Shade pulls out some candy and tosses it to the Lapras before standing up. He offers his hand to Maria. Now how about we find your brother. After all, misery loves company."
Shade smiles warmly at Maria, hoping she will take the bait to help ease her mind of her troubles.

Shade places the paper next to Maria.

Shade smiles, and walks off in the distance, only to disappear into the shadows. While this is happening, he is listening to this on his headphones.

-The inside of the building is tinted dark green, as all the windows are covered in the green decorations and not as much light is shining in. It would be near impossible to make out the entrance hallway through the darkness if it wasn't for the light shining from the now open front door. Light from the room at the other end of the hallway is also visible through the door's cracks.-

Shade chuckles quietly.
"I have spent many years trying to figure out women. I have found out that the answer to that is why try."
Shade ponders for a moment.
"I have had three previous relationships. All of them with their own difficulties. One of them involved long distance. I know it's hard. However I fought to keep it going. I loved her. So I thought is this a love worth fighting for. I thought so, but she finally got to the point where I had to let her go. It was causing her too much stress to keep it going. I guess the best way to say it is, I loved her enough to let her go."
Shade sighs with a tear falling down his cheek.
"As far as your brother is concerned, give him time. I'm sure he will come back as soon as he's ready. I'm sorry I can't be any more help in the matter."
Shade turns to the water and sees a Lapras with its child, teaching it how to sing a song.
