-Kai rubs her neck-

Kai: For me, I got stuck in Sinnoh when Annoski hit six years back. I just happened to be close enough to the J-Team when they finished him off that I was persuaded to come along afterward.

-ZP thinks for a bit-

Zoroark Purple: <Hmm... if any opportunity's gonna present itself for us to make a scene, so to speak, that might be it. Who all's gonna need to make a side trip for personal belongings, though?>

Kai: Tell me about it. It was... rough. Eugh. But, that said, me getting dragged into this whole J-Team mess led to me meeting some really cool people, and me coming out and all that, so in general, I think it's been a net positive. Just a weird life to live.

-She grins.-

First Performance Round

Emcee: And while that was a stunning performance by Jiro from Mahogany town and his Glalie, the ice they have left on the floor has caused them to take a massive hit to their score! And with the tally in from the judges, there is now way for them to progress to the next round!

-There is a polite applause and murmurs throughout the crowd-

Emcee: BUT! In this moment of defeat is glimmer of hope for our next Coordinator hand their partner as they will get extra points for having to perform under less than ideal conditions!

Backstage

-Jiro smirks at Ren as he and his Glalie pass Ren and Erik.-

Jiro: Shame I can't win this year, but I can ensure you don't either, you pampered rich boy. This is payback for three years ago.

Ren: -not even looking at Jiro, but the ice on the stage- You underestimate me. And you let your personal feeling make a mockery of the scared traditions of the theater. -grinning with triumph- But as they say...

Emcee: And now or next performance shall be from a pair that needs not introduction! Give a big hand for Renard Clavis of Goldenrod and his Gallade, Erik!

Ren: The show must go on!

-Ren dashes and slides into the arena using his mega to break him momentum and to swing him self into a standing position.-

-The Crowd goes wild.-

-Jiro and his Glalie just gape.-

Ren: Erik! Leave everyone in the dome stunned with your coolness! Let the show really begin!

Erik: <This shall be one for the books!>

-Erik begins to run out from back stage using his extended arm blades for balance. With a theatrical swing of his arms Ren holds his Mega Cane vertically with his left hand while pressing his right palm to his Key Stone. As the key stone begins to gleam, Ren raises his cane aloft.-

Erik's Galladite is reacting to Ren's Mega Cane!

-As the crystal refracts and reflects the light from the Key Stone, Erik is surrounded by a spherical cocoon of dark grey energy. After a brief moment, the cocoon shatters.-

-Emerging from the sphere, red blade-like plates emerge on Erik's arms, and new helmet and cape-like protrusions on his head and back give him a knightly appearance. His upper body has becomes white, and the spikes on his head elongated.-

Erik has Mega Evolved into Mega Gallade!

-Erik, his cape billowing behind him, dashes to the center of the arena his extended arm blades, which shine with psychic light. The very second reaches the center of the arena, the Mega Gallade back-flipped while spinning in the air and the circular movement causing his cape to wrap around him like a cocoon. Suddenly eight blades of psychic energy fly out in perfectly spaced intervals, carving perfectly straight lines into the ice, and exploding sideways, creating an octagonal carving in the ice. But it doesn't end there, As Erik begins to descend he extends his right leg as a crescent blade of psychic energy manifest on his foot.

-*SHUCKAWOBOOOLSHHH!*-

-The impact of the falling Psycho Cut sends the eight pieces of ice flying.-

Ren: Big finish!

-Erik let's out a yell as he slices through the air with his blades, sending countless miniature blades of psychic energy, reducing the ice slabs into a snow flurry that harmlessly falls on the audience. In the center of the arena kneeling before the spectators to hide his exhaustion is a glowing Erik as he reverts to his normal form.-

-The crowd goes insane.-

Emcee: ... ... AND THE CROWD GOES WILD! Ummm... Bravo Erik and Mr. Clavis! What a performance! ... ... And I now have confirmation that Mr. Clavis has succeeded in progressing to the next round of performances!

-More cheers as Ren applauds Erik as he approaches the Gallade and gives a brief bow before recalling Erik and trots backstage.-

Ren: That's for the setup. I was worried I'd have to take the damage penalty.

-Ren leaves Jiro to fume.-
