First off, hell yeah Suzie Yeung! Second, whoa, is this the first SNK fighter to get an English dub since the Maximum Impact series?
It's so good to see Tizoc again.

Bleye knows Sabers.A lack of a Joe legacy was something in the first Garou, really. Interesting way to bring that concept back.

RIP to a legend.
Brolylegs isn't just a pro SF player, he had a condition where he couldn't use his limbs to play video games so he played video games with his face. And he still became one of the best players in Street Fighter 4.
Genuine legend, heartbreaking to see him pass.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughI wonder if he called himself Brolylegs as an ironic joke.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.He was noted as having a sense of humor, so its very likely.
If you can't handle being outed by a signature, that's on you.Per the leaker from before, we’ll be getting the reveal of the new Virtua Fighter later this year.
I watched the first 3 John Wick movies a month or so ago, and just now I watched chapter 4 (literally one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen, every frame truly was a painting).
My takeaway is that this franchise could totally work for a fighting game. 2.5D, like Tekken, but every character has a gun. The moves could be taken straight from the fight choreography, Wick would be a combination zoner/grappler.

I've always wanted to see Wick in Mortal Kombat, but apparently Keaneu himself doesn't.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonJack Cayman from Madworld was always my want, even though his series is basically dead due to the flopping of Anarchy Reigns.
Watch SymphogearThat was a really interesting video. The Lord of the Rings game especially is such a ridiculous concept that I kinda want to see a high-budget official one. The actual series leaning so heavily into the "War is a Necessary Hell" theme makes the concept of a fighting game clash hilariously hard.

x5 I'm not sure if you're aware, but Tekken is very much not 2.5D.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.I thought it was? I thought 2.5D referred to when the 3D space can be interacted with, but most of the action still takes place in a 2D plane. Like, 2D is stuff like Street Fighter and 2.5D is Tekken or Soul Calibur. 3D is, like, Demon Slayer or Pokken's Field Mode, games where the action actually takes place on a 3D plane.
I believe 2.5d is used to classify 2d fighters with 3d graphics, i.e. Street Fighter 6 and Guilty Gear Strive. Tekken is considered a 3d fighting game.
This Troper is a CERTIFIED cool guy (by the Agency of Self-certification Standards)In general 2.5D refers to games that use 3D graphics instead of sprites but the gameplay is entirely confined within 2D space. So that does apply more to most modern 2D fighting games like Street Fighter, whereas games like Tekken and SoulCalibur make heavy use of the 3D space even if the camera mostly keeps to a side view. It's always been common to refer to those games as 3D fighters. Games like Pokken or the various anime fighters like DBZ Tenkaichi are generally called arena fighters. You could consider those separate from standard 3D fighters as platforms fighters like Smash Bros. are separate from standard 2D fighters, hence being given their own genre names.
Okay, I understand the logic in that definition, but I don't agree with it. 2D, 2.5D, and 3D shouldn't be terms referring to the artstyle of the game, it should refer to the actual style of gameplay. By the logic of artstyle, there aren't any 2D fighting games released anymore, it's a dead genre. The most you get is indie titles, all 2D fighting games use 3D animation, the term is meaningless nowadays.

I could've sworn that Guilty Gear still uses sprites. If so, that's a 2D fighting series.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Guilty Gear Strive is 3D animation that is stylized to look 2D, just like Dragon Ball Fighterz.
Well yeah. 2.5D only refers to artstyle, not gameplay. At least as most people use it. People generally just call Street Fighter and the like 2D fighters even if they use 3D models, just like people would generally refer to something like Super Mario Bros Wonder as a 2D platformer. People only really use 2.5D if they for some reason need to specify the graphical style.
Nice gameplay show off, but I would have liked them showing another character aside from Terry and Rock.
