I found it refreshing to read something that's proud to be utterly ridiculous.
It's adorable.
Yeesss. It's just profoundly silly without trying to go into forced Beyond the Impossible territory.
Indeed, in both the art style and storytelling. It's like one big homage to cartoons, newspaper comics, and manga of yesteryear.

One other point of appeal for me is that it's reminiscent of Slayers to a certain extent.
I've been meaning to read this for a while, and the OP pushed me to actually do it.
I got instantly hooked. It's incredibly silly, but/and (depending on whether you think silliness is a bad thing or not), the humour and art style are impeccable.
Also, my husband and I find the Sphinx very cute.
I really like the idea of the whole thing revolving around an action mom. Webcomic characters don't seem to have kids much, and cartoon moms are usually background characters. This is a nice subversion!
Definitely. It's really one of those ideas you're kinda surprised hasn't been done already. I just love that, going by the flashbacks we've been given, she's still more or less the same person she was before she had Gastro. She's a wonderful mother, a badass warrior, and proud of it!
Haha, I know, I love Trivia! Sometimes I wish David would toss her a bone and have someone not know the answer to her riddle. But I suppose that would then mean that someone gets eaten...

Klepto didn't, but of course he just had to be a good guesser.
Surprisingly serious plot twist.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Didn't see that coming.
It's always something. If it's not monsters or evil magic, it's the law.
Speaking of startling revelations, was anyone else thrown aback by the revelation that Philia is FROM THE FUTURE!?.
Considering that that happened in "Bad Comics", I'm not entirely convinced that it's canon. I hope it is, because it's pretty cool.
It would also explain #11 here.
Oh wait, these two pages. Apparently Philia has Chronologium. Yeah, she's a Time Cop, all right.

Ha! Good eye, I'd only been going off her remarks on the Badder Comics page.
Well, at least we know Philia's got a long term story arc going. She is ten times more awesome now.
Yeah, finding out that Philia is in the Time Police made me delighted.
I just love how lightly this series approaches the issue of slavery.
Whoa. WHOA. Startling revelations in the newest page!
Not only is Philia a time traveler, but she's PHOBIA'S DAUGHTER!?
Really didn't expect that.
Yeah, same. Though I guess it explains this image from David's tumblr account.
It's cool how Dave keeps throwing in stuff that looks like random nonsense at the time, but turns out to be foreshadowing in retrospect.
My adoration for this comic grows with every new page. It's not natural, I tell you. And I think Philia is my favourite character.
Really hope this won't turn out to be a joke (because I just added this under Luke, I Am Your Father.)

Welp. Color me impressed.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I adore this comic to no end.
Looked and looked, but I couldn't find a previously existing thread.
Link to the comic's main page. And a link to the wiki entry.
Sooo... who else reads?
