Fleurir turns around and kicks up a blast of ground energy at Meditite!

The Meditite manages to avoid the brunt of the blow by levitating out of the way, but still gets grazed by bits of energy that streak towards him.
Maylene: Starting off strong. Not bad!
she grins as Meditite prepares itself, returning to its meditative position.

Fleurir whinnies, then jumps into the air, her body seemingly turning metallic as she tackles the Meditite on the ground!

Maylene: Detect!
The Meditite doesn't move, at first. However, at the instant Fleurir was about to hit him, he opens his eyes and moves. Very slightly. But it was enough to send Fleurir hitting nothing but ground.

Fleurir hits the ground, quickly getting back to her feet.
Atrin: Nice one. But let's see what it can do when the attacks keep coming! Fleurir! Another High Horsepower!
Fleurir turns around again, giving a strong kick of dirt and energy to Meditite!

Maylene: Whoa! Detect!
She shouts, but the Meditite's body was still processing the Detect, and he opens his eyes in shock as Fleurir flawlessly chains a kick into her slam. The wave of Ground-Type energy overwhelms the Meditite, sending it into the ropes, which stretch a little, sending it into the ground, fainted.
Maylene huffs in delight and returns Meditite.
Maylene: You did good, Meditite. Now let's give your partners a shot. Go, Machoke!
She throws the Poke Ball in the air. The Machoke, for its airtime, strikes a few macho poses, before Maylene orders him to use
Maylene: Rock Tomb!
The Machoke roars, summoning rock-like constructs of energy, and kicking them towards Fleurir.

Fleurir is devestated by the Rock Tomb, and while her defense increases due to Stamina, she's definitely hit hard!

Fleurir just gives the meanest glare she can at the Machoke, hoping to intimidate it into lowering it's attack!

-Deziree is tapping her foot at the door when the lawyer comes out.-
Deziree: Mr. Mendez.
-Her voice drips with quicksilver and lead. The lawyer winces.-
Anthony Mendez, Attorney At Law: Mrs. Galvani-Morton.
-Mendez had been given nasty looks from the people he'd brought motions against in the past, but he didn't think anyone held a grudge quite like his client's daughter-in-law. Except maybe his client's son.-
Deziree: I presume there are no issues at present?
-Mendez tightens up.-
Mendez: ... No, ma'am. No issues at present. All paperwork and powers of attorney, as well as all extraneous authorities and securities appear to be in order.
-He was going to have to tell his client that, and he knew it was going to make his day considerably worse when he did so.-
Deziree: Excellent. Tell Chris I said, "hi".
-Mendez nods his head and hurries on his way, keeping his briefcase close and tight. He'd protested that investigating his client's aunt and her conduct during such a high-profile medical case involving her own granddaughter, as her closest living relative, was a bad idea. Yet away the hospital director had sent him, anyway.-

-Deziree steps into the room. Mobius and Code Talker were no longer needed, so the former had gone home. The latter, meanwhile, has apparently developed quite a rapport with the local pathologist, and is sticking around for the time being.-

-Rebecca's face looks fairly analogous to a highschooler who'd just been let out of their final class.-
Rebecca: Fuuuuuuck, I'm so tired of talking to people.
Deziree: Oh trust me, I get it. Especially Mendez.
Rebecca: God, fuck that guy and Chris. You have no idea how many times he asked the same question over and over, just worded slightly differently.
Deziree: I know, alright. Would you believe that I've met him before?
Rebecca: God, how did you deal with him?
Deziree: Just answer yes or no. Never elaborate. If you're ever on the stand, or talking to any lawyer that isn't yours, remember that.
Rebecca: That sounds like a Dune-ism.
Deziree: Sure is. Though that brings up something I've been meaning to ask - how well do you know Dune?
-Rebecca shrugs while flexing her new arms.-
Rebecca: Kinda had a bit of a generational gap there, so we weren't super close, but I saw him a lot at Gramgram's lab when I was little. He was a cool guy. Taught me how to drink cactus juice safely.
Deziree: "It's the quenchiest"?
Rebecca: "It's the quenchiest"!

The Machoke continues posing, but it definitely freezes at the Scary Face, allowing for a follow-up attack.

Maylene: Use Cross Chop!
The Machoke shakes off its fear and dives rapidly towards Fleurir, hands crossed in front of its face.

-And Grieve shrieks silently through the tempest around them. The funny thing about sound waves is, they only occur when air molecules vibrate in an organized manner. If it's sufficiently disorganized, the energy is instead transferred as heat.-

The Machoke hops from foot to foot, arms up in a boxing stance, letting out some rapid punches.
Maylene: Try this! Vital Throw!
The Machoke prepares itself, jumping, not exactly slowly, but with a lot of lag time (0:10)
. Orchard could hit it, but not without being hit as well.

Orchard gives a nod and smile to Atrin before firing off acid of grass energy at Machoke!

Maylene: Interesting move!
she nods approvingly, and her Machoke tries to block the Acid with its arm, but steam rises from it and it shakes it rapidly, as if trying to dislodge the acid. However, the charge is not interrupted, and Orchard is thrown into the air.

Atrin: Dragon Pulse! We got this!
Out of Orchard's mouth a blast of energy is fired at Machoke!

The Dragon Pulse strikes true! The Machoke grunts under the stream of draconic energy, and Maylene clenches her fists in worry as her Pokemon weakens.
Maylene: Use Dual Chop! Cut through it!
The Machoke roars again as its hands are cloaked in similar energy to Orchard's pulse and begins slowly walking forward, parting the beam.

Orchard fires off one last Apple Acid before getting hit with the Dual Chop! Orchard struggles to stay up, but fails and goes down just as the acid is thrown at Machoke!

Machoke laughs in relief as it barrels through the acid and knocks out Orchard... Before fainting.
Maylene: Good job making it this far! However, time for the fight of your life!
Maylene smiles, pulling out her last Poke Ball. She sends out a Lucario, which howls in challenge in a fighting stance.

Without a word, Atrin sends out Mimir as his last Pokemon.
Atrin: Alright, Mimir. Another challenge for us to take on. Let's kick it off! Psyshock!
Mimir's eyes glow, and a blast of psychic energy is sent Lucario's way!

The Lucario takes the blow, pushed back slightly. He looks undeterred, however, and dashes towards Mimir.
Maylene: Use Bone Rush!
Maylene yells as the Lucario summons two bone clubs and, once in Mimir's general vicinity, starts spinning them rapidly around the Duosion.

Atrin: We're doing good. Now, give him a focus blast!
A blast of energy is hurled at the Lucario!

Lucario's eyes widen as he is hit in the gut by the Focus Blast, sending him into the ropes. Adapting quickly, however, he stretches the ropes as far as he can, slingshotting himself at Mimir as Maylene yells,
Maylene: Now you're ours! Close Combat!
The Lucario dashes towards Mimir with his momentum, ready to unleash a heavy barrage of punches and kicks that will certainly knock out any weaker Pokemon.

Mimir takes the hit, and is definitely hit hard by it! Struggling to stay up, Mimir's face is that of determination!
Atrin: Mimir, you good? Don't force yourself if it's too much!
Mimir looks back and just nods at Atrin, before transmitting something into his head. A simple image, of a fifteen year old Atrin looking at Mimir from the other side of glass, back when Mimir was a part of Dr. Holloway's lab tests.
Atrin: Yeah. It's you and me, Mimir. Always is. Let's do it!
Suddenly, as Atrin cheers him on, Mimir starts glowing! In the glow, you can see him stretching out, his short stubby blob arms becoming long and full! The bottom of his physical body stretching out into legs, and his mouth stretching out into a smile!
Atrin: Mimir, you've...whoa!
Atrin checks his Rotom Phone's Pokedex, looking at the new information for Reuniclus. As he does, Mimir again gives him a confident face.
Atrin: Let's do this! Psychic!
Mimir lets out psychic energy as his eyes glow, but the blast seems different this time. Stronger and more concentrated! He fires it at Lucario!

Atrin takes the other corner, using the items to heal up his team, recalling Mimir for now, and holding another Pokeball.
Atrin: Alright. I'm ready. Fleurir! Let's start off strong!
