Bob's Burgers

It's better than Family Guy and The Simpsons, overall. I think that's more than enough.

Does anyone else feel the dialogue and some of the back-and-forths are reminiscent of Home Movies?(though I doubt BB is improvised like HM was)

Bob's Burgers is less improvised, but it's still there.

@hcobb: Bob has Two and a half daughters? I thought he only had Louise and Tina and a son Gene?

Gene goes back and fourth between Tomboy and Girly Girl so counts as half a daughter.

So I just saw the one about the gold in the taffy factory. Hilarious.

I love the closing song on that episode.

Taffy but? It's based on Cindi Lauper's Good Enough, so yeah it's good!

Are there any other current animated family shows where the dad is the designated straight guy? (Dig at son intentional here, but Gene is far far from alone in this. Which helps his chances in crossover fics I suppose.)

Hank from King of the hill?

KOTH has been dead for four years, and Stan Smith drives a lot of the zany on his show.

Could you imagine a "rubbernecking" plot WRT Bob? Most of Bob's "infidelities" are because Linda asked him to.

At the same time, Stan's also the Designated Villain at times. The others aren't always better than he is. And Roger, he's in a class of his own.

Yeah, Bob's much more of a Hank Hill.

Now, when will we ever have a full flashback to Big Bob's Diner?

I'd like more development on Bob's fear of working in business. That was fascinating.

That was a fantastic episode

She finally had to do it. She went and admitted that she loved her family. The show is ruined.

My father is sad how they tried to destroy the carousel.

How did Bob destroy the town?

By being henpecked and wishy washy of course.

Look for the key scene (pun intended) in the credits of the finale.

I would watch some episodes because I've had good things about it on an old forum, but the look really puts me off. So ugly

It's a greasy look for a show about the ungainly daughter of a hamburger cook. If you ain't a fan of comedy based on Failure Is the Only Option then this ain't the show for you.

This show is the flip side of Phineas And Ferb. Two parents who run an unsuccessful business while the eldest daughter fails at romance and gets dragged into the zany adventures of her two younger siblings. Which means I'm contractually obligated to ship Tina/Tammy? Naw, too easy.
