Colton winced at the sight of the burn wounds. He looked around the room in nervousness, which he disguised by picking up the Exploding Skitties box when he laid eyes on it.

“Not human anymore?” Colton parroted. “That’s a new one on me. I mean, there’s not human by choice, not human most of the time, and not human initially. But not human anymore? That’s a new one on me.

“Forgive the comparison, but you look like a Rayquaza gijinka that’s been in wars,” Colton compared, quickly holding his breath afterwards.

“That would do it.” Colton summarized, after he recovered his breath again. “Don’t worry, the secret’s safe with me. Unless the rest of the J-Team already knows,” he amended.

“Don’t worry. I’m not gonna ask you to show me to satisfy my curiosity,” he defended. “I’m just going to assume “morally compromised scientists”,” he figured, nervously fiddling with his Sun Stone necklace and inadvertently removing it from under the shirt.

Why he had it was likely a mystery as it didn’t seem to do anything.

-the collected Phantom Force members murmur at the prospect of a newbie-

-Pulls her sword out of nowhere-

-Onabarrak nods.-

-He stands up straight.-

-Duolis' eyes glow red and she slashes Onbarrak-

-Femata steps back to watch the magic happen. Onabarrak winces as the sword strikes, and would grit his teeth if he had them.-

-And then he transforms. Where a small Golett once stood, instead stands a grown man in jade colored, [Japanese] style armor. He immediately takes a knee before Duolis, head bowed.-

Human!Onabarrak: Thank you, Duolis. It certainly has been quite some time...

-He removes his helmet, letting a cascade of brown hair fall, and he looks up.-

-It's a familiar sight, as the man standing before her is the same one that her own husband had waged war against six centuries ago.-

-He gives her a killer grin only matched by his modern-day descendant.-

-She releases her grip and directs her gaze away from Janet.-

-Duolis stares at him in utter, utterly flabbergasted shock before breaking into a similar grin-

Duolis: Do tell me you're going to suprise him. And Lina of course.

-The other present Phantom Force members are mostly confused and I'll just establish now Styx is missing in addition to Odin because hoo boy-

Vyvyan: Yeah, they know of us. We have our runabouts and such.

Bridget: Maybe not everyone knows but at least the people who matter do~

As Janet is dropped on the floor, she gasps for air.

Janet: ...

Her Herdier instinctively walks over to her and cuddles her, though Janet still seems unwilling to move. Whether it's due to shock, momentarily recuperating or attempting to reach out to Shard.

Human!Onabarrak Kaius: Oh, of course. Is that not what ghosts do, scare the living?

-He smirks, and with a bit of focus, reverts to Golett form.-

Onabarrak: <It really is wonderful to see you again, Duolis, especially now that we're not on opposite sides of a war.>

-Shard looks down at Janet, and for a moment there is a hint of hesitation in the voice filtered by her mask.-

Shard: ...Don't want to hurt you. Just leave. Nothing for you here.

Janet quickly grabs the box of earphones and hurries out of Shard's view with her Herdier, leading the broken mug and spilled coffee unattended to.

“Yeah,” Colton said weakly, rubbing the back of his head with his left hand. “But I’m a more recent... recruit. Halloween at latest,” he recalled.

“Something’s been nagging at me. Your Gardevoir. Is she captured, another roommate like Sandy and Levi or...?” He pressed.

-Shard watches Janet go for a moment, then picks up the remains of the coffee cup and tries to read the writing on it, letting out a hissing sign as she does.-

-Then she gets back to lurking.-

Onabarrak: <Way back. Say, are those two here right now?>

Femata: <He was still holding the surprise back in February, seeing as there were more important family matters to worry about than surprising Lina with being alive. So to speak.>

Shutter: I'm pretty sure the Clavis is the mightyena and Best Berry's progenitor is the Fearow. As for why they're even involved, that may be because they just wanted that tract of land to the east to grow avocados.
Tommy: Isn't Angela almost entirely run by corporations?
Shutter: That explains... quite a lot actually. After being ruled by a corporation, they'd rather give its remains to a nonprofit rather than have it taken over by a bunch of corporations who intend to do the exact same thing.
