-Somewhere in the halls, someone taps the Jackal on the shoulder. This, of course, would turn out to be Rogue.-

Rogue: Hey. This way, where there's no wandering eyes.

-They nod their head in the direction of one of the halls.-

Jackal nods and follows Rogue, whatever they needed to talk about, this had to be vital with how secretive it was.

Hacks broadcast to Jackal only, ~You prepared Silas?~

Jackal just gave him a look.

Mew-Shrew: <Oh, Lucius?>

-The girl is back behind the counter-

Girl: "Yeah, that might be a bit awkward considering the reason he's a Duskull is he died..."

Halis: <...Oh. Yeah, dying would, uh... do that...>

They feel awkward now.

Halis: <...Now I just feel rude for saying that or, heck, even implying it, really...>

And now there's a somewhat-sad Halis in the room.

Halis: <What was I even thinking with saying that? I'm sure his original mon form was way different, anyway... if anything, I'm surprised I wasn't one when I first became a mon...>

PEFE HQ, Kaiiseii's Module

Kaiiseii: "Alright so something different from the Oni armor. Probably no longcoat because that's your most identifying feature."

Shaun: "It's true but you shouldn't say it."

Kaiiseii: "Alright alright. Hey Naga, toss me my phone?"

-A hand appears from underneath a blanket on Kaiiseii's bed and does as requested.-

Kaiiseii: "We're gonna be here a while."

PEFE HQ, Labs

-A Piplup egg vibrates.-

-As soon as the two get away from anyone who might snoop in on them, Rogue turns to the Jackal.-

Rogue: All right. You were going to figure me out eventually anyway, so... I want you to promise, in unquestionable terms, that you will not reveal my identity to anyone except for those who already knew beforehand.

-They give Jackal a hard stare.-

Jackal and Hacks looked at Rogue, and then Jackal gripped his mask and took it off, "Of course, you want your identity kept secret-" he had a chesire grin, a rare feature for Silas, "-I promise I can keep it, Kai."

Erzatz Alliance

Girl: "It's not exactly a secret, just, probably not a good question to ask if he's feeling bummed or something. I have no idea what he was"

-Sadshrew is petted-

"You expected to be a ghost type?"

Rogue: ...Damn. I come all this way to do a dramatic reveal, and you steal my moment right before it happens.

-The faintest of smiles crosses their face, and they take off their mask and pull their hood down.-

Kai: So, yeah, it's me. And just to be clear, I am in fact the same person who wore the costume at the museum heist, not just a huge fan. Can't go around letting people have doubts, can I?

Banshee Base, Boss Arena - The Distant Past

-Gaia nods at Bishop as he heads out.-

Gaia: Good idea.

-She watches Rogue suspiciously as they leave, before placing a finger to her helmet to activate her comm unit. After a couple of minutes, she nods and turns to Fox.-

Gaia: ...Alright, I've informed my contact in Interpol, one Inspector O'Sullivan. He will be arriving with a recovery and retrieval team in a couple of hours, so we should try to make ourselves scarce before then.

-She glances over at Banshee.-

Gaia: I must say, you can colour me surprised. Anything you wish to confess now, or will that wait until we have gone over all your files with a fine-toothed comb?

Halis: <No, actually... I didn't know what to expect from this at first, since I was still getting introduced to all of this crazy stuff, but if I did it probably would've been, like, a Buneary or something. Alolan Sandshrew was probably, like, the last thing I would've thought of. I guess being in here with all of this happening... it just got me thinking about it for some reason. Iunno.>

Halis accepts the petting.

Halis: <Also, uh... thanks. For both that and listening to me ramble.>

Silas grinned, "Got it."

~Wow that really worked?~

"I had my suspicions so I had to pull a gambit."

~Okay so, you're the supergenius, mind filling me in on the details?~

"When I actually had the power to start thinking about this, I narrowed down the amount of J-Teamers with Dittos, Lati are rare but it's not uncommon for individuals to work with legendaries, especially frontier brains, add in the J-Teamer nature and the evidence started to pile up."

~Wow, that's less than I expected. Nothing about build or clothing, or tone and voice.~

"You know I'm bad with tone."

~I guess.~

Silas turned to Kai, "So museum heist huh? Joined up for this Raid to get some better PR to your title?"

~I can get that.~

Banshee, or rather, Miranda, remained unconscious, Fox stared a bit, "I might have hit her harder than expected... hopefully this won't be too much trouble. Jackal has recalled us, we'll meet up at the Elevator and get out. Presumably we'll debrief back on the ship."

Fox hefted Banshee over her shoulder and started walking out.

PEFE HQ, Kaiiseii's Room

Naganadel: "What abouf a Bulbfasau"

Shaun: "No."

Kaiiseii: "So, no coat but I can do a hooded cloak. That gives us...a very broad starting point."

-Naganadel rolls over and peels back the covers, revealing his very attractive humam form. Shaun stares at him for about ten seconds.-

Shaun: "I'm not sure how to feel about this."

Naganadel: "Mood."

-Shaun blinks and turns back to Kaiiseii.-

Naganadel: "What about a fursuit?"

Shaun: "NO"

Kai: Pretty much. Preferably, only until I can retire the mantle without it weighing down on my conscience.

-They pace a bit.-

Kai: I'm going to need some help with upgrades. Frankly, the costume Whiptail... "provided" me with is little more than a Halloween costume with a bit of fancy tech added. And I wasn't planning on putting it to use again after the heist, even if it wasn't the spectacular failure that it was, so when I got the message about this, I didn't exactly have time to put much effort into upgrading it, or figuring out better ways to conceal my identity while behind the mask. For one, I need a better mask, this shitty domino mask is embarrassingly ineffective.

-They face Silas again.-

Kai: Think we could work something out?

Erzatz Alliance

Girl: "Ah, that makes more sense."

-The pets are continued-

"It's fine, this kind of stuff is pretty much in my job description by now."

Silas and Hacks grin at each other, Silas lets out a laugh even, "Kai. The Jackal is becoming the arms dealer for vigilantes. I've got resources, tech, knowledge, and my own fabber and workshop on my ship, and with how active my damn brain is I've already got a bunch of new ideas."

~You're also J-Team and need help, Silas isn't the kind of guy to say no to that.~

"As for masks, well as you can see with mine and Roxy's, I've got that down. Suffice to say, we can work something out easily."

~I'm sensing a catch.~

"No catch Hacks, I figure Kai isn't just gonna stop joining us on future raids."

Hacks blinked, ~Future raids?~

"This one ran so smoothly with a team, I need to make use of that. Delta kicked my ass and broke it down how easy it was, I'm not gonna let that happen again."

Silas turned to Kai and extended a hand, "We can work something out easily, ey Rogue?"

Halis: <Well... caring about others is never a bad thing. If I ever end up in a position to help someone, I'm probably going to end up taking it, honestly... I am a bit curious, though, do you have any other unique abilities?>

They seem much more relaxed than before, and not as sad either.

Kai: Eventually, I would like to stop. I'm a very busy individual, after all.

-They re-mask themself.-

Rogue: But, while I still have a goal to work toward, you can definitely expect me to be a part of these.

-They start to head out, then pause.-

Rogue: ...Right. Mind following me outside? I'd like you to trust that I deleted the app, but would rather not do so until we're clear of security.

PEFE HQ, Kaiiseii's Module

-Shaun claps his hands together.-

Shaun: "Got it. Phantom. That's my name."

Kaiiseii: "That gives me some ideas. Listen, I'll draw up some designs for you."

-Shaun nods.-

Shaun: "Thanks. I'll be in the gym."

-He exits. Kaiiseii locates one of his good pencils and a sketchbook.-

Kaiiseii: "Hmm...I could sit at my desk, or..."

-He flops onto the bed and cuddles up in Naga's arms.-

PEFE HQ, Labs

Ace: <I can't believe it. I don't think the reality of the situation hit me until just now. We have a child.>

-Tsunami is silent as she watches the egg in her lap shake and crack.-

"Hacks and I have to reconnect with everyone else anyways," Silas said putting his mask back on, "I'm more or less the leader at this point."

~Yeah, plus we need to get everyone debriefed.~

"Also got a better name for the App. The Operative Pory System, or OPS. Works much better."

Hacks nodded and walked out, Jackal following.

Rogue: ...All right. See you later, then.

-And they're gone.-

Girl: "Well, I try to avoid bragging these days... But I could turn you into a Buneary for a bit? Or a girl, but there's not much point to that I think"

-Shrug-

"I tend to do stuff to myself more than other peoplemon, really"

Halis: <Hm... sure. Couldn't hurt, at least. Don't worry, though... I'd probably end up doing something similar if I was in your position. It seems like a fun ability to have, and I wouldn't blame you for bragging about it.>

They're just sitting there, not really doing much at the moment... seems like calming them down helped with their anxiety from before, at least for the time being.

Erzatz Alliance

Girl: "Well, it is kind of fun being able to be almost literally whatever I feel like... But I'm not sure I'd recommend it. There's a lot of responsibility too"

-With a pat, Halis is now a buneary-

"And it can take a surprising amount of practice getting used to different body types"

Halis: <Well... this is definitely different, yeah, I remember the first time I—>

They try to move a bit but end up falling over instead, their scarf covering more of them than it did before.

Halis: <Oof.>

They get back up, but just sit back down on the spot, using the now even-more-oversized scarf as a partial cushion.

Halis: <...As I was about to say, the first time I assumed mon form, I actually fell over... like that. Happened a few times after that, too. I can see why you'd say that. Of course... it probably won't stop me from thinking about the possibilities, anyway. Besides, as long as I'm doing something new, I don't mind at all. That's what life's about, right?>
