(Kim continues to cry, until eventually, after about a minute, she finally calms down and pulls away from Ian, looking up at him and smiling.)

Kim: "Thank you, Ian... I needed that."

Me: -calmly- I'm here...

Kim: "I know you are. Thank you." (She looks over at Peechee.) "And now..."

(With that said, Peechee suddenly jumps up in and waves happily to Ian and Evelyn.)

Evelyn: Nice to meet you...

-Evelyn checks her Pokédex.-

Evelyn's Pokédex: Krabby, the River Crab Pokémon. A Water type. Krabby live on beaches, burrowed inside holes dug into the sand. On sandy beaches with little in the way of food, these Pokémon can be seen squabbling with each other over territory. Its pincers are not only powerful weapons, they are used for balance when walking sideways. If it senses danger approaching, it cloaks itself with bubbles from its mouth so it will look bigger. If it is unable to find food, it will absorb nutrients by swallowing a mouthful of sand. They sometimes break off during battle, but they grow back fast.

Evelyn: Also... droog? Sounds like [Russian] to me...

Kim: "Funny you should say that. Peechee speaks Nadsat, which is from [A Clockwork Orange] and is a mix of English, Russian, French and a bunch of other languages. 'Droog', for the record, means 'friend.'"

Peechee: <Oh, by the way, do you want to know where my eemya ^note  name comes from?>

Evelyn: -tilts her head confusedly- Um... Sure.

-Evelyn thinks to herself- First a Corphish speaking Newspeak, now a Krabby speaking Nadsat. Where does Kim find these Water Pokémon? and what's next?!

Peechee: <It comes from 'peecheen', which is that round veshch that you stick in a glass of moloko.>

Evelyn: "Moloko"? Sounds like milk to me. I know! You're named for a cookie!

Kim: (grins) "You win money; that's exactly what he's named for. Because Krabby. Be warned, though, he... gets crazy when battles are involved."

Me: I can tell.

Evelyn: Speaking of battle, shouldn't you be getting ready for your Gym Challenge?

Kim: "Ah, yes. My Gym Challenge. Don't worry, I still haven't forgotten about that. You have your Xtransciever set for recording, yes?"

Me: Always!

-Beat-

Me: Well... not always, because I sometimes need to make some calls.

Takcorian: Well it feels a little like this conversation's winding down sooooo... I guess we should go see about communing with the little muse or something.

Thievul: <I'm afraid I wasn't given a name by my handlers. Which is a pity; I heard that my handlers' employers named his Pokémon after the gods of his culture. Would be nice to get a name like that.>

Phineas: She's unnamed and wants to be named for a goddess since her trainers' boss gave his Pokémon names after mythological figures. Of course, I was never renamed by my trainer. Where'd you say your kingpin was from again?

Upton: We are not renaming you El.

Phineas: It's on-theme. Baal, Tanit, Astarte, Dagon—

The phone Phineas is on floats by each of the Pokéballs in Upton's belt as he says each name before settling near the Beast Ball.

Phineas: Moloch. You seemed to have covered all the [Phoenician] gods.

Upton: Might as well name yourself "Arceus" and wait for the real deal to erase you from existence.

Thievul: <Sphinx was said to be from a region now known as [Egypt].>

Phineas: The big criminal kingpin was into [Egyptian] myth. Might I suggest a figure from that culture. Say, the goddess of wisdom. Isis.

Upton: Wasn't there a TV show about a superhero with that name?

Thievul: <A goddess of wisdom and a superhero. Sounds good to me.>

Upton: All this talk of superheroes and rescues makes me wonder if you'd take this up a notch.

Phineas: Do you really think we should be encouraging this?

Upton: Shut up. You and the fam got rescued by Jess and her friends. I'd say we need more superhero types roaming the streets.

Phineas: Think of the startup costs! There's no way the likes of Vulpecula and those Ariados-themed fellas got where they were on the cheap. Crobatman was a bajillionaire for a reason. It's not like you can find superheroic backers floating around somewhere waiting for your résumé to appear on their desks.

Priscilla: That's good to hear. And speaking of which, recently, there's been a spike of young people with special abilities appearing in reports lately. There could be a huge talent pool of superpowered kids just twiddling their fingers waiting for something to do. Kinda like that Neon kid you had to turn down. They'll need a positive outlet—

Jess: Yeah, Isis sounds like a great name! Anyway, I don't really consider myself a superhero. I mostly just steal stolen stuff back and return them to their rightful owners. Maybe I should go into superheroics...

Jess: Hmm... I wonder if this thing would even work if your old trainer never really released you.

Phineas: Abandonment is a common thing among these smuggler types. They prefer to, 'ahem', "cut their losses" when they can't pick up their entire crew.

Isis: <As far as I'm concerned, they were going to abandon me sooner or later when their little heist went south.>

Phineas: It breaks no vow. Give it a try.

Upton: Always kinda sad to see Pokémon treated that way, ain't it?

Phineas: I remember all too well.

Upton: So. Stealing from thieves. Poetic.

Jess: Yeah, it's kinda sad. Okay, heads up!

-Jess carefully tosses the pokeball in Isis' direction.-

"Depends on the network we just hit," Bishop noted flying over to the stream. Observing it closely he started to inspect it, the stream was not the Hunters Encryption he was familiar with, it felt more like loose morals and mad science.

"Murphy you still have Pokefutures cracking apps do you not? I have a suspicion this network may be a Pokefutures net, if so we may have hit upon something big."
