-He starts sprinting in the direction Gamma indicated earlier as fast as he can, his team following behind.-

Mortimer: "Indeed. But that is not important at this point in time. What is important is whether or not you will survive this. If you desire to join me, and continue doing what you love, you would best do it now."

Chirin: <Watch how our prey quivers...>

Ghostus: <WHY DIDN'T YOU LET ME USE THUNDERBOLT?>

Crow: "We might need to use Mean Look."

-The three follow the others-

Cipher Key Lair

-Straw and co. continue through the eerily empty Cipher Key Lair's B 1 F. Eventually they come upon stairs leading up, and further up to the second level. They're greeted by two Peons and a Commander, with a Vileplume, Azumarill, and Ninetales respectively-

Commander:You lost, boy? Ninetales, Fire Blast!

-The Ninetales launches its attack, with the Peons' Vileplume using Giga Drain and the Azumarill using Hydro Pump-

Dodge and attack!

-Naida maneuvers out of the way of the Giga drain, but ends up right in the path of the Fire Blast. Aurora manages to get a Psyshock off that hits the Vileplume, knocking it over. Artemis lunges at the Ninetales with Night Slash, catching it off guard. Meanwhile, Crescent takes the full force of the Hydro Pump, and retaliates with Payback, OHK Oing the Azumarill-

Commander:Crap...this isn't looking g— GAH!

-The Commander and Peons are Iron tailed out the nearby window, hitting the bottom floor-

Naida:<They really needed to shut up.>

-The proceed, only to find Jet moving quickly down the hall, and up the stairs to the last floor before the top-

JET!

-Straw jumps off Naida, and gives chase, Artemis and Straw's mons with feet following him-

Naida:<Oh, that's cool. Just leave the Milotic here.>

-she slithers after them, though at a slower pace-

Operations HQ

Verax: ".... Okay. ... Thanks Ivy. I'm... I'll just... go. Now." -Turns around and heads into an elevator, then...-

Operations HQ - Helipad #1

Verax: -Walks out to find...-

Jacob: "You."

Verax: "...."

"Out of my way."

Jacob: "So you can escape and cause more suffering, no thanks."

-the backpack lands at the side of the canyon, while Merle and Breeze reappear near the dragons-

-there is then a muffled explosion from within the bag-

Everyone! Get to the top of the canyon, now!

-Every's mons begin doing so, Marmalade grabbing Breeze and Merle...-

-and Every's backpack explodes-

-Every's backpack being somewhat magical in nature, this explosion is decidedly unusual. Of particular note, the amount of rubble produced is far more than should theoretically be held within the backpack-

Damn...there goes most of my stuff...

-as the slight residual distortion fades, Muninn rises out of the wreckage-

Muninn: (calmly) <I think it's time we ended this little game.>

-before Every can respond, Muninn's eyes glow. Despite the lack of any physical attack, Every screams and crumples to the ground, clutching his head-

Muninn: <Any final words?>

Muninn: <Go on, get it out...>

Muninn: <I really don't have all day. If you can't finish your sentences, I'll just kill you now.>

Meanwhile

Salamence: <Did he say it?>

-the glow in Muninn's eyes intensifies-

-and a series of stone spears, molded by Stone Edge, heated by twin Flamethrowers, charged with no small amount of obscura, and accelerated to dangerous speeds by Psychic slam into Muninn from above-

-Slams Chrome with a Quake Punch that sends him staggering back-

-Sends out Ursula-

-Tries to Hydro Pump, only for Odin to dodge and continue pummeling Chrome. -

-Herbert looks back at Duke, then at the blade in his hands as he continues sprinting.-

Herbert: ...But I'm going to get to that point at least once today, before all of this can come to an end. I'm not letting him get away this time.

-He keeps running until he comes to the location which Gamma indicated.-

By a lava flow, which makes me wonder why someone would be so stupid as to do that.

The group then runs into Alexiel, who upon seeing them starts clapping

"Bravo! Quite the performance you all pulled today, you're great actors!" he said, cheerfully.

"You..." said Lyuri, shaking with anger

"Anyway, I must thank you for all your help! You certainly made things a lot easier for me for dealing with Cipher after I had no reason to keep working here. Your help is quite appreciated, in fact!" said Alexiel

-Joseph is still pointing at various mons, and various members of his team attack them-

-Lady, in particular, is attacking efficiently and mercilessly-
