Jean: You're in luck, then. Geographic is in our company's name. I'd love to give you a tour of the city, but I've to meet my niece downtown and check on my colleagues at the Gendarme. But this might help you.

Jean: The key to navigating the city is to look for the roads relative to the Prism Tower. Centuries ago, the nephew of our greatest Emperor had Lumiose planned to make her easier to navigate. From above, you'd see that the modern city is shaped like a wheel. The Lumi Cabs and Gruber drivers know the city well. It's nearly impossible to get lost.

He looks up toward the museum; it is a very impressive building, even if it's come to disrepair since the sting operation.

Jean: But it's not exactly a bad place to get lost.

Pokémon bioenergy, the same AZ used in the Ultimate Weapon, but humans have it too, in much smaller amounts. Neo-Flare's head scientist came up with these devices called Infinity Balls that can power up mons and force Mega Evolution, and these Infinity Rings that can create what I can only really describe as fake Aurics in humans.

The Balls in particular create a dependence on Infinity Energy that proves fatal if destroyed. We needed to capture said scientist to stop those things being made, but having the J-Team directly attack Neo-Flare would have... deleterious consequences for both us and our loved ones, so I chose to handle things in a sideways manner.

That is, I had some people generally not associated with our group raid one of their bases in northwestern Unova and steal the scientist and their assistant away from them almost a year ago. We actually have them stored here, working on ways to fix what they've created, since the HQ's basically the safest place on Earth I can think of that Constantin cannot reach.

The only people who know about this are them, Sol, our Interpol contacts, and now you. You can't tell any of the others about this until Neo-Flare is too weakened to attempt any reprisals, the risk is too great of word somehow getting to Neo-Flare's spies.

Lumiose Hospital

-The TV set in Shun's ward is currently playing the news, as are most TV sets and Holo-Casters across the region that haven't been tuned to something else.-

Newscaster: ...and in local news, a jewellery heist at the National History Museum here in Lumiose last night was foiled by the efforts of the International Police after a dramatic confrontation within its newly-opened exhibition, "The Wealth of the Region". The thief known as "Whiptail" is believed to be behind the attempt, and at least one arrest has been made. Investigations are still ongoing, but the museum has announced its intention to reopen on Monday despite this apparent breach of security. Eyewitnesses are encouraged to come forward with any information that may be of interest to investigators.

-From his hospital bed, Shun sighs.-

Shun: And I should be one of those investigators, but here we are.

JD laughs a bit, "Well if you go here often enough, you're bound to get acquainted with emergency services. As for that News Broadcast, it hasn't mentioned the fact that the one we caught has been released by a terminally lame individual."

Shun's phone would bleep and on it would be a picture of Mr. Smith.

"Honestly Shun, you could dress up in the tackiest disco outfit that screams "I'm from the 70s and love glitter" and you'd still be cooler than that asshole."

JD shook his head in disappointment, "My distaste aside, it means the investigation has hit another dead end, we had something and then lost it, I'm seriously considering taking up Clever on his offer."

Clever gasped and had a elated smile, "I'M NOT GOING TO ASSHOLE!"

"Spoil sport," Clever responded.

JD rolled his eyes and turned back to Shun, "But we did take a beating, my body may be more durable than a human's, but recent changes I made to do police work have rendered me more vulnerable to attacks to better balance my systems. So if my skin goes, so does most of my protection, and you seem to take punishment like the universe has it out for you. So next time I say we stop playing nice, and start preparing for more "interference." What do you say?"

Shun: First off, dressing up in such a glittery outfit would be terminally cool, and far cooler than whoever that is. Secondly, released? How in the world did that end up happening?

-He sits up and lightens up as he evaluates JD's comments, pushing the picture of Mr Smith aside in an effort to focus.-

Shun: ...Regardless, I'm glad to see that you're okay. I'll make sure that our next assignment is less strenuous, something more your speed. Whatever the case, we'll be more prepared for next time.
