A sensible-looking car parks by the grounds. It's... the press, or just vanilla and ginger Geo Soc journalist Jon Halliburton on assignment. Jean was invited, decided not to go, and gave his invitation to Jonathan.

He entered the house at Rue Macraul with the intention of sniffing out any criminal activity. This will be a daunting task: his main police contact is still in Unova. But that's never stopped him before.

He decided to dress in a suit and kept a fedora and overcoat on. Very creative, Jon.

-Meanwhile Izaya sees the waves heading for the implants-

Wanderer: -Blasts the door with a laser fired from his fingertip, freeing Henry- Let's go then.

Jonathan: The detective/spy get up was the easiest thing to wear without looking like an idiot; my boss did say no Dick Tracy business. So, you have any idea what's going on here? There appears to be something amiss with the Macraul family inviting the— oooh, liquor.

Jonathan orders a drink for himself

Jonathan: Why would they invite the J-Team, a loose organization of adventurers they claim to hate so much, and not have it be a trap? Anyway, what brings you here specifically? Where are my manners. Jonathan Halliburton, from the Geographic Society.

Halis: "So many people here, but I still feel oddly distant from them..."

They start shaking a bit.

Halis: "Ohh, and this place is too warm, too... why must you betray me, internal heating?"

It's clear that trying to layer two costumes on top of each-other doesn't work out terribly well, but they're still more nervous about showing their actual costume, so they keep their first one on in spite of the heating problem.

Macraulloween

-Mason smiles at the sound of Shaun's voice, and turns to greet him.-

Mason: Now, whyever would I do that? A poisoned drink is such a messy assassination method; were I so inclined to leave you lifeless, I think I'd much rather catch you by surprise in the night in secrecy.

-...that is one frighteningly good imitation of his voice.-

Kai: I love your costume, by the way. It's so pretty. And the Luma plush is an absolutely adorable touch~ I can't stop looking at it like, "I need that", y'know?

Cayenne: Oh, yes! Of course! I ended up hanging it using an old antique pendant. It might sound a little ramshackle, but I only just had the idea an hour before the party and didn't have time to make the trip out to find something new for it.

Kai: Hey, I can't fault you for being resourceful. What's the pendant, out of curiosity?

Cayenne: This old rusty locket that I haven't had the time to clean up, although luckily the rust doesn't rub off on anything for some reason. Which is fine, the orange color gives it a uniqueness of its own!

-Kai blinks-

Kai: ...May I see it?

Cayenne: Hmmm... Well, you are family. So sure, why not?

-She unzips a little zipper on the edge of the Luma plush, pulling out an oddly enticing orange locket.-

Kai: ...

-They almost reach for it, but pull their hand back, instead wiping a bead of sweat from their forehead.-

Kai: ...That's a... very curious thing you've gotten!

-Alyssa looks around.-

Alyssa: Hmm... You haven't seen Dew around, have you? I thought she was here with us.

Skye: -shrug- I dunno. Need her for something?

Alyssa: No, I'm just... wondering. I'm gonna go find her, see you in a bit?

Skye: Mmkay.

-Alyssa bends down and kisses Skye, who sorta rises to her tiptoes to receive it, before Alyssa heads off.-

Roxy turned around and saw a wooden door, she blinked and realized it said "Dr. D. D. Monde" on it, opening it tentatively they stepped into a office.

"Uh..."

<Is... Is this normal?>

-Luca and Gabrielle chuckle at this joke.-

Isbrand: "Kaiiseii. This is Lita. Lita, Kaiiseii."

-Kaiiseii bows, gesturing grandly with his right arm.-

-The dougnut slides off the spear arm and onto the floor.-

-Isbrand just sighs.-

-Naturally Pent is not having a freaking good time being beat up so heavily, he's not looking so good...-

Mobile Base, Cockpit

-Speaking of things not looking good, the sudden transfiguration of the cockpit staff has sent things into chaos. The guy on comms can no longer wear their headset, the weapons tech has accidentally melted the rubber on the aiming joystick and of course the person sitting at the jump drive console no longer has hands with which to fix this situation with-

-Lily Thane, currently an indeterminate pokemon, was trying to force the pilot out of the chair and get the ship moving again-

Lily Thane: <Pan!>

-The Magnemite shocks the console again and the ship lurches-

Mobile Base, Exterior

-The ship moves again as another wormhole manifests in it's path, drifting through at cruising speed-

-On the other side is a blank void, dotted with oh so many stars... Until a green light streaks past the windows, narrowly avoiding the vessel. The Mobile Base has entered this universe in the middle of a battle, only barely in the crossfire between two fleets... In space-

-Another beam fired from a triangular vessel flashes red light against the underside of the airship. This battle, this war, takes place amid the stars themselves... The downside of course is this means with each glancing hit the ship rocks and in the disaster that was the sudden pokemonification, noone in the cockpit has had the state of mind to turn on the gravity-

-Upside? This isn't a Mystery Dungeon universe-

Mobile Base, Breach

The Owl: Context changed. Adjusting

-The Scorbunny was gone, the futurekid was human again but in the adjustment she was left with an outfit consisting mostly of a long robe. With a moment of confusion she reached for her swords and instead found two small brass tubes in her hands. A flick of the wrist and a click of a switch and...-

~Vwoom~

-Crackling, unstable green blades of light blazed from the tubes-

The Girl: Oh-ho! I can work with this~!

-With lighter footsteps than normal, she started running to seek her quarry-

Mobile Base, Another Dimension

-Ian changes back from his Ralts form a little too quickly, leaving him somewhat dizzy-

Me: Ooooh... I feel really dizzy... Where are we now?

Mobile Base, Wanderer's Group

Wanderer: -Twitches- We've switched worlds again.

Calvin: -Checking his wrist- We seem to have entered a Star Wars universe, sir.

Wanderer: Neat, I haven't been to one of those in ages, Legends or New Canon, what era is it-The lack of gravity starts to kick in-

Alright everyone, you know the drill.

-The squad magnetizes their boots so that they can move a bit more properly-

Pikachu: -Just magnetizes himself-

Henry: -Still floats- <This is kinda annoying.>

Judith: -To Henry- I'm sure we can find something for you in this ship's armory.

Mobile Base, Wanderer Group

-Giselle magnetizes her own boots and uses her psychic powers to stabilize Trina-

Halsei remains exactly as-is due to the scarf keeping their form, though they do feel an urge to use lightning-based attacks more often. They then notice someone attacking Pent, and...

Halsei: <Fight someone on your own skill level, and don't look at me for that either!>

They immediately get closer with another use of Agility, made easier with the newfound lack of gravity, and try to blast Scratch with a full-power Thunder. Halsei is not happy with how things are going, especially since they were targeting Pent instead of Halsei.

Mobile Base - Hallways

-Isbrand lurches as she turns human, clad in a more futuristic version of her armor and with a much more streamlined, albeit less protective, prosthetic leg.-

-Einbite seems to have converted itself into a more appropriate form.-

   Shade   : <Where are we going?>

Isbrand: "Wherever the cockpit is. Come on."

-Isbrand flicks on her lightsaber and picks uo Shade, stabbing the laser blade into walls and propelling herself.-

Mobile Base - Pent

-Kaiiseii yips as he turns human, whipping his chainwhip out defensively while he scrambles for a Poké Ball.-

-Jessica focuses on defending herself.-

-Shaun smiles back, supressing laughter.-

Shaun: "A smile and laughter? My my, someone must like me."

-He looks around the room.-

Shaun: "I have half a mind to lead you away before Edelgard or Ferdinand von Aegir take you instead."

Mobile Base, Conference Room

Lance would attempt to attack again, only to realise he had turned back into a human before he could do so.

Lance: ...hm. Well that was weird.

He looked down, realising he hadn't landed. He then realised that he was now dressed as a Bounty Hunter◊.

Lance: Oh. Nice.
