door is open for them…for whatever reason. It could be a haunted ship, but…
Yukari: …Someone probably forgot to close the door.
Kokichi: <No one is that dumb…>
Kiel: <I mean, we could just walk away->
Joker: <Or, we could just go on in!>
Forte: <Aren’t you going to listen to Yukari about not going into the ship?>
Joker ignores Forte’s question as he heads on in. Yukari just groans as Forte and Kiel quickly follow Joker.
Kokichi: <Now, I don’t hate Joker and all, but I sometimes wonder what is going on in his head.>
Yukari: I also wonder about that as well.
Kokichi: <Let’s go ahead and find where those three went before the ship’s owner comes back.>
Yukari: Agree. I can’t even imagine the thought of getting myself in trouble over Joker wanting to go inside.
Thus, Yukari and Kokichi go inside of the ship, hoping to find the rest as quickly as possible.

Yukari and Kokichi have entered the ship with Kokichi closing the door quietly.
Yukari: Okay, let’s be quiet in case there are people on the ship. The last thing I need is to cause a disturbance.
Kokichi: <Right.>
Yukari and Kokichi look around for them, while enjoying themselves on the ship.

Yukari and Kokichi arrived at the Food Court section of the ship where they found Forte and Kiel.
Yukari: Well…at least we found both of you.
Kiel: <Never thought the ship here has a food court.>
Forte: <And it’s very interesting.>
Yukari: But, where is Joker?
Kiel: <We lost him, so Forte and I decided to wait until you and Kokichi find us.>
Kokichi: <That sounds like a nice idea.>
Yukari: But, we better find Joker before anyone finds us.
With that, Yukari and co went out of the food court to search for Joker.

Yukari and co walk along the hallways to search for Joker.
Kokichi: <This is just me, but I feel like this is home.>
Yukari: I’m pretty sure you just like the ship’s food court.
Kiel: <Kokichi might have a point though. I mean, the ship could have an libary.>
Yukari: You two need to take a chill pill as while the ship is nice and all, we don’t own it. So, once we get Joker, we’re heading out as fast as possible.

She quickly enters the room while Forte, Kiel, and Kokichi simply wait outside of the room that Yukari enters.

Yukari: Okay…why the lights are off?
Yukari, while in the dark, looks around for a light switch. Once she finds it, she turns the room light on.

Yukari: Okay, yep. That’s our cue to exit. -Picks up the fainted Petilil- I’m glad that you’re not hurt or anything, but anyone on here could have heard that incident, so let’s get out of here before the owner of the ship gets wind of this!
With that, Yukari and co quickly get out of the ship before anyone could notice.

Yukari has brought the pokèmon to the pokèmon center. After healing her, Yukari went where Joker is at.

Yukari: Well, at least she didn’t outright die. Anyway, let me just…
Yukari then summons Petilil, who is a bit dazed.

Yukari: Buh?!

Joker: <It seems that you two are having fun.>

Joker: <Well, it’s probably the fact that I think that we should go and do the elite trials.>

Yukari looks at who interrupted Joker and sees a blonde-haired young man with red eyes. He has some kind of vibe of a royal prince from ancient Galar.
Yukari: Um…Who are you?
Arthur: Arthur De Lawerance, the 13th trainer of the Lawerance family. I am looking for Petilil, who happens to be a shiny version of her, named Frey. If you have seen her, please let me know.
It was quiet. It wasn’t the fact that he’s from the Lawrence family; It was the fact that not only was it the same Frey that Yukari has been taking care of for the last two days, Joker also caused her to get memory loss. The silence was notable for Arthur.
Arthur: Is everything alright?
Yukari: -Whispers to Joker- Nice fucking job, Joker! You fucked it up big time!
Joker: -Whispers to Yukari- <Hey! At least I was trying to make up for it. I didn’t know that Frey belonged to prince galar vibey trainer over there. Also, didn’t he win those badges after you done them?!>
Arthur: Um…
Right, they can’t just diddle daddle any longer. Plus, that would make them more suspicious. If anything, might as well come clean.
Yukari: Okay…how do I say this to him…Wait, I got it! You see, Joker was exploring something in the forest and accidently fainted Frey, which led to her getting memory loss.
Joker: -Whispers to Yukari- <Hey! Why you gotta tell him that part?!>
Yukari: -Whispers to Joker- <Oi! If we keep whispering, he’ll get suspicious of us!> -Back to Arthur- When she awoke, we claimed that I’m her trainer as we both thought that she was a wild shiny pokèmon and there was no proof that she belonged to someone else.
Arthur: Oh my…
Yukari: -To Frey- I’m sorry Frey…really, I am.
Frey: <...It’s okay! To be honest, I feel like something was off, so it’s fine.>
Arthur: But, even after you lost your memory, are you sure you can handle the battle against Rikka?
Frey: <I believe so. It’s not like my memory loss will prevent me from battling.>
Frey’s words have resonated with Yukari. It’s true that Yukari is unable to remember her past, but that hasn’t stopped her from battling and Arthur has noticed it.
Arthur: …No, that would be wrong. -To Yukari and Joker- I know that while you have yourself a fair share of problems, but I think having Frey with you might helped out.
Joker: <Wait, are you serious? But, didn’t your family came from generations of pokèmon trainers?>
Arthur: That is true, however, I strived to become a different kind with Pokèmon by my side.

The sun was out, the Squawkabilly were chirping, it was set to be a normal, but perfectly fine day.
Before Poppy and her mons climbed Glaseado Mountain once again, she had them all out for some playtime and a picnic.
Poppy: Enjoy this while it lasts, guys! Tomorrow, we're going up Glaseado Mountain for our last Gym Badge! Can't believe I'm saying that, actually... we're almost there!
Donut: So then we challenge the League, right?
Poppy: Hmm... I'm torn between doing that or looking for the final Herba Mystica first. I don't even know where it is.
Pancake: Take your time. After all, nothing bad is going to happen. Unless, you know... one of us drowns right at the bottom of that lake we're seated right next to.

Meanwhile, Lila was on her own. Earlier, she had noticed a peculiar smell in the air, like a spicy ingredient, and was now trying to figure out its source.
Lila: If I could smell that spice and taste it on my tongue from a mile away, either I have really strong senses or that is one spicy ingredient.
She was then stopped by a Tatsugiri calling out to her - a particularly large Tatsugiri.
Lila: Oh, hey! Listen, you don't have any spicy ingredients or something around here, do you?
The Tatsugiri seemed in discomfort, however.
Lila: What's that?
Lila noticed a branch stuck to its tail.
Lila: Oh! Okay, let's shake this right off.
She picked Tatsugiri up and shook its entire body, which helped getting the branch off. She put it back down to the ground, unbeknownst to her, a Dondozo was watching the whole thing, and it misunderstood what Lila was doing when she shook it.
Lila: Okay! Branch gone!
Tatsugiri seemed happy, but soon it was swallowed up by Dondozo, leaving Lila in awe. It glanced down at her.
Lila: ...Okay, I don't know who you are, or why you swallowed up Tatsugiri, but this is all a big misunderstanding, see, I was just trying to help it!
The Dondozo didn't believe her, however, and Lila found herself having to dodge an Aqua Tail.
Lila: Oh, you wanna fight, huh? Let's go. Let's fight.

Yukari has arrived to the Pokèmon League to battle the elite four, but…
League rep: Sorry, but even if your bug badge was stolen, you can’t challenge the elite four.
Yukari: … You got to be kidding me.
Due to the events yesterday, Yukari forgot about the fact that her bug badge is still stolen and hasn't been retrieved for her.
Yukari: But, someone from the school might come and…well…
League rep: I’m sorry, but you can’t come in until you get all the badges.
Yukari: But, if you contact Katy right now, she’ll tell you I defeated her!
League rep: I said this again, if you want to defeat the elite four… You. Must. Have. Eight. Badges. Okay?
Yukari: But, I have all eight badges! It’s just that one of them is stolen!
League rep: Hmm…
Yukari: Wait…don’t tell me…you don’t believe that I have defeated all gyms, do you?
League rep: Well, there’s no way that you'll be able to defeat the gyms that quick. Plus, the director might’ve given you the rest of the badges so you won’t battle.
???: Do you really think the director will do such a thing?
Yukari and the League rep looked and saw Arthur, who just arrived.
Arthur: Oh, Yukari.
Yukari: Okay, why are you here?
Arthur: Well, the director has told me to give you this.
Yukari: Wait, how long-
Arthur: Well, the director was trying to give it to you for the last few days, but you ended up being quick on leaving and doing other things.
Yukari: Oh…I see.
Arthur: Anyway, until the fates let us meet again, I’ll be off.
With that, Arthur left the Pokèmon League.
Yukari: He seem to be inclined within the whole fates thing he’s going with. Well, since I got all my eight gym badges, I suppose I can challenge them now, hmmm?
League rep: Y-yes, you can. Feel free to go in!
With that, Yukari heads inside to begin the challenge to battle Elite four and then battle La Prima.

Trill gets to prepping with the food, seeming to not be slowed down by using talons and beak now until she makes a pair of noodle sandwiches with chorizos and lettuce spread throughout that look pretty alright.

It doesn't matter what the truants or Ms. Lydia say, I have to beat her, and then everything will change. Maybe Lian will come back, maybe I'll be actually worth something other than leftovers.
