The inception connection does not link in any way shape or form to "Deep" or "Dreams."

Then, how about "kicks"?
Do you think someone else (other than Pyrite) will ask something?
Probably not. And kicks? I ... have no idea what that has to do with anything.
You know, I hope people are familiar with the Inception meme here, because otherwise, this round is entirely impossible-
START ASKING QUESTIONS PEOPLE! IT'S NOT HARD! What happens when you think about Inception and Russia using Jeff Goldbloom logic?

"Kicks" was how they called the things they did, like the explosion and the falling car, to wake up while they were dreaming.
I'm familiar with it, but I can't really think of something that makes sense.
Would googling "Russian Inception" help? Is the song sung by a band? Is the singer female?
You're not asking questions about previous questions!!!
Googling "Russian Inception" did not turn up anything related to the song or anime, so I can't really recommend it.
It is done by a band of some sort, with a non-female singer.
MORE CRYPTIC BONUS HINTS: This ain' no avi that's for sure.

is the song the opening/ending song of a Show Within a Show? If it isn't, does the anime feature a Show Within a Show?
Other than that, I've got nothing.

The Inception meme does not refer to a Show within a Show.
It occurs to me, this round may require more general knowledge than most people have, so we're relaxing the special rules. Feel free to ask general questions about the song and anime from this point forwards.
Russia, Inception, WTF. (I've always prided myself on my general knowledge, but this is a little out of my league.)
Is it from Hetalia? *rolls eyes*
Does any character have a pimped-out ride (or something which could be considered a Cool Car)?
Does the anime have a Meta Mecha, because Yo Dawg I heard you like Mecha so we put a Mecha in your Mecha so you can pilot while you pilot?
(There's a point to this. I think.)
Not a pimped out ride.
No mecha of any sort. Well, I guess one of the mons is kind of like a mecha. But it's really more of a robot.
I'm going to go back to watching my anime. Though, they're all in the wrong file formats. They're .avi! That ain't right.
I've edited one of my previous posts for one last additional hint.
BTW: For the purposes of this hint, the Yo Dawg and Inception memes really are equivalent. It's the "X within an X" meme.

Is the song a song within song?* So you can sing while you sing
Is the anime a Long Runner? Does it have more than one season?
edited 13th Apr '12 11:04:27 PM by shark33
Is the song the OP? Is it an adaption? did the anime start after 2005?
(And the generic questions return.)
So... is it The Biggest Dreamer?
If it isn't, is it from the Digimon franchise? The Pokemon franchise?
The song is the OP.
The song is not a song within the song. Think about the hints in relation to the other hints.
The anime is <= 12 episodes long, so it surely ain't a long runner.
It is not related to Pokemon or Digimon. In fact, you've probably never even heard of it.
You may have seen bits and pieces of it here and there though.
It aired after 2005-which is pretty important since part of the plot is an allegory to events that have occurred since then!
It is NOT an adaptation!

Hey, you forgot Zfish's questions.
Did it air on TV Tokyo or Fuji TV? TBS or AT-X?
Does it take place 20 Minutes into the Future?
Can we get a list?
Lists are for pussies!
It's not set 20 minutes into the future.
-Jeff Goldblum logic applies to the main hint
-Leonardo Decaprio Inception meme (aka X within an X: X Ception) applies to the main hint
-Someone mentioned a Russian bar.
-I keep calling people baka ningyo and referring to file formats.
-There's a lot of general knowledge going on. ALL of the hints I've given that aren't on demand are referring to the song.
-It aired on either Tokyo TV or Fuji TV.
-The anime has mons, but it's not pokemon or digimon. And there are no mecha in the series, though one of the mons is kind of like a mini-mecha. But not really.
-The show has aired since 2005, and even has events that wouldn't particularly make much sense if it aired earlier.

Is it "Yuusha-Oh Tanjou! -Grand Glorious Gathering Version-" ?
edited 14th Apr '12 9:39:57 AM by Tenzen12
Not even close.
You know, I gave up trying to figure out the hint a while ago. Nothing even comes to mind going off of Russian Inception.
Did it air on TV Tokyo?
A short Mons series which aired after 2005? I can only think of one like that. I'n not sure if it qualifies as 20 Minutes into the Future, though that trope isn't listed on its page.
Is it Matoryoshika?

Flygon got it.
A Doll within a doll (hence my comments about "BAKA NINGYO!"). Also, the namesake for .mkv (hence my references to avi).

And they are Russian.
Hint: One too many?
Bonus hint:One of Pyrite's round titles will also provide a hint for this round.
I'm really disappointed that that round basically was won because of just brute forcing it based on anime knowledge, rather than anything having to do with the hints ;P
Sci-fi / fantasy?
Slice of Life / Romance?
Mystery / action?
Hints are usualy supposed be helpful, not make it more difficult...
