William Garza steepled his fingers for a moment before speaking, "You should tell me what it is you want to know".

Clark nodded. "Interrogation isn't exactly my forte but I'm up for it."

Cannon Street Station, City of London

It’s pretty much an open secret that the various branches of Britain’s Military Intelligence service are based in very obvious places in London. MI 6 at Vauxhall Cross, and MI 5 at Thames House.

So it should also come as no surprise that the more secretive bits of the two aren’t based at either of those. And so we find ourselves at an unassuming service elevator in one of the lesser-trod parts of the concourse at Cannon Street station.

A man in a non-descript grey suit stepped into the lift, and hauled the door across. He dropped an ID card out of his sleeve, and swiped it through a hidden reader, before placing his hand on what looked like a pane of black glass.

“Please identify for scan verification.” “Rose. Captain Jonathan M.” He stated, and a pale blue line slid down over his hand. ”Identity Confirmed.”

The lift lurched slightly, and dropped down in near silence.

The Circus, they called it. Home of Section C, one of MI 6’s counter-terrorism units, specialising in the more “paranormal”. Which seemed to be happening a lot recently.

Jon pulled his office door across, and slumped down into the chair. His email inbox was flashing on the computer screen.

“Hrm… Stuff for the Gurongi files… Imagin… Orphnochs.” He muttered under his breath. “Another day at the office.”

With a sigh, he pulled his SIG and its holster from his waistband, and dropped it into a desk drawer.

London-Kings Cross

"Don't worry about that, I can fill in if you're not feeling up to it; it's kind of a specialty of mine" Agent Cain said as she reached for her phone. "Let me just call home and tell them to put the kettle on, then we can get out of here". Her fingers danced across the smooth display of her Blackberry before she smiled, put it back in her coat and motioned for them to follow her.

Jon had barely begun to relax when the phone at his desk began to ring with a generic buzzing tone. Swiping a finger across the display he saw a brief but important message staring back at him.

I'll be over in a bit, bringing some of our friends from Minton to talk shop and chat with our friends from Boston" -Cassandra

Clark nodded and stood, following after Cain.

Gotcha. Hopefully things won't go over as badly this time.

Jon tapped out before slotting the Galaxy back into his pocket.

London

Moments later Agent Cain and company walked through the security entrance and into The Circus proper, passers by giving them the occasional glance before moving with a purpose to their no doubt covert task. Taking a seat on one of the empty couches in the atrium, Warren slowly began to watch the crowd.

"He should be expecting us, my liaison here I mean" Cassandra said as she took out her phone. "Our British cousins are keen on working with Langley on this one and vice versa, one big happy family and all that". Hitting send, she stuck a stray strand of hair away while she waited.

We're in the lobby, see you shortly. -Cassandra

"I'll set the timer for the backpedaling to begin once we start finding where someone screwed up." Clark commented. "So, who is this liaison?"

"That would be me."

London

"Ah Agent Clark, meet Captain Rose; British intelligence. I suppose that this is where you make the introductions".

"Yeah. Welcome to Section C. So how are things in Scotland right now?"

"It's a magical place." Clark grinned.

"Well, as long as that magic's not making the dead walk, we're OK." Jon paused. "Or at least if it's not doing that again."

"Everything." Lita said.

London

"No, no necromancy running rampant in the highlands again. The last think we need right now is a full blown horde" Agent Cain said as she tapped her foot nervously. "Well now that the formalities are all said and done, how about we get to the matter at hand. As I said earlier, we currently have the individuals apprehended at Otis under lock and key, now this is a pretty big deal for our respective governments because this is the first time that we've managed to take live prisoners" he said with a short glance to Warren. "We've been interrogation them as of recently, but I wanted to unofficially debrief you guys before having you sit in on one of the sessions, maybe there's something that we may have missed, a fresh set of eyes is always good."

"I can understand where you're coming from but you're going to have to be patient, things like this will take time, but that doesn't that I can't help you get your quest going in the right direction. Is there an area in specific that you want to know about?"

At this, Clark actually gave a small smile. "I appreciate it." He said. "What else do we need to know, or...?"

London

"Honestly, that's all there is for the time being, if there's something specific that you want to ask me then go ahead and do it" Agent Cain said. "We both know that there are ongoing operations for everyone, but there's a chance that the intel we gather here can help us get off this reactionary footing we've been having."

"Can you start with 'what are they?', only in more than fifteen words?"

Spain

It took most of the night, but Lita was persistant and gained answers from her grandfather. His life and service to Albus Dumbledore during the war, his activities after that as well as insight on their new threat. His counsel on the Djinn and it's masters was most relevant, and she left Spain with a full mind and significantly less questions.

London

The interrogations ended a few hours later and Clark, Warren, and Cpt. Rose found themselves in a small courtyard in the compound, taking in the midday sun while breathing in secondhand smoke from Agent Cain's cigarette. She had a few folders in her hand and was quietly reviewing the video that they had recorded in the chambers, her face a blank slate as her green eyes darted back and forth.

"Well this is good for now, a bit more than what we knew earlier but I think that it will actually help" she said as she look up at the trio of men. "I'll pour over this some more and have my office pass it on to your people, I'm going to be here for a bit, suppose i'll be seeing you around." - - -

2 months later

"Well that went well" Warren said as he threw his sweat soaked tshirt into a laundry bin at one of Minton's locker rooms. "And here I thought that they were letting the standards drop when it came to new recruits."

Somewhere dark

Thump

The fist impacted Clark square in the stomach,  knocking the air out of him and causing him to drop to his knees, the old chains around his wrists the only thing keeping him from falling face first onto the dusty stone floor.

An old burlap sack covered his head and obscured everything but sound, and if he listened hard enough he could hear running water. Gathering his thoughts, he slowly began to come to, his Arabic helping to decipher what had once been a blur.

"You're  one of them, aren't you? Speak up!"
