Shulk with a tether grab, you love to see it.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I thought people wanted to see a non-sword wielder. Does Xenoblade have those?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI mean, yeah. It is more about focusing on central characters. But in case people are wondering about cast of Chronicles and 2:
- Uses a sword:
- Shulk uses the Monado
- Fiora uses pair of knives/swods
- Dunban uses a katana
- Rex and Pyra/Mythra have their swords
- Morag/Brighid use double Whip Swords
- Zeke/Pandoria have a BFS
- Doesn't use a sword:
- Reyn has a shield that has a lance and gun modes
- Sharla uses a sniper rifle
- Melia uses staves and magic
- Rikki uses a... grabber? Club?
- Nia/Dromarch uses pair of chakrams. Though Blade Nia has a scimitar
- Weird mix point:
- Tora has three different weapons based on Poppi's form. Standard Poppi has a shield with a hidden drill in it. Poppi QT has rocket-firing gauntlets. Poppi QTπ has a replica of Pyra/Mythra's sword.
Geez, that's nearly the half-cast.
Well, I still think they should be given a shot to be in the game.
As for the Torna DLC:
Jin, Addam, Mythra, Hugo, Brighid, and Aegaeon all use different sword varieties.
Lora uses hand-to-hand combat supplemented with a whip, Haze uses a staff, and Minoth uses twin gun-knives.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Is Lora that Hinoka-looking chick?
Either way, her fighting style does stand out.
Yeah, Lora is the Hinoka lookalike.
Lora's a much better character than Hinoka though.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!TBH, that's not saying much.
There is also Vandham/Roc who use dual scythes.
It's been 3000 years…You could say Dunban was BORN IN A WORLD OF STRIFE
No, the sequel has the Cloud Sea.
-Witty line-I don't get it? What does that have to do with Dunban or Xenoblade 2?
Cloud Strife. Dunban can't be born in a world of Strife since the world of Clouds was in the sequel.
Its quite a hilarious, profound and sexy joke.
-Witty line-Well, now I just feel stupid.
Everyone's talking about characters they'd like in future games, and me I just want Break the Targets and Board the Platforms back.
I'd like Fighters to have trophies again.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'd like to see actually new things in the vein of both of those...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Board the Platforms should be a playable character.
-Witty line-Actually, the idea of a player controlling the stage hazards & environment sounds very enticing to me personally.
I would've loved to see Boss Battle Mode where the user controls the bosses via the touchpad. Honestly workable in multiple ways(would've worked for Smash 4, including 3DS, and Smash Ultimate). ...Besides that, you could have classic Ridley from Brawl(including Meta Ridley) or his 4 incarnation as a playable boss. Also a great way to have Master Hand as an option.
Yea, I was really hoping that would be the case for Ultimate but it just didn't happen. It's a real bummer.
At the very least, you should be able to use Master Hand in one of the Multi-Man type modes. That's honestly surprising he's only shortly usable even now. Like, I wouldn't mind having to earn to use him fully in certain modes, as he's a bonus character effectively, but having to do all that just to play as him for a few minutes? Really disappointing design choice.
It's still surprising that they removed bosses going into Ultimate.
-Witty line-Do you mean the Boss Battle mode? Cause Bosses are still clearly there(including a few stage-based ones, but mainly in Adventure Mode... and in some Classic Modes. Not counting Sephiroth's being an actual Boss Battles Mode).
Dunban focuses more on one-handed katana combat, and as a fighter he focuses on chaining different special moves in quick succession.
