Lita stares at Lissa for a bit. Though the future samurai looks better, she still has bags under her eyes. Slowly her mouth curls into a smile and she lets out a few short laughs, placing a hand on Lissa's chest, just above her heart.

"Ok. Goddess knows I need one."

Griffon: "His real name is Chris!"

"Quiet I say! I have told you, I am C, obscuric extraordinaire. If you don't wish to share that's fine, I'm just making conversation. Not much to do but talk in the middle of the badlands."

-Lissa looks slightly confused, but smiles back at Lita.-

Lissa: Sure sounds like you do.

-She takes Lita's hand in hers and starts making use of her uncanny ability to navigate to the nearest bar.-

Lissa: So, uh, can't really throw stones here, but... you look like shit. What's up?

Kalos Badlands

-The boy eases up somewhat.-

Boy: True. I apologise, I... these are uncharted waters for me, and I'm not sure who I can trust. I would rather get my bearings before I choose to start weighing anchor.

Duskull: ~Careful. I think you got your metaphors caught on something.~

Boy: Anyways, you mentioned something about a... renfaire? I suppose my ignorance of Kalosian culture is showing. I believe I know what you're referring to, I just didn't think they'd caught on here.

Lita squeezes Lissa's hand.

"It's been a month. Issy disappearing, multiple raids, my sword is a vampire now. Stuff like that. Oh wow you are good at finding bars."

"I was surprised to. I am hoping some real wizards to show up so they can teach me a few things.

Griffon: "Yeah this so-called 'obscuric extraordinaire' is real bad at his job."

... more Fwemblos? Colton asked himself, listening to the conversations that were being held by the newcomers. Hopefully they have a common goal...

Before the train of thought can be chased, he sees Astraea run further into the base.

"Should we follow?" He asked, and then the base rumbled under his feet.

Dark wisps started flaring around him.

-Lissa grins.-

Lissa: I have exactly two talents: finding bars and cute girls. You'd be surprised at how useful those skills are in my line of work.

-It would appear that she's been here before, as she's able to make a drinks order with only a glance at the bartender.-

Lissa: Anyway... your sword's a vampire? You're gonna have to catch me up, because I'm new to all this "vampire" stuff. Alice did say she was going out vampire hunting but, like, I figured she was being metaphorical. I mean, I'm not literally going carpet shopping when I disappear for an evening, so I thought it was the same kinda arrangement.

-The boy grins.-

Boy: Forget Obscura. I can show you real magic.

-He holds out his hand and a sphere of bluish-grey energy starts to form in his palm, crackling violently... until it vanishes in a small, equally violent explosion, leaving the boy shaking his hand - covered in scars from several evidently similar incidents - in pain.-

Boy: Aah, fu... functionally unstable. That's the point. If it were stable, you would never be able to inflict any real damage with it.

"Ok first thing, asdfghjk. That pun was awful. Second thing, I'm pretty new to the vampire stuff myself. But yeah, they're around. Thirdly, something happened to my sword during the fight with Carmilla and when I had it reforged by this Arthur guy it was a vampire now. I tested it and it drains a little vitality out of living things. The full extent of what this means I don't know. Oh yeah that Arthur guy was an immortal but not a vampire..."

She smirks at how Lissa orders a drink.

"I'm...gonna need scotch. Make it a double. As I said, it's been a month."

C cocked an eyebrow.

"Impressive. Now me."

He holds up his hand and starts straining.

"Just...give me a sec here."

Griffon: "Get your camera ready, kid, it's gonna be good."

Astraea stops dead in her tracks.

Ashe: <That... did not sound good.>

Agrias: <Behind me, both of you.>

Astraea: "Five bucks says that's my fault."

She backs up slowly.

"New plan. We stay here and prepare to fight whatever's causing that."

The Pawniard nods slowly.

Pawniard: <Agreed. We don't know what's further in the base and it's coming to us.>

Rowlett: <Well, I've heard worse plans.>

She flutters up to a cage for high ground.

The Manectric prepares to leap at anything that comes from further in the base.

TPAAW

Aurelius: ~Annoying.~

He bats a missile back at the robot with Psychic.

Vi dives for cover from the continued barrage.

-(yes, that's actually its name)-

-Lissa grins at Lita again.-

Lissa: Don't worry, that's exactly what's coming. It really has been a looong month. That said, mind explaining the logistics to me, at least as far as you understand them? 'Cause, like, Alice and Lucy both joked about being immortal, but... I'm pretty sure there's a big difference between what they were talking about and what we're talking about. I don't wanna think about the possibility that Isbrand's done something stupid we're gonna have to wrestle her out of, but we might hafta think about about it, if I'm reading the situation right.

-The boy cocks an eyebrow at Griffon and his trainer.-

Boy: Camera? Why on earth would I have a camera in my pack? I try to travel light.

Lita took her drink and downed it. She exhaled then looked back at Lissa.

"All I know, or can guess, is that whatever is going on with her is aura based. I'm just as in the dark as you are to be honest. I need another drink..."

Griffon: "You don't have a phone on ya kid? Oh wait, it's starting..."

The """"obscuric"""" managed to create a tiny marble of of Dark Obscura before collapsing onto the ground.

Griffon: "Now would be a good time to take money from his wallet."

Lissa: Okay, that's fair.

-The moment the two double scotches arrive, Lissa orders the same again with the same glance before turning back to Lita.-

Lissa: So, like... I'm no expert on Aura shit. I barely even knew I had mind powers before I lost them. But... honestly, at this point anything you can tell me helps. I didn't even think she knew who I was, I thought she was just breaking her rule about one-night stands 'cause she felt sorry for me. But then we shared a room for a while, and it was... fuck, man, I dunno. I don't know what we are or where we're going with this, but if she's in danger, then I need to know what I'm rescuing her from - if it's Cipher, or a vindictive ex, or just her own bad decisions. Whatever it is, though, I'm there.

Kalos Badlands

-The boy looks even more confused upon Griffon's remarks.-

Boy: A phone? Of course not! Why would I be lugging a phone about in the middle of the badlands? It's not as though I could wire it up to-

Duskull: ~Hey. Psst. I think we might've ended up further afield than you thought.~

-The boy pauses for a second, before his already pale complexion loses even more of its colour.-

Boy: ...Right. You're right. Tell me, ah... what's today's date? The full date, I mean, year and everything.

Lita nurses her fresh drink this time around.

"I...honestly I haven't known Isbrand for that long either. I thought that maybe I was a one night stand as well. I don't know what any of us are to each other, but I'd like to continue exploring and find out. She's at odds with herself, Lissa. She's going through things she might not understand. All I want to do is help her..."

Griffon: "uuuh, odd question but it's September 14th, 2019."

Canalave City, The Dive Bar

Lissa: Yeah, same here. Same fuckin' here.

-She takes a swig of her scotch and is quiet for a second - before breaking out into a sudden laugh.-

Lissa: ...Man, we're all kinds of fucked up, aren't we?

-The boy blinks, then blinks again, before seemingly regaining some of his composure.-

Boy: Aah, yes, I... I thought as much. I just wanted to be certain. In any case, we ought to be making our way to Lumiose. Come along, Omicron.

-The pair start making their way towards the city.-

Lissa: Couldn't ask for better.

-She finishes off her drink, then gives Lita a slightly tipsy grin.-

Lissa: So, ah... seems like that backup might take a while to get here, and I don't think I'm in any condition to start kicking down doors and rescuing Isbrand from whatever right now. We oughta wait for reinforcements. What say we get a room to hunker down in for a while~...?

"I guess we should. I mean, I wanna go now, but I also know that Issy is capable of handling herself. She did say to not look for her. I...just don't want her to feel like she can't turn to us, yknow?"

She sighed, then smiled.

-Lissa's smile takes on a slightly forced cast.-

Lissa: Oh, she can turn to us whenever she likes, that's not the issue. If she felt like she could, though... well, if that were the case, I don't think any of this would be happening. I don't think she's used to turning to people. That's not something wrong with her, it's just the way she is. Doesn't mean she can't turn to us. I'm here, after all. But then again... I dunno. I'm not good with words. Caring opens you up to being hurt, and some of us don't wanna be hurt again, is what I think I'm getting at.

-She sighs, but her expression relaxes as she takes Lita's hand and stands up.-

Lissa: ...Sorry. Didn't mean to be such a downer. I'm sure that once we get outta here and grab a couple of mimosas the mood'll liven right up.

-She heads out in the hope of doing just that.-

There was a pause from Obelisk, before he responded, he sounded a little insulted, "It wasn't too easy, I have been continuously working for the past year to crack the encryption wherever I can, the break that let me find this place was for 3 seconds, to me certainly with my nature, enough time, but to you, no time at all. This seems easy because this is truly a situation where Delta is unaware of us. Have faith in our abilities Commander, I have faith in yours and I don't just mean your mastery of disguise."

Silas gets up and cricks his neck a bit, "Good grief, seems we're going to have to sort out something else. Wayne, Tae, keep it up."

Then the rumbling happened.

Roxy stared at the Shinx and Pawniard, "Hey wanna get out of here?"

Jak: I apologise, I did not mean to cast aspersions on your competence. I was more referring to how Jackal discovered Delta's true identity to begin with - the fact that he outright admitted it. A surprising act of overconfident arrogance for a man who prides himself on his pragmatism... but then again, that may be the point. He's convinced he's untouchable, that the blood sports he fattens himself upon are merely an incidental side venture, so he believes he can taunt us openly. If that is the case, I hope to prove him wrong here.

Lilith comes out of nowhere and scoops up the Litwick.

The Litwick grumbles a little, but eventually relents.

Litwick: <.. I don't like it, but you're right.>

And with that Lilith follows the others further in... Until the rumbling starts.

Litwick: <What was that?>

Lilith: <I don't know, but be ready to fight.>

Meanwhile, Marco is still missing and Luc is looking around nervously.

Luc: He's been gone a pretty long while...

"Hhhh..." Daydre sends out Rowan, who uses Protect to block some stray missiles. Seeing what Tagg did, she gets an idea and whispers it in Azure's ear.

A second later the Primarina aims a Sparkling Aria with the intent to explode one of the missiles before the robot can shoot them too far.

TPAAW Raid

Doc: -Noting the new arrivals- <What do they mean by that?>

-While the other attacks don't really do much of note, including the Aura beam getting deflected with an arm swipe, the missile deflection combined with Azure's missile exploding causes more of the robots casing to crack. Sparking, it sends out one more laser barrage while also sweeping the area with lasers-
