Jackie: Okay, so, I came back because Owain sorta got sent to this world at my point in the timeline rather than around this time period, and Kana heard stories about the whole Surtr business so we figured we should come back and help fight him. The reason we were aiming for the Battle of Lumiose was because he hadn't shown his ugly mug by that point, and we were hoping to give a warning about him. Apparently we're too late for that, because the Galvani-Morton boys messed up the target date for our time jump. So... here's your warning, I guess. That asshole's here.
Kai: Er, yeah. We are. I'm Kai, she's Brie. Why... exactly do you need us?
