Super Smash Bros.

So they probably have all their specials from Smash 4, unless some were replaced. Was admittedly hoping for more options, but I'll take what they give.

Glad all the specials are still around, some of my Miis kind of hinged on being able to use certain special moves, flavor-wise. Was kind of hoping for more, but I'll take what I can get.

That reminds me of my idea for a Mii revamp I posted a while ago.

You know, I'm not actually seeing the Mii Fighter blog post on the site. Did they recant that update for some reason?

I don't see why all 3 Mii's moveset can't just share with their specials with one to another.

I like to have my Mii Brawler have the option to use "Charge Shot" instead of a shot put ball.

Looking at the video closer, some things have changed about them.

• Mii Brawler now has a counter grab attack, whereas only Mii Swordfighter had the counter last game.

• This may replace one of Mii Brawler's old Down Bs: Feint Jump, which can be both a good and bad thing. Good in that Feint Jump was far and away Mii Brawler's best Down B option, bad for exactly the same reason (it's basically a more horizontal version of Zero Suit Samus' Down B).

• Mii Brawler has a new Up B too, either replacing Piston Punch or Helicopter Kick, with elements of both. It has Mii Brawler punch into the air twice in a row, moving sideways while doing so.

• Mii Brawler's Soaring Axe Kick looks the same, and in hindsight confirmed that custom moves were returning, since Mii Brawler clearly used two separate Up Bs here.

• Mii Swordfighter's Slash Launcher has a new animation, which is good since its old animation with Reverse Grip looked really weak.

• Blurring Blade also has fire effects, which looks nice, though it kind of throws off my Brook Mii.

• Can't say much about Mii Gunner or their grab moves. Mii Gunner's moves look the same and I never really used their grabs.

Well, looks like one of the leaks was debunked as they said a new character was going to appear on July 22 or 23.

The Nintendo Direct leak at least.

But given the Codename leak said a Mini-Direct, then we could expect one either this week or next week

Or, just a thought, we could reel in our expectations and take actual official updates as they come. Nintendo usually announces their Directs a few days ahead of time.

Look there's a difference between wanting a character and believing every single 4chan leak we come across. It's fake. Of course it's fake. If it were real he would have just said the names of the characters because no legit leaker ever plays little mindgames with people; they always just bluntly state the info.

Look, it's not a bad thing to be optimistic. We're all excited about this game, and are eagerly awaiting updates on it, just like you. The thing is, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment every time you buy into a 'leak'. Sure, some of them may be right; it did happen for Ryu and Roy's DLC announcement. Like I say, though, there's a lot of misinformation out there. Believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear.

Whatever character or mode may be revealed next, I'll never be disappointed because they may be good.

Wait, the leaker for today was the riddle leaker? Darn, that one had K Rool.

Not likely.

So who's gonna do the new Codec/Guidance stuff?

Alternatively, one of the newcomers we haven't seen yet.

Or they might just recycle Palutena's Guidance and use the generic DLC conversation for all the characters not from Smash 4. Which would be disappointing.

Given that Antony Del Rio recorded new lines for the game...they'll make new ones for the Smash 4 DL Cs and the newcomers it seems.

If the Squid Sisters weren't already an assist trophy, I'd have suggested that they give their commentary while on Moray Towers. There's always Off the Hook, though.

Off the Hook is a bit too late. Their focal roles just got released last month.
