personally, i dont think the serious ending actually fits with the boss.
i mean, im pretty sure it would be the first time the boss ever outright abandoned a high ranking member of the saints. that didnt betray her i mean.
the saints seem to be her morality chain and one of the few things consistant in all 3 games is that she obviously cares...
so why would she abandon them for street cred? you can get that after you save them >_>
I think the serious ending (which is far more badass and is the better ending to me) makes perfect sense with the character arc in Saints Row 2. SR 2 clearly shows the boss getting crazier and power hungry and just demanding more regardless of the cost (the secret mission is a great example of this). Having them get so power hungry that they'd even abandon one of their own makes sense to me.
Did I mention it's really badass?
The the problem I have with he serious ending is admitting to becoming a corporate whore.
On te other hand, that does basically mean the Saints are no longer a gang that hurts people that don't necessarily deserve it, or something. And that's a pretty happy ending.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twitter...i can see why people would dislike angel.
um, why does he think i cant kill killbane?
i mean come on, he's a wrestler not a monster, guns are really all thats needed jeez.
Angel is stuck in a wrestling match mindset. It didn't occur to him that the Boss might wanna just shoot Killbane in the back instead of challenging him fair and square.
ah.
is it just me or is the boss playing only sane man this time around?
she seems a lot more...offput by the eccentricity than in 2.
I first chose the derpy ending, mainly because of Burt Reynolds being too awesome to let die. I hated Shaundi though, so I was perfectly okay with the Killbane ending. I just wish the gangs in this game actually felt like a threat. The Deckers might of, but all they do is crash a helicopter.
I never quite understood why the Boss was so surprised with Insurance Fraud, despite the insanity in 2. Were all those side missions non-canon?

Holy Grail, huh? Cool story, bro.Kinda. One problem IMO with the tone of SR 3 is that the world is wacky and over the top, while the player character is more serious. As Shamus Young put it, "I don't want to be Tony Soprano, running amok in Gotham City. I want to be the Joker invading Tony Soprano's New Jersey."

Play as a saucy Latina and she gets pretty silly at times.
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterSo do all the other ones, more so than the others. The zombie voice option stands out in my mind.
Xbox version of SR 2 works really well. Not a lot of crashes on my machine and it is basically Frankenstein's Monster in consumer electronics form.
SR 2 on PC has gentlemen of the Row which adds a lot of tweaks and outfits and general UI improvements.
what outfits did it add specifically?
i could never tell which ones were new.
http://idolninja.com/sr2.php has info on the mod.
well i do love more outfits
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twitterhuh. so i finally got a gamepad to plug into saints row 3
only the analog sticks are weird in this game.
up and down act as left and right and left acts as forward with right not doing anything
same applies to driving controls, except for the left acting as forward part.
any idea whats going on? the gamepad works fine for other games.
The PC version of Saints Row 2 is fixable. That mod site that was linked even has a link to a FAQ made by the same person that will help you fix almost all the problems the PC version has.
I've spent the past couple of weeks playing this nonstop. I completed story, took over all the hoods, and there's nothing left to do, and I feel so drained.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I moved on to SR 2. I still feel like there aren't enough clothes, but I am glad that they have cocktail dresses.
What I would do for a v-neck and a women's peacoat, though.
edit: guys guys, holy shit
guys
guys
garrus is in SR 2.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterI played a bit of Saints Row 3, but never the whole thing, unfortunately. I got up to trying to deal with the Deckers, I think?
Well, I beat Saints Row 1...which was pretty hard imo.

"The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding bureaucracy."Who does Brandon Keener play?
It's not over. Not yet.Tobias I think. He's that stoner helicopter pilot iirc.
I finished with the silly ending, and I'm glad because I saw that the laser rifle sucks ass even when fully upgraded.
